Cibola High School (CHS) is a public senior high school located in northwest Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is part of the Albuquerque Public Schools District. Due to rapid population growth on the west side of Albuquerque, Cibola was the largest high school in the state of New Mexico until 2006, and was overcrowded with over 3,200 students and 62 portable classrooms. School enrollment was reduced in 2007 with the opening of a new high school on Albuquerque’s west side. Volcano Vista High School opened in the fall of 2007. The following year, in 2008, CHS underwent a massive remodel and expansion of the school. The current enrollment stands at 2,197.

Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) is a public tribal land-grant community college in unincorporated Bernalillo County, New Mexico, with an Albuquerque postal address. It is federally operated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and funded through the Bureau of Indian Education, both agencies within the United States Department of the Interior. More than 120 different Indian Tribes are represented in SIPI's student body.

The Adrian Barela House is a historic house in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built around 1900, probably by Adrian Barela and his wife Jesusita Tenorio, who lived there until the early 1930s. The building was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located on the same block as another historic property, the Refugio Gomez House. The house is an example of New Mexico vernacular architecture, with stuccoed adobe walls and simple wooden trim. The roof was originally flat but was replaced with a pitched roof with intersecting gables soon after the house was built. The gables are decorated with diamond-shaped wooden shingles and diamond-shaped windows. The house was originally L-shaped, but is now rectangular after a kitchen was added in the mid-20th century. It has original 1-over-1 wood-framed sash windows and an off-center front entrance.

The Refugio Gomez House is a historic house in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built around 1875 and was probably purchased by Refugio Gomez in 1911. In 1942, the house was bought by Mela Sedillo Koeber, who built an addition containing a kitchen and bathroom. The building was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located on the same block as another historic property, the Adrian Barela House. The house is an example of Territorial architecture. It has irregular adobe walls, which are 18 to 24 inches (46 to 61 cm) thick, and simple wooden door and window trim. The original section of the house is at the front, while two additions at the rear date to the 1890s and 1942–43, respectively. A much larger addition was constructed on the south side around 2012. The interior of the house features original wooden floorboards, vigas, and corner fireplaces. The historic nomination also includes an adobe chicken coop on the property which has been converted into a small house.

Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, known locally simply as "Los Ranchos" or "The Village," is a village in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. The population was 6,024 at the time of the 2010 Census.

KQNM (1550 AM) is a radio station in Albuquerque, New Mexico. KQNM is owned by Relevant Radio, Inc. and airs a Catholic radio ministry featuring network talk programs and broadcasts of the mass. KQNM broadcasts at 10,000 watts by day. But because AM 1550 is a clear-channel frequency reserved for Mexico and Canada, the station must drastically reduce power at night to 27 watts. The transmitter tower is in the city's Old Town district northwest of downtown. KQNM programming is simulcast on FM translator K255AU 98.9 MHz, licensed to nearby Corrales.

The Juan Chavez House is a historic two-story terrone house in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built in 1914-1917 by Juan Chavez, a native of San Acacia, New Mexico who lived here with his wife Candelaria and their nine children. Half of the first floor was a grocery, out of which the family sold produce. Chavez also worked for a liquor wholesaler, Stern, Schloss and Company. During prohibition, which lasted from 1920 to 1933, he stored bootlegged alcohol in the upstairs bedroom. In 1948, the house was purchased by Louis Gross and his wife, Leona. He sold fruit, vegetables, and his own wine, made in Bernalillo, New Mexico. The house was later inherited by his son, Louis W. Gross. Wilhelmina (Billie) Gross, wife of Louis W. Gross, was instrumental in getting the house listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1983 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The house was remodelled as a hair salon by Frank Vallejos in 1989.

Paradise Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 4,256 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Middle Rio Grande AVA is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) with a wine grape heritage dating back to 1629. Located in New Mexico, it is part of American wine’s larger New Mexico wine region. The region is located from Santa Fe to the bosque of the Rio Grande, centering around the Albuquerque metropolitan area. It was officially designated as an AVA in 1988. The AVA encompasses 278,400 acres (112,664 ha) of land in a narrow strip along the Rio Grande valley from Santa Fe to Belen, just south of Albuquerque. The land ranges from 4,000 to 6,500 feet (1,200 to 2,000 m) in elevation. The climate is semi-arid, with warm days and cool nights. Sub-freezing temperatures occur in the winter. A variety of Vitis vinifera and French hybrid grapes are grown. New Mexico State University has conducted viticultural research in test vineyards in the Middle Rio Grande Valley at the Los Lunas Agricultural Science Center.

North Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, United States. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP population was 11,333. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Los Ranchos/Journal Center is a station on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter rail line, located in North Valley, New Mexico. It is located just south of Paseo del Norte between Second and Edith. It serves residents of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque and the North Valley. The station opened on July 14, 2006 as one of the three original stations on the line along with Sandoval County/US 550 and Downtown Albuquerque. Passengers can transfer to ABQRide Route 251, which serves the Jefferson corridor and Rio Rancho. The station has free parking, with 270 spaces. The station is also served by the Park and Ride Purple route. Each of the Rail Runner stations contains an icon to express each community's identity. The icon representing this station is a horse, representing the importance of horse travel and farming in the region.
