The Domestic Science and Manual Training School (also known as the St. Petersburg City Hall Annex) is an historic school in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is located at 440-442 2nd Avenue North. On October 14, 1999, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Due to its good weather, the city has long been a popular retirement destination, although in recent years the population has moved in a much more youthful direction.

The Dennis Hotel (also known as the McCarthy Hotel) is a historic hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is located at 326 1st Avenue North. On April 17, 1986, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Snell Arcade (also known as the Rutland Building) is a historic site in St. Petersburg, Florida. The building was designed by the architect Richard Kiehnel of Kiehnel and Elliott. Built in 1926, it is located at 405 Central Avenue. On November 4, 1982, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Snell Arcade was developed by C. Perry Snell, a wealthy landowner and philanthropist.

The S. H. Kress and Co. Building, a historic building located at 475 Central Avenue at the corner of 5th Street S. in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. It was built in 1927 in the classical Commercial style influenced by the Beaux-Arts movement. The building operated as a "five and-dime" store from 1927 until the company closed it c.1981.The building is located within the Downtown St. Petersburg Historic District, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 1, 2001.

The St. Petersburg Public Library (also known as the Mirror Lake Community Library or Carnegie Library) is a Carnegie library built in 1915 in Beaux-Arts style. It was one of ten Florida Carnegie libraries to receive grants awarded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York from 1901 to 1917. Steel magnate and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie provided funding for more than 3,000 Carnegie libraries in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The library is significant to the city's history as the first permanent home of the public library system and embodies the transformation of the city in the second decade of the twentieth century from a pioneer village to a city with viable cultural institutions.

The First Methodist Church of St. Petersburg (also known as the First United Methodist Church of St. Petersburg) is a historic church in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is located at 212 3rd Street, North. On September 13, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Alexander Hotel is an historic hotel located at 535 Central Avenue between 5th Street S. and 6th Street S. in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The four-story, buff-colored brick building was built in 1919 and was designed by Neel Reid in the Classical Revival style. It has been converted to an office building. On November 1, 1984, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It is located within the Downtown St. Petersburg Historic District.

Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement (MAACM) is a 137,000 sq ft (12,700 m2) museum which opened in 2021 in St. Petersburg, Florida. The museum is funded by The Two Red Roses Foundation, which in turn was endowed by art collector, businessman and philanthropist Rodolfo (Rudy) Ciccarello. The Museum displays the Foundation's collection of fine and decorative arts of the Arts and Crafts Movement period. Construction began in 2015. Designed by Alfonso Architects, the museum is five stories and features a grand atrium, skylights, a spiral staircase, more than 40,000 square feet of gallery space, a children’s gallery, a reference library, a theater, a graphic studio, and a green space. The building is reported to have cost at least $90 million.
