Kohimarama School

Barfoot & Thompson Stadium (formerly ASB Stadium), is a New Zealand venue for sports and entertainment events in Kohimarama, Auckland, New Zealand. The name sponsorship by Barfoot & Thompson, a leading real estate company, began in 2018. Barfoot & Thompson Stadium is a training and competition venue for many local clubs and organisations including East City Futsal Indoor Soccer Club, Auckland Ultimate, Auckland Basketball, Sparta Volleyball Club, Orakei Tigers Basketball Club, Howick & St Heliers Judo Club, Aikido Auckland Aikikai and many more. The venue has many other facilities as well, including a preschool, gym, physio therapy, after school care and school holiday programme, and is located on Selwyn College.

Madills Farm Reserve, also known as Madills Farm, is a reserve and sports ground in the suburb of Kohimarama in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the home ground of Eastern Suburbs, the Kohimarama Yacht club and the Parnell Cricket Club.

Mission Bay is a seaside suburb of Auckland city, on the North Island of New Zealand. The suburb's beach is a popular resort, located alongside Tamaki Drive. The area also has a wide range of eateries. Mission Bay is located seven kilometres to the east of the city centre, on the southern shore of the Waitematā Harbour, between Ōrākei and Kohimarama. It covers an area of 1.08 km2 (267 acres), about three quarters of which comprises low hills, surrounding the remaining quarter, which slopes down to the sea. Local government of Mission Bay is the responsibility of the Ōrākei Local Board, which also includes the suburbs of Ōrākei, Kohimarama, St Heliers, Glendowie, St Johns, Meadowbank, Remuera and Ellerslie.

The New Zealand Flying School was formed in 1915, by the Walsh Brothers, Leo and Vivian, to train pilots for the Royal Flying Corps. The school flew a fleet of home-built and imported flying boats from Mission Bay on Auckland's Waitemata Harbour, near where a sculpture [1] now stands to commemorate the Walsh brothers. Over 100 pilots trained at the school, most of them going on to serve in the First World War, including ace Keith Caldwell. The flying school was sold to the New Zealand Government in 1924 after struggling to survive after the end of the war.

Kohimarama is a coastal residential Auckland suburb, located to the east of the city. Kohimarama is situated between Mission Bay and St Heliers and has an accessible beach with a boardwalk and green recreational spaces located amongst residential areas. Kepa Bush Reserve is an ecological reserve on the Auckland isthmus in New Zealand, south of Mission Bay. It is situated near the smaller St John's Bush and is also known as the Pourewa Valley.

Purewa railway station was a station on the North Island Main Trunk line (NIMT) in Auckland, New Zealand. It was located between Glen Innes station and Ōrākei station.

Purewa Cemetery is a privately run cemetery located in Auckland, New Zealand, on the southern banks of the Pourewa Creek. Established on part of the grounds of the St John's Theological College in 1889, the Purewa is one of the few privately run cemeteries in Auckland. It occupies a site of 45 ha (110 acres) and contains two chapels and a crematorium. Notable burials at the cemetery include Prime Minister Robert Muldoon and actor Kevin Smith, and figures including Sir Edmund Hillary and broadcaster Paul Holmes have been cremated at the cemetery.

Grammar TEC is a rugby club in Auckland, New Zealand resulting from an amalgamation of several rugby clubs . The clubs involved include Grafton and Cornwall, who united to form Carlton. The creation of Carlton was followed by teams called Teachers and Eastern who formed Teachers Eastern. Another team merger involving Carlton and Grammar Old Boys in 1996 produced the team known as Grammar Carlton. Finally, Grammar Carlton and Teachers Eastern came together and became Grammar TEC in 2013. Grammar TEC, a merger of five clubs, was successful in winning the Gallaher Shield in 2015.

Takaparawhau / Bastion Point is a coastal piece of land in Ōrākei, Auckland, New Zealand, overlooking the Waitematā Harbour. The area is significant in New Zealand history as the site of protests in the late 1970s by Māori against forced land alienation by Pākehā (European settlers). Takaparawhau is now the site of the private Ōrākei Marae, the public Michael Joseph Savage Memorial, and privately-owned reserve land that is accessible to the public.

St Johns Bush is a reserve in East Auckland in New Zealand. It is situated in a small valley near the larger Kepa Bush Reserve. It is named after the nearby suburb St Johns.
