The Federal High Court of Ethiopia (Amharic: የፌድራል ከፍተኛ ፍርድ ቤት) is the second-level court division in Ethiopia. The FDRE Constitution delegates judicial jurisdiction to the Federal High Court, along with the First Instance and State Courts. It has its headquarters in Addis Ababa's Lideta district.

The Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development (EiABC) is an institute for architectural and civil construction in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The International Lutheran Church (ILC) is the English-speaking congregation of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY) which meets in the Lidetta section of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Although it follows the Lutheran confession and worship, ILC welcomes any Christian worshippers.

Mexico Square is a traffic circle in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia named after the country of Mexico. After the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, Mexico was one of only five countries that refused to recognize Italy's annexation of Ethiopia. Mexican support for an independent Ethiopia was a key event in Ethiopia–Mexico relations. The Addis Ababa Light Rail system has an overpass over Mexico Square. In 2013, much of the square was demolished to make way for the train. Mexico station is located about 500 meters to the east of the traffic circle. There was a corresponding Ethiopia Square in Mexico City, which was also the location of a traffic circle. Ethiopia Square was replaced by a metro station, Metro Etiopía.

Ethiopian Electric Power Headquarters is a 62-storey office building under construction in the Kirkos district of Addis Ababa, the capital and largest city of Ethiopia. The building is located right on Mexico Square, and once completed, it is expected to become the tallest building in East Africa, as well as the second tallest in Africa.

Lideta Airport (ICAO: HAAL) also colloquially known as the Old Airport (and "Ivo Oliveti" airport when inaugurated) is a decommissioned military airport located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX) is a commodities exchange established April 2008 in Ethiopia. In Proclamation 2007-550, which created the ECX, its stated objective was "to ensure the development of an efficient modern trading system" that would "protect the rights and benefits of sellers, buyers, intermediaries, and the general public." The ECX is set up as a private company owned by a partnership of the market actors, members of the exchange, and the Ethiopian government, led by Eleni Gebre Medhin a former economist for the International Food Policy Research Institute and the World Bank. As of July 2011, the physical presence of the ECX consists of 55 warehouses in 17 regional locations. It has grown from trading 138,000 tons in its first year to 508,000 tons in its third year, with nearly equal shares of coffee and oilseeds and pulses. The value of the ECX rose 368% between 2010 and 2011 to reach US$1.1 billion. As of November 2010, the trading floor in Addis Ababa handled 200 spot contracts in commodities such as coffee, sesame, navy beans, maize and wheat. It was assessed in July 2011 that membership equaled 243 with clients, who trade through members, about 7,800. Farmer cooperatives represented 2.4 million smallholder farmers, which make up 12% of the membership.Currently, the ECX is the only stock or commodity exchange in Africa to have streamlined payment transfers down to "T+1" (ext day payment after a trade) from its clearinghouse to its partner commercial banks. Market data reach is expansive. "Push" price date is transmitted in real time to outdoor electronic ticker boards in 32 rural sites, the ECX website, 256,000 mobile subscribers via instant messaging, the radio, TV and print media. "Pull" market data is available through a toll-free phone-in service. The service received more than 1 million calls in September 2011, 70% coming from rural callers.The first year of the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange's existence is documented in the PBS Wide Angle film The Market Maker.

The Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority (Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ የዱር እንሰሳት ልማትና ጥበቃ ባለስልጣን; EWCA) is an Ethiopian government agency responsible for wildlife conservation and management of protected areas in Ethiopia. Established in 1964, the agency is operated under Ministry of Tourism. In 2008, the institution was reestablished by Proclamation No. 575/2008. Currently, Kumara Wakijira has been the director-general of EWCA.

St. Mary's University, established in 1998, is an Ethiopian institution of higher learning located in the capital Addis Ababa. After fifteen years of service as a college first and a university college since 2008, it earned university status from the Ethiopian Ministry of Education in September 2013. The university has four campuses in Addis Ababa, 13 Distance Education Regional Centers, and 160 Coordination Offices throughout the country. It has 200 full-time academic staff and 1000 employees. It caters to the needs of six thousand undergraduate students, twenty thousand students enrolled in distance education programs, and two thousand students in graduate programs. Eight graduate programs are run in partnership with Indira Gandhi National Open University. These programs include Business Administration, Public Administration, Library and Information Science, Sociology, Economics, Commerce, Rural Development and Political Science in the distance mode of learning. In the conventional mode of learning, St. Mary's is accredited for ten graduate programs: MBA, HRM, Project Management, Accounting and Finance, Marketing management, Development Economics, Computer Science, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics and Rural Development. The university has a testing center that provides standardized tests, job placement tests, and international tests such as the IBT- TOEFL and GRE. St. Mary's has opened a K-12 school that is widening its reach in the realms of general education.

The African Union Conference Center and Office Complex (AUCC) is a building in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is the headquarters of the African Union and plays host to the biannual AU summits. It also serves as a conference center for African and diaspora businesses. The main building is 99.9 m (328 ft) tall and it is the second tallest building in Addis Ababa. Its cost was US$200 million, and it was mainly funded by the Chinese government.

Italian East Africa (Italian: Africa Orientale Italiana, AOI) was an Italian colony in the Horn of Africa. It was formed in 1936 through the merger of Italian Somalia, Italian Eritrea, and the newly occupied Ethiopian Empire, conquered in the Second Italo-Ethiopian War.Italian East Africa was divided into six governorates. Eritrea and Somalia, Italian possessions since the 1880s, were enlarged with captured Ethiopian territory and became the Eritrea and Somalia Governorates. The remainder of "Italian Ethiopia" consisted the Harar, Galla-Sidamo, Amhara, and Scioa Governorates. Fascist colonial policy had a divide and conquer characteristic, and favoured the Oromos, the Somalis and other Muslims in an attempt to weaken their ties to the Amharas who had been the ruling ethnic group in the Ethiopian Empire.During the Second World War, Italian East Africa was occupied by a British-led force including colonial units and Ethiopian guerrillas in November 1941. After the war, Italian Somalia and Eritrea came under British administration, while Ethiopia regained its independence. In 1950, occupied Somalia became the United Nations Trust Territory of Somaliland, administered by Italy from 1950 until its independence in 1960. Occupied Eritrea became an autonomous part of Ethiopia in 1952, and was later annexed by the Ethiopian Empire in 1962.

The International Community School of Addis Ababa (ICS Addis; Amharic: ኢንተርናሽናል ኮምዩኒቲ ትምህርት ቤት) is an international school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia founded in 1964. The school has an enrollment of around 1,000 students from 67 nations. ICS Addis has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools since 1992. The school was accredited again in December 2014. ICS Addis has been authorized to offer, the International Baccalaureate Program (IBDP) since March 1982. ICS Addis is located on a 15-acre (61,000m2) tract. The sports facility of the school includes among others a 300-meter track dedicated to Haile Gebrselassie and a sports pavilion. The Early Childhood area, is on a separate campus right next to the main campus. The New Classroom Building (NCB), dedicated for the middle school, equipped with classrooms and laboratories.
