Lagyna (Greek: Λαγυνά) is a village and a community of the Lagkadas municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Lagkadas, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 3,591 inhabitants in the village. The community of Lagyna covers an area of 13.435 km2.According to the statistics of Vasil Kanchov ("Macedonia, Ethnography and Statistics"), 700 Greek Christians lived in the village in 1900.

Central Macedonia (Greek: Κεντρική Μακεδονία, romanized: Kentrikí Makedonía, IPA: [ce(n)driˈci maceðoˈni.a]) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece, consisting of the central part of the geographical and historical region of Macedonia. With a population of almost 1.8 million, it is the second most populous in Greece after Attica.

Filyro (Greek: Φίλυρο) is a suburban village located 10 km northeast from the city of Thessaloniki, Greece. It is part of the municipality Pylaia–Chortiatis, and is located at the northwest end of Mount Chortiatis.

Lete (Ancient Greek: Λήτη or Λητή) was an ancient city in Mygdonia, Macedon and Roman Catholic titular see in the Roman province of Macedonia.

Derveni (Greek: Δερβένι) is a location between Efkarpia and Lagyna, approximately ten kilometers north-east of Thessaloniki. At Derveni an archeological site is located where a necropolis was discovered, part of a cemetery of the ancient city of Lete. Valuable artifacts were uncovered at this site, including the Derveni papyrus and Derveni krater.

Asvestochori (Greek: Ασβεστοχώρι) is a small town and a community of the Pylaia-Chortiatis municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Chortiatis, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 6,393 inhabitants in the community. The community of Asvestochori covers an area of 34.344 km2.Under the Turkish rule name of the town was called Kireç (lit. lime). It is reported that during the Population exchange between Greece and Turkey a guest house that can accommodate 5000 immigrants was built by Red Crescent in Kireç.

The Tomb of Macridy Bey (Greek: Τάφος Μακρίδη Μπέη, romanized: tafos makridi bei, also known as the Tomb of Langadas, is an ancient Macedonian tomb of the Classical or early Hellenistic period, on the site of ancient Lete, modern Derveni between Thessaloniki and Langadas, in Central Macedonia, Greece. A number of cist graves and a single chamber tomb are located in the vicinity. The structure seems to date to the late fourth or early third century BCE.

Agios Vasileios (Greek: Άγιος Βασίλειος) is a village and a community of the Lagkadas municipality in Greece. Before the local government reform of 2011, it was part of the municipality of Koroneia, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 1,309 inhabitants in the village. The community of Agios Vasileios covers an area of 28.271 km2.

Chortiatis (Greek: Χορτιάτης) is a suburb and a former municipality in the Thessaloniki regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 Kallikratis local government reform it is part of the municipality Pylaia-Chortiatis, of which it is a municipal unit. It lies at 600 metres altitude on the slopes of the Mount Chortiatis, from which it takes its name. The municipal unit Chortiatis has an area of 109.934 km2, and the community Chortiatis has an area of 57.315 km2.

Exochi (Greek: Εξοχή) is a village and a community of the Pylaia-Chortiatis municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Chortiatis, of which it was a municipal district. The 2011 census recorded 1,280 inhabitants in the community. The community of Exochi covers an area of 2.575 km2.

Pefka (Greek: Πεύκα) or Retziki is a suburb and a former municipality in the Thessaloniki regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Neapoli-Sykies, of which it is a municipal unit. Population 13,052 (2011). It has a land area of 1.800 km².

Seih Sou or Seikh Su (Σέιχ Σου, from Turkish: Şeyh Su, meaning the Sheikh's Water), also known as Kedrinos Lofos (Greek: Κέδρινος Λόφος, Cedar Hill), is a hilltop forest just to the north and northeast of the city of Thessaloniki, Greece, that rises to the west of Mount Chortiatis. The forest covers 2,979 hectares (7,361 acres) and reaches an elevation of 563 meters (1,847 feet).
