Dortmund-Wickede is a railway station in the Dortmund district of Wickede in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station. It was opened on 26 May 1963 on the Welver–Sterkrade railway completed between Welver and the old Dortmund Süd (south) station by the Royal Westphalian Railway Company on 15 May 1876 and electrified on 25 May 1984.It is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S 4 at 20-minute intervals. It is also served by Dortmund Stadtbahn line U 43 at 20-minute intervals.The station is also served by bus route R51 (Massen - Unna + Holzwickede - Opherdicke) of Verkehrsgesellschaft Kreis Unna at 60-minute intervals.

9ff is a German car tuning company based in Dortmund. It was founded by Jan Fatthauer in 2001. It specializes in converting stock Porsches into street legal racing vehicles, either as fully tuned cars, or by selling individual parts or kits. The company is best known for building one of the first cars to exceed 400 km/h (249 mph), the GT9, capable of 256 mph (412 km/h). The former company, 9ff Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH, filed for bankruptcy in September 2013. A new company, 9ff Engineering GmbH was founded in October 2013.

Unna West is a railway station in the Unna district of Massen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station. It was opened on 3 June 1984 on the Fröndenberg–Kamen railway completed between Unna and Unna-Königsborn by the Prussian state railways on 1 April 1900 and electrified on 25 May 1984.It is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S 4 at 30-minute intervals.The station is also served by bus routes C41 (Unna + Massen - Holzwickede - Dortmund Airport) and R51 (Unna + Massen - Wickede - Holzwickede - Opherdicke) of Verkehrsgesellschaft Kreis Unna, both at 60-minute intervals.

Wickede is the easternmost borough in the city of Dortmund, Germany. Until 1830 Wickede was a village with a purely peasant population. With the beginning of industrialization Wickede's population grew. Today it has 15,398 inhabitants , which makes it one of the more populous boroughs of Dortmund. Wickede was incorporated into Dortmund in 1928. Today it is a part of the Stadtbezirk ("City District") Brackel and it borders the towns of Unna and Holzwickede. The borough is also home to the Dortmund Airport. Some areas of Wickede are considered socially disadvantaged. The overall unemployment rate of the borough is slightly higher than in the city as a whole and the average annual income is slightly lower than the city's average. Wickede is connected to the city center through light rail and has two railway stations (see Dortmund-Wickede station and Dortmund-Wickede West station).

It was opened on 15 May 1876 on the Welver–Sterkrade railway completed between Welver and the old Dortmund Süd (south) station by the Royal Westphalian Railway Company on the same date and electrified on 25 May 1984. It was originally called Wickede-Asseln, but it was renamed Dortmund-Asseln between 1927 and 1930 and Dortmund-Wickede West on 3 June 1984.It is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S 4 at 30-minute intervals (15-minute intervals in the peak between Dortmund-Lütgendortmund and Unna-Königsborn).The station is also served by bus route 428 (Baedekerstr + Roningweg) of the municipal bus company, Dortmunder Stadtwerke (DSW21) at 20-minute intervals.

Dortmund Airport (IATA: DTM, ICAO: EDLW) is a minor international airport located 10 km (6.2 mi) east of Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. It serves the eastern Rhine-Ruhr area, the largest urban agglomeration in Germany, and is mainly used for low-cost and leisure charter flights. In 2020 the airport served 1,220,624 passengers. The nearest major international airport is Düsseldorf Airport approx. 70 km (43 mi) to the southwest.

Holzwickede station is a through station in the town of Holzwickede in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was opened on 17 December 1860, five years after the opening of the Dortmund–Soest railway. It has five platform tracks and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. The station is served by the Rhein-Münsterland-Express (RE 7) between Krefeld and Rheine, the Maas-Wupper-Express (RE 13) between Venlo and Hamm and the Hellwegbahn (RB 59) between Dortmund and Soest, each hourly.

Unna (German pronunciation: [ˈʊna] (listen)) is a city of around 59,000 people in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, the seat of the Unna district. The newly refurbished Unna station has trains to all major cities in North Rhine Westphalia including Dortmund, Cologne, Münster, Hamm, Düsseldorf and Wuppertal. There is also the Regional-Express 7 (Rhein-Münsterland-Express), which runs from Rheine via Cologne to Krefeld.

Kamen station is a station in the city of Kamen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Dortmund–Hamm railway. The line has only two tracks through Kamen, although quadruplication is planned, but its realisation is far away. Kamen station is an architectural monument built by the Cologne-Minden Railway Company in 1847. It was extensively refurbished in the late 1990s as part of a project called Internationale Bauausstellung (international building exhibition) Emscher Park and a bike parking area (one of the first in North Rhine-Westphalia) was built.

Unna-Königsborn station is located in the city of Unna in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is at the end of the remaining section of the line from Dortmund. Line S 4 trains of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn reverse here on their way to and from Unna station. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station.The station is served by S 4 services between Unna and Dortmund-Lütgendortmund station via Dortmund Stadthaus and Dortmund-Dorstfeld at 30-minute intervals (15-minute intervals in the peak between Dortmund-Lütgendortmund and Unna-Königsborn).It is also served by bus route C43 at 60-minute intervals during the day and R53 at 20- or 40-minute intervals, both operated by Verkehrsgesellschaft Kreis Unna.
