Roka-kōen Station (芦花公園駅, Roka-kōen-eki) is a railway station on the Keio Line in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Keio Corporation.The station is named after the nearby Roka Kōshun-en, a park to commemorate Japanese novelist Roka Tokutomi (1868-1927). The park is located approximately one kilometer south of the station. Despite the name, Hachimanyama Station is marginally closer to the park itself.

Soichi Bunko is a library in Japan that holds the popular, non-academic magazines and books collected and prized by Oya Soichi, with continuations of the collection after he died. Magazines include those about the popular culture of the day. Oya Soichi played an important role as a social critic for 50 years, during which time he published translations, anthologies, and books and also accumulated over 200,000 magazines, journals, and books. After he died in 1970, Oya Soichi Bunko was founded in Hachimanyama, Tokyo and later in Ogose, Saitama in an effort to catalog the books written by Oya Soichi as well as make available his own significant body of work.

The Setagaya family murder (Japanese: 世田谷一家殺害事件, Hepburn: Setagaya ikka satsugai jiken, Setagaya family killings) refers to the unsolved murders of the Miyazawa family in the Kamisoshigaya neighborhood of Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, on the night of 30 to 31 December 2000.Mikio Miyazawa, his wife Yasuko, their daughter Niina and son Rei were murdered during a home invasion by an unknown assailant who then remained in the family's house for several hours before disappearing. Japanese police launched a massive investigation that uncovered the killer's DNA and many specific clues about their identity, but the perpetrator has never been identified. The media frenzy and long investigation of the murders became a cause célèbre to abolish the statute of limitations for crimes that could merit the death penalty in Japan, which was removed in 2010.
