Woodland is a city in Clark and Cowlitz counties in Washington, United States. Most residents live within Cowlitz County, in which the majority of the city lies. It is part of the 'Longview, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area'. The population was 6,531 at the 2020 census.

Woodland High School is a public high school located in unincorporated Cowlitz County, Washington, with a Woodland postal address. It has approximately 700 students. It is a part of Woodland Public Schools. In addition to Woodland its service area includes Cougar.

The Judge Columbia Lancaster House is a large house on the National Register of Historic Places in Ridgefield, Washington in the Southern Colonial style. Constructed from 1850 to 1855, it is named for Columbia Lancaster and is one of the oldest frame houses in Washington State.

Caples is an unincorporated community in Cowlitz County, Washington. The Caples community is located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) west of Woodland along Caples Road, on the east shore of Columbia River and across the river from Columbia City, Oregon. The Caples community is part of the Woodland School District, a K-12 school district of about 2,200 students.

The Lewis River is a tributary of the Columbia River, about 95 miles (153 km) long, in southwestern Washington in the United States. It drains part of the Cascade Range north of the Columbia River. The drainage basin of the Lewis River covers about 1,046 square miles (2,709 km2). The river's mean annual discharge is about 6,125 cubic feet per second (173.4 m3/s). Unlike nearby Lewis County and Fort Lewis the Lewis River was not named for Meriwether Lewis, but rather for A. Lee Lewis, an early colonizer who homesteaded near the mouth of the river.

The Multnomah Channel is a 21.5-mile (34.6 km) distributary of the Willamette River. It diverges from the main stem a few miles upstream of the main stem's confluence with the Columbia River in Multnomah County in the U.S. state of Oregon. The channel flows northwest then north around Sauvie Island to meet the Columbia River near the city of St. Helens, in Columbia County. Chinook people, the Multnomahs, lived in villages along the channel at the time of European exploration of the Columbia River in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Flanked in the 21st century by moorages, marinas, and parks, and populated by a wide variety of fish, the channel offers many opportunities for recreation.

The Cox–Williams House is a historic house, located in St. Helens, Oregon, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1982. It is also listed as a contributing resource in the National Register-listed St. Helens Downtown Historic District.

Paradise Point State Park is a public recreation area on the East Fork Lewis River in Clark County, Washington. The state park is crossed by Interstate 5, which pierces the point in the river the park is named for. The park's 101 acres (41 ha) include 6,180 feet (1,880 m) of shoreline, swimming beach, campground, and hiking trails.

Warrior Rock Light is a lighthouse on Sauvie Island in the U.S. state of Oregon, which helps guide river traffic on the Columbia River around the Portland, Oregon area. It once contained the Pacific Northwest's oldest fog bell. It is Oregon's smallest lighthouse, and the only lighthouse, or one of only two lighthouses, still operating in Oregon which are not on the Pacific Ocean, depending on whether the Umpqua River Lighthouse is considered to be on the coast or on the Umpqua River.

Nob Hill Nature Park is a 6-acre oak woodland located in St. Helens, Oregon, 30 miles (48 km) north of Portland, Oregon. Situated on a basalt bluff, it overlooks the Columbia River, at the point where Multnomah Channel joins the Columbia. Notable flora include white oak trees (Quercus garryana), as well as native wildflowers such as camas, trillium, iris, and larkspur. A variety of invasive species are also present, including blackberry, English ivy, Lunaria (or money plant), vinca, mullein, thistle, and tansy. It is maintained by a community group (The Friends of Nob Hill Nature Park) which holds volunteer work parties twice yearly, in April and November. The proposed goal of maintenance activities is to return the park to a more natural and historically representative state, i.e. by removing invasive plants and planting native ones. These efforts are co-sponsored by a community partner group, Scappoose Bay Watershed Council. It is thought that this area was travelled through by the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Parking is located near the park's main trailhead at 451 Plymouth St, St. Helens, OR 97051. Photos from the park are available on the city's website. The park is open from dawn to dusk. Dogs must be leashed.

The ilani Casino Resort ( ay-LAN-ay) is a casino operated by the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and located near La Center, Washington. The casino opened on April 24, 2017, after a lengthy legal battle over the tribe's right to establish a reservation on which to build the casino.
