Sportsplassen

Sportsplassen is a tram stop on the Ekeberg Line of the Oslo Tramway. It is located near Sportsplassen in Ekeberg, in the borough of Nordstrand, in Oslo, Norway. The station opened on 11 June 1917 as part of the Ekeberg Line to Sæter. The station is served by lines 13 and 19, using both SL79 and SL95 trams.

The old Ekebergparken station was a tram stop on the Simensbråten Line of the Oslo Tramway. The station opened on 30 September 1931 when the Simensbråten Line was opened as a branch from the Ekeberg Line. The station was closed with the line on to 29 October 1967, following the political decision seven years earlier to gradually close the tramways. Ekebergparken was the first line on the line, located after Jomfrubråten on the Ekeberg Line, and before Smedstua. The line was served by shuttle trams to Jomfrubråten, except during rush hour when there were direct services to the city center.

The Bekkelaget Tunnel (Norwegian: Bekkelagstunnelen) is a 578-meter (1,896 ft) long railway tunnel which carries two tracks of the Østfold Line past Bekkelaget in Oslo, Norway. Construction started 14 April 1955, after a landslide on 3 October 1953 had caused damage to the railway. The tunnel was built to allow for space for the road of Mosseveien. The tunnel opened on 7 October 1958. Bekkelaget Station was located on the section of track which was closed, and a new station was built at the southern mouth. It closed on 29 May 1983.

Ekeberghallen, also known as Ekeberg idrettshall, is an indoor sports arena located at Ekebergsletta in the neighborhood of Ekeberg in the Nordstrand district of Oslo, Norway. Ekebergsletta is part of the Oslo park system and is used primarily for sporting events.

Jomfrubråten is a light rail tram stop on the Ekeberg Line of the Oslo Tramway. It is located near Jomfrubråten in Ekeberg, in the borough of Nordstrand, in Oslo, Norway. The station opened on 11 June 1917 as part of the Ekeberg Line to Sæter. The station is served by lines 13 and 19, using both SL79 and SL95 trams. From 30 September 1931 to 29 October 1967, the Simensbråten Line split from the Ekeberg Line after Jomfrubråten. The next station along the Simensbråten Line was the old Ekebergparken.

Bekkelaget is a neighborhood in the borough Nordstrand in Oslo, Norway. Originally, Bekkelaget was the maritime area south of Oslo city, in Aker municipality adjacent to the Bunnefjorden. With the opening of the Østfold Line, Bekkelaget station was opened, and the elevated area between Ekeberg and Nordstrand was built up and more densely populated. This area was called Bekkelagshøgda, while the maritime area became known as Nedre Bekkelaget. This area is separated by Ormsund with Ormøya. Until 2004 Bekkelaget and adjacent Ekeberg constituted its own borough, Ekeberg-Bekkelaget. Bekkelaget is known nationwide for the sports club Bækkelagets SK. The local rowing club is Ormsund RK.

KFUM Arena is a football stadium located at Ekeberg in Oslo, Norway, and is the home of Norwegian 1. divisjon club KFUM Oslo. The stadium has a current capacity of approximately 1,500 spectators. KFUM is a translation of the English language YMCA.

Bekkelaget Station (Norwegian: Bekkelaget stasjon) was a railway station on the Østfold Line. It was located at Nedre Bekkelaget in the Nordstrand borough of Oslo, Norway. It was originally situated 3.34 kilometers (2.08 mi) from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) and received a station building designed by Peter Andreas Blix. It was named Bækkelaget until 1921. Bekkelaget was used as a commuter station. With the arrival of the railway, the lower portions of Bekkelaget could be built out with housing. After the Bekkelaget Slide on 7 October 1953 resulted in the Bekkelaget Tunnel being built past the station. It opened on 7 September 1958. At the same time the station was moved 460 meters (1,510 ft) southwards, so the southern mouth of the tunnel. The station was closed on 29 May 1983.

Smedstua is located between the old Ekebergparken and Simensbråten. The line was served by shuttle trams to Jomfrubråten, except during rush hour when there were direct services to the city center.

Ekebergsletta is a field in the neighborhood of Ekeberg in the Nordstrand district, southeast of downtown Oslo, Norway.Ekebergsletta is a large grass covered area located on Ekeberg plateau. Originally the area was farmland where crops were cultivated until the 1950s. Shortly after the end of World War II, the idea of an airport for Oslo was entertained for this area. Roald Amundsen had landed his Airship Norge here for a few hours in 1926 on his way to towards the North Pole. The foundation of the mooring mast used by the airship can still be found. The idea of an airport was ultimately rejected in favor of an area for sports and related activities. Today Ekebergsletta is part of Oslo's biggest park system and is used primarily for sporting events. Ekebergsletta is commonly associated with the Norway Cup which started here in 1972 and which is still one of several places around Oslo where the game is held.

Holtet is a light rail/tram stop on the Ekeberg line of the Oslo Tramway. It is located at Holtet in Ekeberg, in the borough of Nordstrand, in Oslo, Norway. It was opened on 11 June 1917 by A/S Ekebergbanen and has a balloon loop. The station is served by lines 13 and 19. Holtet also has a tram depot nearby.

Jomfrubråten is a residential area of Nordstrand in Oslo, Norway. It is located approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) away from the city centre. The area was disintegrated from Ekeberg in 1920, and made a residential area when the Ekeberg Line opened in 1917. A station with the same name serves the area on the Ekeberg Line, and formerly on the Simensbråten Line, but the latter line was closed in 1967.
