Smedstua was a light rail tram stop on the Simensbråten Line of the Oslo Tramway. It was located at Smedstua in Ekeberg, in the borough of Nordstrand, in Oslo, Norway. The station opened on 30 September 1931 when the Simensbråten Line was opened as a branch from the Ekeberg Line. The station was closed with the line on to 29 October 1967, following the political decision seven years earlier to gradually close the tramways. Smedstua is located between the old Ekebergparken and Simensbråten. The line was served by shuttle trams to Jomfrubråten, except during rush hour when there were direct services to the city center.

KFUM Arena is a football stadium located at Ekeberg in Oslo, Norway, and is the home of Norwegian 1. divisjon club KFUM Oslo. The stadium has a current capacity of approximately 1,500 spectators. KFUM is a translation of the English language YMCA.

The Norway Cup is an international youth football tournament in Oslo, Norway. It has been held annually since 1972, with the exception of 1976 (due to a conflicting arrangement), 2020 and 2021 (due to the COVID-19 Pandemic). It is the world's largest football tournament and sees a typical 1400 to 1700 participating teams per year - in 2016 Norway Cup hit an all-time record with 2199 teams, of which 450 teams played the new 3v3 tournament for 6-10 year olds. The Norway Cup consists of tournaments for ages 10 through 19 for both genders, with over 53,049 teams having participated during its history. The tournament takes place at Ekebergsletta. The tournament is organized by Bækkelagets Sportsklub with Tony Isaksen as its general secretary. Participants come from 50 to 60 countries. Amazon Grimstad won the first Norway Cup tournament for women, winning 2–1 over Vestar, after a penalty shoot-out.

The area is currently served by Ryen Station on the Oslo Metro.

It is currently used mostly for track and field meets and football matches, both under the auspices of Bækkelagets SK. Bekkelaget Church is a long church (Norwegian: langkirke) located in Bekkelaget in Nordstrand, a district of Oslo, Norway. The church is built of stone and can accommodate 370 or 420 people. The parish of Bekkelaget was split from the parish of Nordstrand in 1913, and plans for construction of a church began immediately. The municipal architect Harald Bødtker designed the church, and it was consecrated on May 27, 1923. The church has an entrance on the north and choir and apse on the south; its tower stands next to the north gable. Enevold Thømt was responsible for all of the interior decorations and furnishings, giving the church a holistic character. The 21-voice organ was created by the Robert Gustavsson organ company in 1986. The church has two church bells from the Olsen Nauen Bell Foundry. In 1937, an urn cemetery was created around the church, and a rectory was built in the corner of this in 1970.

From 30 September 1931 to 29 October 1967, the Simensbråten Line split from the Ekeberg Line after Jomfrubråten. The next station along the Simensbråten Line was the old Ekebergparken.

Holtet is a light rail/tram stop on the Ekeberg line of the Oslo Tramway. It is located at Holtet in Ekeberg, in the borough of Nordstrand, in Oslo, Norway. It was opened on 11 June 1917 by A/S Ekebergbanen and has a balloon loop. The station is served by lines 13 and 19. Holtet also has a tram depot nearby.

The Bekkelaget Tunnel (Norwegian: Bekkelagstunnelen) is a 578-meter (1,896 ft) long railway tunnel which carries two tracks of the Østfold Line past Bekkelaget in Oslo, Norway. Construction started 14 April 1955, after a landslide on 3 October 1953 had caused damage to the railway. The tunnel was built to allow for space for the road of Mosseveien. The tunnel opened on 7 October 1958. Bekkelaget Station was located on the section of track which was closed, and a new station was built at the southern mouth. It closed on 29 May 1983.
