Honea Path is a town primarily in Anderson County, South Carolina and extending into Abbeville County in the northwest part of the state. The population was 3,686 at the 2020 census.

The Chiquola Mill Massacre, also known locally as Bloody Thursday, was the violent dispersal of a picket line of striking workers outside the Chiquola textile mill in Honea Path, South Carolina. The strike was part of the textile workers' strike of 1934, which mobilized workers up and down the East Coast of the United States in response to the worsening labor conditions during the Great Depression. Violence broke out when Dan Beacham, the mayor and magistrate in Honea Path as well as the superintendent of the mill, ordered an armed posse of strikebreakers to fire into the crowd. As the crowd fled, six strikers were shot in the back and killed, one mortally wounded, and thirty others suffered less than mortal wounds. Beacham obstructed court proceedings against himself and the other strikebreakers, and ordered some of the strikers arrested. Dozens of unionized workers were fired or evicted from their company homes, and after the defeat of the larger strike on September 23, the unionization effort in Honea Path largely came to an end. Until the 1994 publication of "The Uprising of '34" and the subsequent journalistic work of Dan Beacham's grandson, Frank Beacham, the events of the massacre were largely undiscussed in Honea Path. Today, the event is memorialized by a stone marker in nearby Dogwood Park.

Belton-Honea Path High School (BHP) is a comprehensive, co-educational, public secondary school located in Honea Path, South Carolina, United States. It is the only public high school serving Honea Path and Belton. The school is accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

The Battle of Anderson was a minor skirmish during the American Civil War, fought in Anderson County, South Carolina, on May 1, 1865. The battle was one of the final conflicts of the war, taking place three weeks after Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House. The exact location of the battle is unknown, but it definitely took place in Anderson county. Some historians believe the battle took place near the now I-85 and the Shiloh Methodist Church in the Piedmont area. The battle is re-enacted every April. As of 2020, it has been re-enacted 17 times.

Craytonville (also Crayton) is an unincorporated community in Anderson County, South Carolina.James Lawrence Orr (1822-1863), politician, diplomat, judge, and lawyer, was born in Craytonville.

The station airs a Christian format with Southern gospel music as an affiliate of The Life FM.

The Donalds Grange No. 497, in Donalds, South Carolina, also known as Patrons of Husbandry or Grange Hall, was built in 1935. It has served as a library, as a city hall, and as a meeting hall. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Belton Standpipe, in Belton, South Carolina, historically known as the Belton Waterworks Tower, is a 155-foot high concrete water tower located near the downtown area. Construction on the tower began in 1908 and was completed in 1909. It is the tallest of three standpipe water towers in the state.The tower was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on November 5, 1987. A complete renovation of the structure began in 1989, and was completed in 1991.It is an early example of water storage facilities using reinforced concrete construction, a material that would eventually become popular in the United States. The tank, located at the top of the tower, holds 165,000 gallons of water that flows through a 10-inch pipe located in the center of the tower.

The Chamberlain-Kay House is located in Belton, a city in Anderson County, South Carolina. The house was built around 1854 as a residence for Charles C. Chamberlain. Chamberlain was the first supervisor of the rail line from Belton to Greenville. The home is believed to be one of the oldest residences in Belton. Many changes have been made to the home over the years, creating a rather amalgamated if not historically diluted building. The home was listed in the National Historic Register on November 25, 1980.

The Belton Depot, located in Belton, Anderson County, South Carolina was constructed by the Southern Railway company around 1910 and was listed in the National Historic Register on August 13, 1979. Historically known as the Southern Railway Combined Depot, it replaced several small buildings used by the company.Due to its location near the town square of Belton, South Carolina, it was an important focal point of the area. After the loss of passenger service in the 1960s and a slowdown in freight shipping, the depot was abandoned by the rail company and acquired by the city. Restoration efforts were completed in 1983 and a portion of the depot was used as a branch of the Anderson County Library.The Belton Area Museum Association was granted ownership of the depot in 2001 and after the library moved to a new building in 2004, a three-year-long process of fundraising, rehabilitation and renovation of the building was undertaken. After the completion in 2006, the depot became the new home to the Ruth Drake Museum and the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame Museum.
