Haselhorst

Haselhorst is a station on the Berlin U-Bahn line U7. It was opened on 1 October 1984 with the line's extension from Rohrdamm to Rathaus Spandau. Its name means "hazel eyrie" in English; it was named for the locality where it lies: Haselhorst in the borough of Spandau. It lies between the stations Zitadelle and Paulsternstraße. It was built by R.G.Rümmler, mentionable are interesting light effects on the ceiling. The next station is Paulsternstraße.

Paulsternstraße is a station on the Berlin U-Bahn line U7. It was opened on 1 October 1984 (constructed by Rümmler), with the line's extension from Rohrdamm to Rathaus Spandau. Its name means "Paul Stern Street" in English, Paul Stern having been the name of a pub owner after whom a Spandau neighbourhood was named. The station's interiors are notable for the large and colorful mosaics which decorate almost all walls. All signs spell "Paulsternstrasse". It lies between the stations Haselhorst and Rohrdamm. The Paulsternstraße is also a street in Berlin, Spandau. The walls are covered with pictures of flowers, grass and sunpatterns. The ceiling is also covered with stars. The next station is Rohrdamm.

Ruhleben internment camp was a civilian detention camp in Germany during World War I. It was located in Ruhleben, a former Vorwerk manor 10 km (6.2 mi) to the west of Berlin, now split between the districts of Spandau and Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. The camp was originally a harness racing track laid out north of the Berlin-Hamburg Railway line in 1908.

Ruhleben is a Berlin U-Bahn station, the western terminus of line U2. Named after the adjacent Ruhleben neighbourhood, it is located in the Westend district close to the border with Spandau. The station, with an elevated platform and subjacent entrance hall, was designed by Alfred Grenander, and inaugurated with the westernmost section of the present U2 on 22 December 1929. The tracks end immediately behind the platform without any reversing facility. Plans to extend the U2 toward Spandau were cancelled during the Great Depression and never carried out; they became obsolete after the construction of the U7 to Rathaus Spandau in 1984 and the re-opening of the Spandau Suburban Line of the Berlin S-Bahn in 1998. In 2010/2011 the station was extensively renovated.

The Haus des Deutschen Sports (German: House of German sports), part of the larger Deutsches Sportforum, is a sporting venue constructed for the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany. Located in Olympiapark Berlin to the northeast of the Olympic Stadium, it hosted the fencing events and the fencing part of the modern pentathlon event.

Zitadelle is a station on the Berlin U-Bahn line U7. It was opened on 1 October 1984 with the line's extension from Rohrdamm to Rathaus Spandau. Its name means "Citadel" in English and it was named for the historic Spandau Citadel. Unlike most U-Bahn stations, Zitadelle has side platforms. The station's interiors were also designed to resemble the citadel's style. It lies between the stations Altstadt Spandau and Haselhorst. It was built/opened by R.G.Rümmler in 1984 (planned was the name "Am Juliusturm"). This station has side platforms because during its construction the important street above could not be blocked. So first the northern platform was built then the southern. The next station is Haselhorst.

Siemensstadt (German: [ˈziːmənsˌʃtat] (listen)) is a locality (Ortsteil) of Berlin in the district (Bezirk) of Spandau.

Rohrdamm is a station on the Berlin U-Bahn line U7 in the Siemensstadt district. Designed by architect Rümmler, the station was opened on 1 October 1980, as part of the line's extension from Richard-Wagner-Platz to Rohrdamm. Until the second extension of the line from Rohrdamm to Rathaus Spandau in 1984, it was the western terminus of the U7. The name literally means "pipe dam"; as the eponymous street was laid out along a water pipe which gets its water from the Tegeler See and fills the water works in Jungfernheide, from which about 250,000 people get drinking water. The station's machine-like decoration, featuring cog-wheels and pipes, points to this. The adjacent stations are Paulsternstraße and Siemensdamm.

The Opening Ceremony of the 1936 Summer Olympics was the official opening ceremony held on September 1, 1936, at the Reichssportsfeld in Berlin, Germany. It was attended by the Führer of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, as well as several high-profile Nazi figures. German weightlifter Rudolf Ismayr gave the Olympic Oath.

Olympiapark Schwimmstadion Berlin (German: Berlin Olympic Swim Stadium) is an aquatics venue located at Olympiapark Berlin in Berlin, Germany constructed for the 1936 Summer Olympics. Located north of the Olympic Stadium it hosted the diving, swimming, water polo, and the swimming part of the modern pentathlon events. A total of 140,231 attended during all competitions. It hosted the World Aquatics Championships in 1978 as well and was a venue of European Maccabi Games 2015. The stadium's ground level was constructed 13 ft (4.0 m) lower than the top part of the Olympic Stadium. Its swimming pool is 50 m long by 20 m wide, separated into eight lanes. Men's dressing rooms are located under the east stands while women's dressing rooms were located under the west stands. From the swimming pool's north end to the south end, the pool depth increases from 2 m to 2.30 m. The stadium is constructed of natural limestone. It is still in use as a training facility and for recreational use between May and September each year.

Olympiapark Berlin (German for Berlin Olympic Park), previously the Deutsches Sportforum (lit. 'German Sport Forum') and the Reichssportfeld (lit. 'Imperial Sports Field'), is a sports and entertainment complex located in Berlin, Germany. The complex served as the Olympic Park of the 1936 Summer Olympics.

The Tennis Courts are courts located at Olympiapark Berlin in Berlin, Germany. Located southwest of the Olympic Stadium, they hosted the basketball and the Épée fencing event for the 1936 Summer Olympics.
