The A632 is a major road in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, England. It starts in Matlock (53.1347°N 1.5485°W / 53.1347; -1.5485 (A632 road (western end))) and joins the town with Chesterfield. From there, it goes through Bolsover and then onto the A616 at the village of Cuckney (53.2336°N 1.1543°W / 53.2336; -1.1543 (A632 road (eastern end))).

The stream is an offshoot of the Chesterfield Canal.A breach in the Chesterfield canal in March 2007, caused by the collapse of a culvert carrying the Tinkersick under the canal, forced temporary closure of all but the top pound above Tapton Lock for about six weeks.

Tapton House, in Tapton, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, was once the home of engineer George Stephenson, who built the first public railway line in the world to use steam locomotives. In its time Tapton has been a gentleman's residence, a ladies' boarding school and a co-educational school.Tapton House grounds are now open for free use by the general public of Chesterfield to walk around and visit the Tapton Gardens. The grounds are also shared with the Tapton Park Innovation Centre. The House itself is now rented out as offices by Chesterfield Borough Council, and is a Grade II* listed building.

Tapton is a suburb of Chesterfield, in the county of Derbyshire, England. It is located along the Brimington Road B6543, between Chesterfield town centre, and Brimington (where the population is included in the Brimington South Ward). Historically a village, it expanded greatly during the 20th century and now forms part of Chesterfield itself.
