Älgö is a locality situated in Nacka Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. It is also a peninsula next to Saltsjöbaden, in Stockholm Archipelago. Älgö is surrounded by Baggensfjärden, Ingaröfjärden and Erstaviken. Since 2015, the settlement has been constituted as its own urban area. The town already met the resident requirement for an urban area (200) by a very wide margin, but then had too high a proportion of leisure properties.

The 2013 Saltsjöbanan train crash occurred in the early morning hours of 15 January 2013. A passenger train started to move without authorization, with only a cleaner on board. It overran a set of buffer stops and crashed into a block of flats in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden. The cleaner was at first suspected of having "stolen" the train, but was later cleared of blame, as the train was found to have started moving because of violation of safety procedures.

It has 11,333 inhabitants as of 2010. It is most known for its porcelain factory, Gustavsberg porcelain, and toilet bowls distributed nationwide and internationally.

Värmdö Municipality (Värmdö kommun) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is in the town of Gustavsberg, with a population of 9,682 (2005), on the main island at an elevation of 37 metres (121 ft). The municipality is named after the main island Värmdön, 180 km2 (69 sq mi) in size. The municipality in its present form was created in 1974, when "old" Värmdö was amalgamated with Gustavsberg (which had been detached from it in 1902) and Djurö.

The Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden is a hotel in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden. Built on the initiative of Knut Agathon Wallenberg, it was opened in 1893 by King Oscar II of Sweden. The hotel was owned by the Wallenberg family until 1999, when it was purchased by Nordisk Renting who sold it in 2002 to Danish-Egyptian hotel owner Enan Galaly's chain Helnan Hotels. On 20 December 1938, the Saltsjöbaden Agreement was signed at the hotel. It hosted three Bilderberg meetings, in 1962, 1973, and 1984.

Ösbyträsk Nature Reserve (Swedish: Ösbyträsks naturreservat) is a nature reserve in Stockholm County in Sweden. The nature reserve has been created to protect the lake Ösbyträsk and the surrounding area. The nature is varied and the area also has a rich cultural heritage. A 4.5 km (2.8 mi) long track for visitors goes around the lake.

The Ingarö Ladies Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour and LET Access Series played between 1993 and 2014 near Stockholm, Sweden.At the 2013 event Solheim Cup player Charlotta Sörenstam was in contention after opening rounds of 68 and 69, but had to settle for a tie for 7th after a final round of 75.In 2014 an 18-year-old Georgia Hall finished solo third in her professional debut, one stroke behind Caroline Rominger.

Uppenbarelsekyrkan (Church of the Revelation) is a church in Saltsjöbaden in Nacka Municipality, southeast of Stockholm, Sweden. The church was built in 1910–1913 to designs by Swedish architect Ferdinand Boberg. It was financed by Swedish businessman Knut Wallenberg and inaugurated on his 60th birthday, on May 18, 1913. Among the people involved in the decoration of the church are Nathan Söderblom, Johnny Roosval, Carl Milles, Olle Hjortzberg, Filip Månsson, Oscar Brandtberg and Hugo Alfvén.

Abborrträsk Nature Reserve (Swedish: Abborrträsks naturreservat) is a nature reserve in Stockholm County in Sweden. The nature reserve protects the lake Abborrträsk and the surrounding area, which consists mainly of different types of forest.

Abborrträsk is a small lake in Stockholm County, Sweden. It lies within the Abborrträsk Nature Reserve. The lake is surrounded by steep rock walls, but there is access to the water at the southern end. Bathing in the lake is possible although there is no official bathing place. Fishing in the lake with a line or rod is permitted and does not require a permit.
