Mauzy is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is located south of Timberville, just north of Lacey Spring along Route 259, just off Interstate 81.

Court Manor (built as Mooreland Hall) is an early Greek Revival plantation house and estate in Rockingham County, Virginia, located 4 miles (6.4 km) south of the town of New Market. With its stately manor house and prime location in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Court Manor has long been regarded as "one of the finest estates in the Valley of Virginia." The estate is situated on U.S. Route 11, which follows the route of the historic Great Wagon Road, a colonial thoroughfare connecting Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Savannah, Georgia. The estate's landholdings include some 2,000 acres (810 hectares) of land, extending from the base of the Massanutten Mountain Ridge to about one-half mile (0.80 km) west of U.S. Route 11. The manor house (circa 1800), with its impressive Greek Revival portico, can be easily seen from the tree-lined stretch of U.S. Route 11 that passes through the heart of the estate.

The David and Catherine Driver Farm is a historic farmstead in rural Rockingham County, Virginia, near Timberville. The main house, a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, was built c. 1845 and has Greek Revival styling. It was extended in the 1880s, giving it a T-shape and adding Victorian details such as bull's eye window in the front gable. The farm's most notable building is a c. 1839 barn, a rare survivor of the Valley Campaigns of 1864 through the area, in which the Union Army under General Philip Sheridan destroyed most barns.The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Mayland is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is located southeast of Broadway, along Route 259. Mayland used to have its own post office, but now the post office has been moved to Broadway. Broadway is near Harrisonburg, Harrisonburg is in the Shenandoah Valley.

Mount Clinton is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is located northeast of Clover Hill. There are several Mennonite churches in the vicinity, one of which is located along the access road to the west. It is two miles north of Hinton.

Lacey Spring is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is located south of Timberville, just south of Mauzy along Route 11, parallel to Interstate 81.Two historical markers in the area commemorate a cavalry skirmish during the U.S. Civil War. On 21 December 1864, part of the 3rd Cavalry Division under the command of Union Brevet Colonel George Armstrong Custer came under attack from Confederate Major General Thomas L. Rosser’s Laurel Brigade, forcing Custer to withdraw to the north. Rosser captured forty of Custer's men along with horses and camp equipment. Custer and Rosser were friends and members of the class of 1861 at West Point, and may have briefly been roommates. Rosser resigned from West Point in May 1861, two weeks prior to graduation, to join the Confederacy.

The cavern is located in the pet-friendly, Endless Caverns Resort, featuring RV sites, vacation rental cottages and a number of amenities, including an outdoor pool, playground, hiking trails, catch-and-release fishing pond, mining sluice, and more.

Tunker House, also known as the Yount-Zigler House, is a historic home located in Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. The house consists of a two-story, three-bay, brick main block, with a brick and frame rear ell. The brick portion of the rear ell is the oldest section and dates to about 1798. It was later raised to a full two stories in the 1830s. The main block was added between 1802 and 1806. From the early-19th century until 1830 the house was used for worship services by the Pre-split U.S. Schwarzenau Brethren community now represented by German Baptists, Old Brethren, (or Tunker, now Dunkard Brethren). It was the home of impactful Brethren elder and author, Peter Nead (1796-1877). He lived here from the time he married Elizabeth, daughter of the builder Benjamin Yount, in 1825, until 1839.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Timberville is a town in Rockingham County, Virginia, United States. The population was 2,522 at the 2010 census, which was a significant increase from the 1,739 reported in the 2000 census. It is part of the Harrisonburg Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Smith Creek (also known as Smith's Creek) is a 35.5-mile-long (57.1 km) tributary stream of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Its watershed comprises 106 square miles (270 km2) within Shenandoah and Rockingham counties on the western slope of the Massanutten Mountain ridge. Its headwaters lie in Rockingham County just north of Harrisonburg, and its confluence with the North Fork of the Shenandoah River is located just south of Mount Jackson.Smith Creek's major tributaries include: Mountain Run, which runs from the west slope of the Massanutten Mountain Fridley Run, a tributary of Mountain Run Dry Fork, which rises just east of Harrisonburg, joining Smith Creek just before Lacey Spring Lacey Spring Branch, a short branch which runs from the limestone springs at Lacey Spring War Branch, which rises at the base of the Massanutten Mountain southwest of the community of Athlone and continues past the community of Arkton before joining Smith Creek near Moores Mill Road Gap Branch, which rises at the base of the Massanutten near New Market Gap and joins Smith Creak just prior to the North Fork of the Shenandoah River.
