The Melrose Caverns and Harrison Farmstead is a historic property in rural Rockingham County, Virginia. It is located at 6639 North Valley Pike (United States Route 11) north of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The property includes a series of caves that have long been a tourist attraction, including visits by soldiers of both sides during the American Civil War. It also includes a c. 1859 Greek Revival farmhouse, and numerous agricultural outbuildings, one of which is a log-structure summer kitchen that may be as old as 1820.Scheduled commercial tours of the caverns were conducted until the 1980s,; they continue today by reservation.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Mayland is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is located southeast of Broadway, along Route 259. Mayland used to have its own post office, but now the post office has been moved to Broadway. Broadway is near Harrisonburg, Harrisonburg is in the Shenandoah Valley.

Mount Clinton is an unincorporated community located in Rockingham County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is located northeast of Clover Hill. There are several Mennonite churches in the vicinity, one of which is located along the access road to the west. It is two miles north of Hinton.

Bethlehem Church, also known as Bethlehem United Church of Christ, is a historic United Church of Christ church located at Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. It was built in 1844–1845, and is a small, one-story, gable-roofed limestone structure. It measures 42 feet, 6 inches, by 32 feet, 6 inches. The original vaulted ceiling and gable roof were destroyed during the American Civil War. The present gable roof was built in 1914. It was used as the primary church until a new church was constructed in 1952.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Lincoln Homestead and Cemetery, also known as the Jacob Lincoln House, is a historic home and cemetery located near Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. It was built in two sections. The main section was built about 1800, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick structure with a side-gable roof. It features an elaborate wooden cornice with Wall-of-Troy molding, corbels and dentils, and a Federal style doorway. The two-story brick rear ell was built in 1849 and joined to the main house in the early-1900s. Located on the property is the Lincoln family cemetery in which are buried five generations of the family, as well as Queenie, a woman who was enslaved by the Lincoln family, and "Virginia John" Lincoln, great-grandfather of Abraham Lincoln.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.In November 2019, the house was purchased by Benjamin and Sarah Bixler after being vacant for 20 years. The new owners completed a combination of restoration and renovations on the house in 2021.

Baxter House is a historic home located near Edom, Rockingham County, Virginia. The house dates to about 1775, and is a single pile, double-pen dwelling consisting of two abutted two-bay, two-story log structures set on limestone foundation. It was built by Scottish settler George Baxter, whose son George A. Baxter served as president of Washington and Lee University from 1799 to 1829.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Tunker House, also known as the Yount-Zigler House, is a historic home located in Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. The house consists of a two-story, three-bay, brick main block, with a brick and frame rear ell. The brick portion of the rear ell is the oldest section and dates to about 1798. It was later raised to a full two stories in the 1830s. The main block was added between 1802 and 1806. From the early-19th century until 1830 the house was used for worship services by the Pre-split U.S. Schwarzenau Brethren community now represented by German Baptists, Old Brethren, (or Tunker, now Dunkard Brethren). It was the home of impactful Brethren elder and author, Peter Nead (1796-1877). He lived here from the time he married Elizabeth, daughter of the builder Benjamin Yount, in 1825, until 1839.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Linville Creek Bridge is a historic Thacher truss bridge located near Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. It was built by the Wrought Iron Bridge Company in 1898. It is a single span, measuring 135 feet 11 inches (41.43 m) long. This bridge was formerly identified as a hybrid Whipple, incorporating aspects of both the double-intersection Pratt and the double-intersection Warren. The structure in actuality is a Thacher truss, a hybrid configuration incorporating elements of the Pratt, Warren, Fink, and Bollman trusses that was first patented by Edwin Thacher in 1883. Its unusual configuration and the bewildering number of descriptions that have been applied to it merely reinforce its position as a bridge that is a rare survivor of an uncommon form.The bridge was listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register in 1977. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
