Bekasi railway station

Bekasi (Indonesian pronunciation: [ˈbəkasi], Sundanese: ᮘᮨᮊᮞᮤ) is a city in West Java, Indonesia, located on the eastern border of Jakarta. It serves as a commuter city within the Jakarta metropolitan area. According to the 2020 Census by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bekasi had 2,543,676 inhabitants. The official estimate for mid 2021 was 2,564,940. It lies within the largest metropolitan area in Indonesia (Jabodetabek). The city is bordered by Bekasi Regency to the north and the east, Bogor Regency and Depok to the south, and East Jakarta to the west. Bekasi is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia, and has a history of being the capital city of the Kingdom of Tarumanagara. At that time, the name of Bekasi was Dayeuh Sundasembawa or Jayagiri. The earliest evidence of its existence dates from the fifth century according to the Tugu inscription, which describes the name of two rivers that run through the city, i.e. Candrabhaga and Gomati and one of those rivers, i.e. Candrabhaga is the origin of the name Bekasi where the name Candrabhaga evolved into Bhagasasi due to the Sanskrit word candra which means moon evolved into Old Sundanese word 'sasi' which also means moon and then the name Bhagasasi was misspelled as Bhagasi and then Dutch colonial government also misspelled the name Bhagasi as Bacassie and finally it became Bekasi. During the Dutch East Indies period, Bekasi was a part of Batavia residency. As a dormitory city, many middle class satellite areas have been developed in Bekasi, complete with their own shopping malls, schools, hospitals, club houses, water park, and shuttle bus services to central Jakarta. The large number of multinational companies has apparently attracted many expatriates (mainly Japanese and Korean) to settle in Bekasi.

Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium (Indonesian: Stadion Patriot Candrabhaga) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. It is currently used mostly for association football matches. The stadium holds 30,000 people. Patriot Stadium first built as Bekasi Stadium in 1980 with a capacity of only 5,000-10,000 spectators. Since 2011, the stadium is be upgraded into an international stadium. This international standard construction project costs amounted to 450 billion rupiah. Source of funding construction of the stadium itself comes from the Government of Bekasi gradually. This roof stadium grandstand was made of zincalume metal and had a VIP grandstand which can accommodate up to 9,000 spectators and a parking deck which can accommodate thousands of cars and motorcycles. The inauguration ceremony of the stadium expansion was held in conjunction with the 17th anniversary of Bekasi on 10 March 2014. The stadium currently used by Persipasi Bekasi. For the 2017 Liga 1, Bhayangkara F.C. and Persija Jakarta used this stadium for their home matches. The stadium was used for the men's football tournament of the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 AFC U-19 Championship and the 2022 AFF U-19 Youth Championship.

Bekasi Barat LRT Station is a light rail station located in Jalan Jend. Ahmad Yani, Pekayon Jaya, Bekasi Selatan, Bekasi. The station, which is located at an altitude of +38.57 meters, serves the Bekasi line of the Jabodebek LRT system.

Kranji Station (KRI) is a class III railway station located in Kranji, West Bekasi, Bekasi, West Java. The station, which is located at an altitude of +18 m, is included in the Operation Area I Jakarta and is the westernmost railway station in Bekasi City and West Java for the Rajawali–Cikampek railway, as well as the northernmost in West Java. This station only serves the Cikarang Loop Line.

Bekasi Timur Station (BKST, also known as Ampera Station or Bulak Kapal Station) is a class III railway station located in Duren Jaya, East Bekasi, Bekasi, West Java. The station, which is located at an altitude of +19 meters, is included in the Jakarta Operational Area I and only serves the KRL Commuterline route.

State Senior High School 13 Bekasi was established in 2005 and known as USB SMAN 13 Bekasi. It is located in Jalan Pariwisata Raya Perum Bumi Bekasi Baru Utara Rawalumbu.

South Bekasi (Indonesian: Bekasi Selatan) is one of the twelve districts (kecamatan) within the municipality of Bekasi, in Jabodetabek (Jakarta's metropolitan area) on the island of Java, Indonesia. The district covers an area of 1,605.40 hectares (3,967 acres), and had a population of 203,654 at the 2010 Census and 210,805 at the 2020 Census. Administratively it is divided into five administrative villages (kelurahan): Jaka Mulya (Jakamulya) (273 Ha) with 37,410 inhabitants in 2020, Jaka Setia (Jakasetia) (330 Ha) with 42,2700 inhabitants in 2020, Kayuringin Jaya (368 Ha) with 56,519 inhabitants in 2020, Marga Jaya (Margajaya) (209 Ha) with 16,337 inhabitants in 2020, and Pekayon Jaya (425 Ha) with 58,269 inhabitants in 2020. Public schools were started in the district in 1994. As of 2013 all of the villages had health centres except for Jaka Setia.

Cakung Station (CUK) is a class II railway station in Pulogebang, Cakung, East Jakarta. The station, which is located at an altitude of +18 m, is included in the Jakarta Operational Area I and only serves the KRL Commuterline route. The station has a total of six railway tracks. The station straddles the border of Jakarta and West Java. Despite this, the station's entrance still lies within the borders of Jakarta, and therefore is stated as part of Jakarta. Cakung is the easternmost station in East Jakarta.
