Vassalboro (originally Vassalborough) is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 4,520 at the 2020 census. Vassalboro includes the villages of Riverside, Getchell's Corner, North Vassalboro, and East Vassalboro, home to the town library and sports field. Vassalboro is included in the Augusta, Maine, micropolitan New England City and Town Area.

The Dutton-Small House is a historic house on Bog Road in Vassalboro, Maine. Built about 1825, it is one of the rural community's oldest buildings, and one of its only brick houses. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Oak Grove-Coburn School (OGC) was an independent coeducational college preparatory school in Vassalboro, Maine, which operated from 1970 through 1989. OGC was a school for both day students and boarding students, grades 6 through 12. The school was housed on the former Oak Grove School's 500-acre campus.

The Philip Leach House is a historic house on Bog Road in East Vassalboro, Maine. Built about 1805, it is a well-preserved local example of a Federal style Cape house. It is notable for the stencilwork and floor painting in its parlor, which are the work of the itinerant folk art stenciler Moses Eaton Jr. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Oak Grove Chapel, also known historically as the River Meetinghouse and the Sophia D. Bailey Chapel, is a non-denominational chapel at United States Route 201 and Oak Grove Road in Vassalboro, Maine. Built in 1786 as a Quaker meetinghouse, it was Vassalboro's first religious building. In 1895 it was restyled in the Shingle style, with a portico and tower added, and converted to non-denomination use by the Oak Grove-Coburn School (since closed). The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The East Vassalboro Grist and Saw Mill is a historic mill complex in East Vassalboro, Maine. Established in the late 18th century, it is one of the oldest water-powered mills in the state, with a working complement of grist and lumber milling equipment. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Threemile Pond is a lake located in Windsor and China, Maine. Despite the name, the pond is in fact 2.71 miles long. The lake has a boat ramp for aquatic activities . The lake has 4 small islands named Camp Island, Marsh Island, Shallow Island, and Overlook Island. South Vassalboro is located less than half a mile away from the lake. Three of the lake's Islands are private, and one is an undeveloped marsh.

The Riverview House is a historic house on United States Route 201 in southern Vassalboro, Maine. Built in 1796, this modest 1+1⁄2-story Cape house is believed to be one of the oldest surviving buildings in the town. It has additionally been home to several prominent local politicians. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Sidney is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 4,645 at the 2020 census. Sidney was incorporated as a town on January 30, 1792. The town was named for Sir Philip Sidney, an English author. Sidney is included in the Augusta, Maine micropolitan New England City and Town Area. Since 1937, the town has been the home of the New England Music Camp.
