Harfield Village

The Southern Suburbs are a group of Anglophone suburbs in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This group includes, among others, Observatory, Mowbray, Pinelands, Thornton, Rosebank, Rondebosch, Rondebosch East, Newlands, Claremont, Hanover Park,Lansdowne, Kenilworth, Bishopscourt, Constantia, Wynberg, Ottery, Plumstead, Diep River, Bergvliet and Tokai. The area is also commonly referred to as the Cape Peninsula, often including the towns further South such as Fish Hoek.

Livingstone High School is a school in the Western Cape of South Africa. It was founded by Abdullah Abdurahman in 1926. As of August 2017 Theodore Bruinders was the school's principal, currently the Acting Principal is Mr D.R. Niekerk. Ashley van de Horn is currently the deputy principal.The principal who has been serving the school was Mr Najaar before he had retired. In 2021 the current acting principal is Mrs. Ganie

Greenfield Girls' Primary School is a public English medium high school for girls in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Founded in 1956, the school was originally known as Claremont Girls’ Primary School but the name was changed later in the same year. Greenfield Girls' Primary School is located in the suburb of Kenilworth and is a quintile 5 fee paying school within the Western Cape Education Department's school system.

The Saint James Church massacre was a massacre perpetrated on St James Church of England in South Africa in Kenilworth, Cape Town, South Africa, on 25 July 1993 by four members of the Azanian People's Liberation Army (APLA). Eleven members of the congregation were killed and 58 wounded. In 1998 the attackers were granted amnesty for their acts by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Claremont railway station is a Metrorail station on the Southern Line, serving the suburb of Claremont in Cape Town. The station has three tracks, served by a side platform and an island platform; the station building is at ground level on the western side of the tracks. Adjacent to the station is major bus station of the Golden Arrow Bus Services and a large minibus taxi rank.

Choo Choo Park is a public playground in Claremont, Cape Town, in South Africa and is named after the steam train installed in the middle of the park. The 0-4-0 saddle-tank locomotive was built by the Brooks Locomotive Works between 1894 and 1896 with the serial number 2725. It was originally run by the Transvaal & Delgoa Bay Collieries Ltd near Witbank after which it was acquired by the City of Cape Town to work the Dock Road and the Table Bay power stations at the foreshore. During this later period of its working life the train acquired the nickname “Dyna-Mo” or “Dinah-Mo”. The train was moved to its present position in Choo Choo Park some time after the closure of the power stations in 1962.

Arderne Gardens is a public park and arboretum in Claremont, Cape Town, located in the Western Cape of South Africa. It was established by in 1845 by Ralph Henry Arderne, a timber merchant originally from Cheshire, England. In 1979, the park was named a South African Provincial Heritage Site. It is now a popular venue for wedding photographs. The 4.5-hectare park contains over 300 trees, six of which have been designated as Champion Trees by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The Moreton Bay fig near the park entrance is one of the largest trees in the country and is nicknamed the "Wedding Tree" by locals. The ponds in the garden are the source of the Black River which then runs underground beneath Main Road and the railway line before emerging as a canal. The garden is best known for the wide open lawn (sometimes called the "great lawn") surrounding a Norfolk Pine and a Japanese-style koi pond. Unlike nearby Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the focus of the Arderne Gardens is the cultivation of exotic species.
