Padbury Brook is a stream/river in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire; it is a small tributary of the River Great Ouse approximately 12 km in length.

Foxcote Reservoir and Wood is a 48.3-hectare (119-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest between Akeley and Maids Moreton in Buckinghamshire. An area of 34 hectares is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.The reservoir was created in 1956 by damming a small tributary of the River Great Ouse, and is important for wintering wildfowl, especially shoveler ducks and Bewick's swans. The area around the reservoir has woodland, meadows and ponds. Plants include the greater butterfly orchid and the herb Paris quadrifolia.

Thornborough Bridge is located on the original Bletchley and Buckingham road, now bypassed by a modern bridge in 1974 for the A421. The bridge is accessible to walkers from an adjacent lay-by. The bridge straddles the parish boundaries of Thornborough and Buckingham (the parish boundary follows the line of Padbury Brook or The Twins, a tributary of the River Great Ouse), and dates from the end of the 14th century and is the only surviving mediaeval bridge in Buckinghamshire. The parish division is marked by a boundary stone in the middle of the bridge.The stone bridge is around 30 m (98 ft) long and 4 m (13 ft) wide, and spans the river by six low arches, with three refuges formed within the parapet on the south side. The bridge is Grade I listed by English Heritage.

Akeley is a village and civil parish in north-west Buckinghamshire, England. The village is on the A413 road, between Lillingstone Dayrell and Maids Moreton, and around 2.5 miles (4 km) north of Buckingham. The 2011 Census recorded the population of the parish as 514, down from 545 at the 2001 Census.

Coombs Quarry is a 0.5 hectare Local Nature Reserve east of Buckingham. It is owned and managed by Buckinghamshire County Council.This very small site has geological, botanical and archaeological interest. It was disused for almost a century before being opened to the public in 1993. It had lime kilns in the Roman period, and was used for quarrying building stone and rock for lime burning until the end of the nineteenth century. It exposes Jurassic Blisworth Clay, probably laid down in shallow brackish water.There is access by a footpath from the Thornborough Bridge car park on the A421 road.

Buckingham Sand Pit is a 1.8 hectares (4.4 acres) Local Nature Reserve in Buckingham. It is owned and managed by Aylesbury Vale District Council.The site is important geologically as it is a rare exposure of Quaternary Ice Age layers, showing clays, sands and pebble layers from the Anglian Ice Age around 450,000 years ago, when Buckingham was under two kilometres of ice. There is also evidence for the tundra phase which followed.The site is kept locked and there is no public access.
