KXBS (95.5 FM) is a non-commercial, listener-supported radio station licensed to Bethalto, Illinois, and serving Greater St. Louis. It is owned by Gateway Creative Broadcasting and broadcasts a Christian Rhythmic Contemporary radio format known as "Boost 95.5." The radio studios for KXBS and sister station KLJY are in Des Peres. KXBS has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 10,500 watts. The transmitter is on DeBaliviere Avenue in St. Louis, just north of Forest Park.

Forest Park–DeBaliviere station is a St. Louis MetroLink station. It is located at the northeast corner of Forest Park Parkway and DeBaliviere Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri and is designated as the primary transfer point for riders between the Red and Blue lines.

The St. Louis Jane Doe is an unidentified girl who was found murdered in the basement of an abandoned apartment building on February 28, 1983 in St. Louis, Missouri. She has also been nicknamed "Hope", "Precious Hope", and the "Little Jane Doe." The victim was estimated to be between eight and eleven when she was murdered and is believed to have been killed via strangulation. She was raped and decapitated. The brutality of the crime has led to national attention. The head of the Jane Doe has never been located, hindering dental examination and the possibility of a traditional facial reconstruction.

DeBaliviere Place ( duh-BAH-lih-ver) is a neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri.

Kingsbury Place is a private place neighborhood in St. Louis, Missouri that was founded in 1902. The land had been surveyed by Julius Pitzman, surveyor and planner, who had been the Chief Engineer for Forest Park and who was considered "the father of the private place" in the United States. Pitzman built his own house at #6 Kingsbury Place.The beaux-arts entry gates, #3, #7, and #11 were designed by Thomas P. Barnett of Barnett, Haynes & Barnett. Awakening of Spring the naked woman bronze on Union gate is by Clare Pfeifer Garrett. The neighborhood was designated a City Landmark by the City of St. Louis in 1973.In the 1970s, the neighborhood became the subject of a lawsuit when the owner of 4 Kingsbury Place died and her will directed her executor to raze the home, sell the lot, and transfer the proceeds to the residuary of the estate. Her neighbors sued to prevent the demolition, asserting that demolition of the home would be a private nuisance, lower their own property values, and violate the terms of a neighborhood covenant. The neighbors ultimately prevailed on appeal.

The Missouri History Museum in Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri, showcases Missouri history. It is operated by the Missouri Historical Society, which was founded in 1866. Museum admission is free through a public subsidy by the Metropolitan Zoological Park and Museum District.

The Waterman Place-Kingsbury Place-Washington Terrace Historic District in St. Louis, Missouri is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. The listing included 223 contributing buildings, four contributing structures, and a contributing site on 66.7 acres (27.0 ha). It also includes 15 non-contributing buildings and three non-contributing structures.It includes part or all of Washington Terrace (St. Louis), which is just one block long. The district is bounded by Union Boulevard, the alley south of Waterman Place, Belt Ave., the alley south of Kingsbury Place, Clara Ave., and the former alley line between Washington Terrace and Delmar. It includes works by architects Barnett, Haynes & Barnett and architect George W. Hellmuth. Of the contributing buildings, 97 are historic garages or carriage houses.Works involving George W. Hellmuth are: the one contributing site: a terraced garden at 14 Waterman Place (1909) which was created by Hellmuth & Spearing. 14 Waterman Place (1904), a two-story brown brick Colonial Revival house designed by G. The Memorial to the Confederate Dead is a Confederate memorial in Missouri. Around 1899, the Ladies’ Confederate Monument Association began raising funds to erect a monument in St. Louis to soldiers who had fought against the United States. After some $23,000 ($395,043 today) was raised, mostly from the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the monument was installed in Forest Park, the city's largest park. It was dedicated on December 4, 1914.It was rededicated in 1964 on its 50th anniversary.In 2015, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay launched an effort to have the monument removed. He appointed a committee of business and civic interests, which later that year recommended its removal.in June 2017, the monument was removed from Forest Park, one of at least 36 Confederate memorials removed that year from locations around the country.As of 2022, it awaits a new home outside St. Louis City and County limits, per an agreement between the city and Missouri Civil War Museum in Jefferson Barracks.

West End is a neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. This neighborhood is defined by Page Boulevard on the North, Delmar Boulevard on the South, Belt Avenue and Union Boulevard via Maple Avenue on the East, and City limits on the West. The neighborhood is home to the Emmanuel DeHodiamont House, one of the two oldest houses in St. Louis.

Dwight Davis Tennis Center is a public tennis facility in Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri. The center has 18 lighted tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts. The pickleball courts were added in 2017 and are painted on its Stadium Court which has adjacent seating for 1,100 spectators. The tennis courts formerly at this location were called the Jefferson Memorial courts. In 1966, the Jefferson Memorial courts were renovated, expanded and renamed the Dwight Davis Tennis Courts in honor of prominent St. Louis politician and namesake of the Davis Cup, Dwight F. Davis.The site was one of several St. Louis sites featured in the book of archival photographs titled "Forest Park: The Jewel of St. Louis", published by St. Louis Post-Dispatch Books.Dwight Davis Tennis Center is a 501(c) nonprofit. It was first registered with the State of Missouri in 1964 by founders S.E. Freund, Harry G, Burrus, Harry Lueke and Thomas W. White. Apted-Hulling Inc. took over management of the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in April 2004. Dwight Davis Tennis Center hosted the World Team Tennis Tour and was the home court for the St. Louis Aces. Apted-Hulling purchased the St. Louis Aces in 2004 and the team later folded effective January 1, 2012 after Apted-Hulling was unable to find a buyer for the franchise.

Visitation Park is a neighborhood in St. Louis, Missouri. The neighborhood is defined by Maple Avenue on the North, Delmar Boulevard on the South, Union Boulevard on the East, and Belt Avenue on the West. Visitation Park is a small neighborhood nestled southeast of the West End neighborhood, just north of DeBaliviere Place.The Visitation Park neighborhood is named for the Visitation Academy of St. Louis, which was located at the southeast corner of Cabanne Avenue and Belt Avenue from 1892 to 1962. The Visitation Academy was razed in 1962 and the site became Visitation Park. In 1989, the park was renamed Ivory Perry Park.

It includes 160 contributing buildings, including along the 5900-6000 blocks of Enright, Cates, and Clemens. It includes Late Victorian architecture and Late 19th and 20th Century Revivals architecture, and it includes work by architects Barnett, Haynes & Barnett.The district included 160 contributing resources and 13 non-contributing buildings on portions of six city blocks near the western edge of St. Louis. It included 105 single-family residences, 12 apartment buildings or tenements, 11 two- or four-family flats, 31 garages/stables, and one non-residential building, an auto repair shop.
