Coral Academy of Science has many sister locations in Henderson, Nevada. The school is fully accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), formerly NAAS (Northwest Association of Accredited Schools) and now a division of AdvancED.

The Vachina Apartments-California Apartments, at 45 California Ave. in Reno, Nevada, is a historic Classical Revival work of architect Frederick J. DeLongchamps. It was built in 1922. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Reno National Bank-First Interstate Bank, at 204 N. Virginia St. in Reno, Nevada, is a Classical Revival building that was built in 1915. It was designed by architect Frederick J. DeLongchamps. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It was listed as part of a Thematic Resources study of the architecture of DeLongchamps.The former bank has been transformed to hold restaurant space in the Harrah's Reno casino resort.

The Nevada-California-Oregon Railway Locomotive House and Machine Shop was built by the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway in 1889 in Reno, Nevada. The railroad was organized in Reno in June 1880 as the Nevada and Oregon Railroad. It was decided that the best plan was to build north to the Columbia River to serve cattle ranches and farms in northeastern California and eastern Oregon. The company decided to lay narrow-gauge track because it was cheaper than standard gauge construction. It became one of the longest narrow-gauge railroads in the United States.The building consists of the original locomotive house/machine shop and an addition. The locomotive house was built in 1889, and the addition was built in the 1940s. The building is one story, rectangular in shape and is built of brick. The locomotive house was used to store the narrow-gauge steam locomotives. When the railroad built a new roundhouse in the mid-1910s, the locomotive house was converted into a machine shop.In 1917, the railroad was sold to the Western Pacific Railroad (WP). Because the WP could not use the narrow-gauge terminal facilities such as the roundhouse and machine shop, it either sold them or leased them. The machine shop was leased to the Crane Plumbing Company for use as a warehouse and plumbing supply. The WP built the addition to the existing machine shop in the 1940s. In 1963, the Crane Company left and the WP leased the building to other tenants. In 1973, the WP sold the building. It has remained in private hands ever since.The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places due to its association with the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway and the railroad development in Nevada.

The Nevada-California-Oregon Railroad Depot was built by the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway (NCO) in 1910 in Reno, Nevada. It is Nevada Historical Marker number 210. It is also listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The building today is used for a restaurant and microbrewery called The Depot Craft Brewery Distillery

The Washoe County Courthouse, at 117 S. Virginia St. in Reno, Nevada, was built in 1910. It is significant for playing a role in the divorce industry in Nevada during the first half of the 20th century, when divorce was legal in Nevada and liberal residency requirements were enacted, while divorce was much more difficult elsewhere. In 1931, more than 4,800 divorces were processed in northern Nevada, most processed through this courthouse; it was economically important, with $5,000,000 being spent per year in Reno by divorcing parties.The building is a replacement of a previous courthouse on the site, and was built for $250,000 during 1910–11. It is a Classical Revival work that was the first "solo" commission of Nevada architect Frederic J. DeLongchamps. The building is significant also for its long role in government in Reno. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1986.

The Pincolini Hotel, at 214 Lake St. in Reno, Nevada was a historic hotel that was built in 1922 and expanded in 1925 and 1930. Also known as the Mizpah Hotel, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The building was destroyed by a fire on October 31, 2006. Twelve persons perished in the fire, per a historic marker at the site.

The National Automobile Museum is a museum in Reno, Nevada. Most of the vehicles displayed are from the collection of William F. Harrah. The museum opened on November 5, 1989.

Reno station is an Amtrak intercity train station in Reno, Nevada, served by the California Zephyr train. It is also served by Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach routes to Sacramento.

The Southside Studio, formerly known as Southside School and Southside School Annex, at 190 E. Liberty in Reno, Nevada, was built in 1936 as an additional building to a 1903-built original building. Only the 1936 annex building survives. It was built with Works Progress Administration funding. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.According to its NRHP nomination, it was deemed notable "for its association with events that have made a significant contribution to the broad patterns of our history" and also for "its embodiment of a regional interpretation of the Art Deco style in Nevada.": 9 The building was leased to the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019 and officially opened in August of 2021 as an expansion to the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center containing a robotics education center for K-12 students, a wood shop, and office space.
