Apenheul Primate Park is a zoo in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. It specializes in apes and monkeys. It opened in 1971 and was the first zoo in the world where monkeys could walk around freely in the forest and between the visitors. It started with just a few species, now it displays more than 30 different primates, among them bonobo, gorilla and orangutan.

Berg en Bos is a residential area on a former farm in the Dutch city of Apeldoorn. In this part are Park Berg en Bos with Apenheul and Sportpark Berg en Bos.

Het Oude Loo (Dutch pronunciation: [ɦɛt ˈʌudə loː]; The Old Woods) is a 15th-century castle on the estate of Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. The castle was built as a hunting lodge and is surrounded by a moat. The castle is currently used by the Dutch royal family as a country house and guest residence. It is not open to the public.

The building has the appearance of a hunting lodge and the restaurant specializes in seasonal game dishes, such as venison, boar and fowl. Theus de Kok has led the kitchen since 1974, first as head chef, later as executive chef-maitre. In June 2010, Leendert Scholtus took over the kitchen from Chiel Dohmen. In February 2014, Scholtus announced that he would leave De Echoput to start his own restaurant. His successor will be Peter Paul van den Breemen, former owner and head chef of Het Jachthuis Hoog Soeren, who starts at 1 April.The original restaurant was closed and demolished in 2004. Peter Klosse, son of the founder and owner of the complex since 1985, replaced it with a hotel and restaurant. Het Jachthuis Hoog Soeren is a defunct restaurant in Hoog Soeren, Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. It was awarded one Michelin star in 1994 and retained that rating until 2001. The restaurant closed in February 2014, when the lease expired. Owner and head chef cited the high rent, the economic crisis and the lack of Michelin star as reasons to quit, as he deemed exploitation not viable under these circumstances.GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 16.0 out of 20 points.Head chef of Het Jachthuis Hoog Soeren was Peter-Paul van den Breemen, who took over the restaurant in 2005. Head chef in the Michelin period was Jankees Roggeveen.

Wenum-Wiesel is a twin village in the municipality of Apeldoorn, in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. In 1978, the hamlets of Wenum and Wiesel merged into a village.

The Theological University of Apeldoorn (TUA) is the Dutch theological university of the Christian Reformed Churches (Christelijke Gereformeerde Kerken). More than 130 students study at the university in Apeldoorn. The theological course lasts six years. The student is in the bachelor's program for the first three years. This has a more orientating character, and includes the languages Classic Greek and Koine Greek, Latin and Biblical Hebrew. In the three-year master's program that follows, further studies and specialization are discussed. The training is specifically aimed at educating pastors (for the Christian Reformed Churches). Furthermore, one tries to keep together the reformed character of the faith and the church and the scientific level of the university. The syllabus consists of subjects such as ethics, apologetics, Old and New Testament, canonical studies, dogmatics, church history, church law and civil subjects.Although the university is mainly a preacher training for the Christian Reformed Churches, a minority of them become preachers or preachers within this church federation. In addition to students from the Netherlands, there are also students from outside the Netherlands, especially from Korea, Indonesia and other countries in Asia. Students come from various confessional backgrounds and from various countries. National student evaluations have ranked TUA for several years as one the best Dutch universities.There is also contact and cooperation with the Theological University of the Reformed Churches in Utrecht. By integrating their research programs, the theological universities of Apeldoorn and Utrecht are able to present a combined tradition of more than two centuries of classical theology. Their research program aims to combine two fields of research that are often kept quite separate: Biblical Exegesis and Systematic Theology (BEST).
