Foam or Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam is a photography museum located at the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The museum has four different exhibitions at any given time in which different photographic genres are shown, such as documentary, art and fashion. Next to large exhibitions by well-known photographers, Foam also shows the work of young and upcoming photographers, in shorter running exhibitions. Two notable shows were Henri Cartier-Bresson - A Retrospective, work by Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Richard Avedon - Photographs 1946–2004, a major retrospective of Richard Avedon. In summer 2016, Foam presented a major Helmut Newton retrospective exhibition. The museum contains a café, a library, a bookshop, and a commercial gallery called Foam Editions. The museum also publishes a quarterly international photography magazine called Foam Magazine.

Museum Van Loon is a museum located in a canalside house alongside the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The museum is named after the family Van Loon that lived in the house from the 19th century.

De Bazel is a listed/protected historic building on the west side of the Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam (at number 32), and stretches from the Herengracht to the Keizersgracht. It stands as an example of Brick Expressionism.

Atria, institute on gender equality and women's history is a public library and research institute in Amsterdam dedicated to research and policy advice on gender equality and to the documentation and archival of women's history. Its previous names were International Information Centre and Archive for the Women's Movement (IIAV) (1988-2009) and Aletta, Institute for Women's History (2009-2013).

The Nieuwe Achtergracht is a canal in Amsterdam in the east of the Grachtengordel (canal belt) in the Amsterdam-Centrum district. It runs parallel to the Nieuwe Prinsengracht and connects the Onbekendegracht with the Plantage Muidergracht. The canal is crossed by Weesperstraat (at the Weesperplein) and Roetersstraat.

Reguliersgracht is a canal in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Established in 1658, it is located in the Grachtengordel, in the Centrum borough. During World War II the "nerve center" of the illegal paper Het Parool was housed there, in a house (number 111) occupied by Simon Carmiggelt, Max Nord, Wim van Norden and their families.

Vijzelstraat 31 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, is a historical establishment, probably dating from the 17th century. It has a gable roof from the first half of the 18th century. The building is currently used as a shop, together with the adjacent buildings (numbers 27 to 35) by Aurora, a supplier of electrical and electronic products. The building has the status of "Rijksmonument" (national monument).

Museum Geelvinck Hinlopen Huis was situated from its opening 1991 till the end of 2015 in a canal-side mansion, the Geelvinck Hinlopen Huis in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This patrician mansion, close to the Rembrandtplein, was built for Albert Geelvinck (1647-1693) and Sara Hinlopen (1660-1749), then in an attractive and new laid-out section of the city towards the Amstel. In the year 1687 the couple moved into this double wide house, with storage rooms in the cellar, under the attic and in the warehouse on Keizersgracht 633, now the entrance. The canal mansion 'Geelvinck Hinlopen Huis' is now closed for the public, because the museum (including the rosarium) has moved to new premises. In Spring 2017 the museum opened its new premises in the historic mansion 'De Wildeman' in Zutphen, but had to close down already by the end of 2019. Today, Museum Geelvinck is located at the country estate 'Kolthoorn House' in Heerde and also has a modest venue at the 'Posthoornkerk' in Amsterdam.

The KattenKabinet ("Cat Cabinet") is an art museum in Amsterdam devoted to works depicting cats. The museum collection includes paintings, drawings, sculptures and other works of art by Pablo Picasso, Rembrandt, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Corneille, Sal Meijer, Théophile Steinlen, and Jože Ciuha, among others. The museum is housed in a canalside building at Herengracht 497, in the grand Gouden Bocht ("Golden Bend") of this canal. The owner lives on the second floor of the building with his family. There are some cats in the museum as well.

Restaurant Spectrum (formerly Librije's Zusje) is a restaurant located in the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that is awarded two Michelin star since 2015.Head chef of Spectrum is Sidney Schutte. Schutte, a former chef of "De Librije" and Librije's Zusje in Zwolle, returned to the Netherlands from Hong Kong, where he worked in The Landmark Mandarin Oriental.On 1 May 2014, this second sister of De Librije opened for business. On 14 September 2014 it was announced that the first sister, Librije's Zusje in Zwolle, would close on 31 December 2014 and that De Librije would take over the location. Contrary to the first "Librije's Zusje", this restaurant is not owned by Jonnie Boer but a kind of franchise.In October 2018 it was announced that "Librije's Zusje" would become independent and would change its name per 1 January 2019. After a refurbishment, the restaurant reopened as restaurant "Spectrum" on 6 February 2019.

The Munttoren ("Mint Tower") or Munt is a tower in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It stands on the busy Muntplein square, where the Amstel river and the Singel canal meet, near the flower market and the eastern end of the Kalverstraat shopping street.
