Castell de Ferro, located in the province of Granada, is known principally for its tourism, its agriculture and its conservation of traditional constructions. However, the beachfront is full of modern apartments. Castell de Ferro is situated in the central part of Granada's coast. Near this location we can find El Romeral, Calahonda y La Mamola. The Castell de Ferro's coast is characterized for its numerous caves and its beaches.

Lújar is a village in southern Spain in the Sierra Nevada, a couple of kilometres inland from the coast and the city of Motril along a fairly precipitous road. Its coordinates are 36°47′15″N 3°24′5″W (36.7877, -3.4016). Its population is approximately 1,200.

Torrenueva Costa is a newly-created (2018) Spanish Municipality in the province of Granada and in the autonomous community Andalucía. It is located in the central part of the region of the Granada coast, and was formerly part of the municipality of Motril, from which it was constitutionally separated on 2 October 2018. Beside this locality are found the centres of El Varadero, La Chucha and Carchuna. It fills the occidental part of the cape Sacratif. The name of Torrenueva is taken from a century XVII defensive watchtower situated in the locality, in the south edge of the highway N-340 between Málaga and Almería, which runs through the locality. As an eminently touristic location, its beaches are populated by numerous swimmers from many sources-mainly from the rest of the granadine province, Jaén and Ciudad Real- during the summer months. In low season, local population is very low.

Maruja García beach, commonly called Playa Maruja, is located in the Spanish municipalities of Motril and Torrenueva Costa, in the province of Granada, autonomous community of Andalusia. With a width of about 15 meters, it is a dark sand beach that runs along 300 m of coastline between the Port of Motril and Torrenueva Costa. It is located between Playa del Cañón and Playa de La Chincheta. Easily accessible, it has a low occupancy level.It is one of the most recommended beaches to visit on the Costa Tropical.The beach refers to Maruja García, a neighbor of the municipality of Torrenueva Costa, named in her honor on behalf of all the mothers, grandmothers and working women of the municipality.

Sorvilán is a municipality in the province of Granada, Spain. As of 2010, it has a population of 614 inhabitants.

Estadio Municipal Escribano Castilla de Motril is a multi-purpose stadium in Motril, Spain, with a capacity of 4,400 people. It is used mostly for football matches, and is the home ground of CF Motril. On 24 November, 2011, a qualifying match for the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 between Spain and Germany was held in the stadium.

Motril (Spanish pronunciation: [moˈtɾil]) is a town and municipality on the Mediterranean coast in Granada, Spain. It is the second largest town in the province, with a population of 60,368 as of 2016. The town is located near the Guadalfeo River and is 69 km (43 mi) from Granada.

The Poqueira is a river in La Alpujarra region in the province of Granada, in Spain. It is formed by the confluence of streams that rise near the summit of Mulhacén, the highest peak of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The river cuts through a dramatic gorge, then joins the Río Trevélez shortly before flowing into the Río Guadalfeo. Near the confluence there is a hydro-electric station, with the associated abandoned settlement of La Cebadilla, built to house the workers. At Pampaneira, near the bridge by which the main road from Órgiva and Lanjarón crosses the river, there is another hydro-electric installation, and just before the Poqueira river joins the Trevélez, at the narrowest point, there is a third - deep in the gorge and invisible from above. High on the eastern side lie the villages of Capileira, Bubión and Pampaneira which have become noted touristic attractions: they are of Moorish origin, with narrow, winding streets, flat roofs, characteristic chimney-pots... On the hillsides the terraces created by the Moors can still be seen, though now they mostly lie uncultivated, and the channels also built by the Moors still bring water to the villages and terraces. The higher part of the valley lies within the Sierra Nevada National Park, the lower part within a Natural Park; and the valley with its villages has been declared a "Conjunto Historico". The Poqueira valley was the scene of the first major battle in the second "Morisco" rebellion, in January 1569. During the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39, the villages remained under Nationalist control, though Republican guerrilla fighters controlled the heights of the Sierra Nevada, and the frontier during most of the war lay just above the villages.

The Port of Motril–Granada or simply, the port of Motril, is a passenger and cargo port in Motril, Spain. It is one of the Puertos de Interés General del Estado ("ports of General Interest of the State").

The Trevélez River is a river in the province of Granada, Spain. It flows through the town of Trevélez in the western part of the Alpujarras region. The Trevélez river rises in the Sierra Nevada to the north of the town, and flows south and west from Trevélez, through a narrow gorge to the south of Busquístar and the La Tahá villages, eventually converging with the Rio Poqueira shortly before flowing into the Río Guadalfeo.

Órgiva is a Spanish town municipality in comarca of Alpujarra Granadina (which is located within the larger Alpujarras region) in the province of Granada, Andalusia. It has a population of around 6,000 and lies in the Alpujarra valley between the Sierra de Lújar and Sierra Nevada.
