Seghill

Cramlington and Killingworth is a constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it was first contested at the 2024 general election and is currently held by Emma Foody, a Labour and Co-operative MP.

Burradon Tower is a ruinous tower house at Burradon, North Tyneside, England which is both a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building. The Manor of Burradon was acquired by John Orde in 1441 when due to the devastation wrought by the Scots and the poor quality of the soil it was valued at only 20 shillings a year. The tower, originally a three storeyed single square bay, was probably built about 1553 by Bertram Anderson, a nephew of Orde. The property passed in 1569 to the Ogle family by whom it was extended and improved. A fireplace bears the date 1633 and the initials LO, thought to represent Lancelot Ogle who was resident at that time. Following the marriage of Jane Ogle to her cousin James Ogle of Causey Park House the tower was abandoned and by 1769 it was reported to be derelict. In the 19th century the structure was incorporated into a farm building.

The Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital is a hospital specialising in emergency care for sick and injured patients, opened in 2015 in Cramlington, Northumberland, England by the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Seghill railway station served the village of Seghill, Northumberland, England from 1841 to 1965 on the Blyth and Tyne Railway.

Burradon is a village in Tyne and Wear, England, to the north of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is adjacent to Camperdown and the two villages are closely linked. Camperdown was once known as Hazlerigge.

Tynemouth was a rural district in the English county of Northumberland. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Tynemouth rural sanitary district. It initially contained the following parishes: Backworth Bebside Burradon Earsdon East Hartford Hartley Holywell Horton Longbenton Murton Seaton Delaval West Hartford WillingtonIn 1897 the parishes of Backworth, Earsdon, Holywell and Murton became an Earsdon Urban District. A Camperdown parish was created in 1910 from the Weetslade urban district, also taking in part of Longbenton urban district. In 1910 Willington and part of Longbenton were added to the Municipal Borough of Wallsend. The rural district was dissolved in 1912, being split between the Blyth, Longbenton, Whitley and Monkseaton, Seaton Delaval and Cramlington urban districts.

Seaton Valley was an urban district in Northumberland, England, from 1935 to 1974, at which point it was split between the districts of North Tyneside and Blyth Valley.It was created by a County Review Order in 1935 from various urban districts near the North Sea coast, particularly Cramlington, most of Earsdon, Seaton Delaval, and Seghill. Under the Local Government Act 1972 it was abolished on 1 April 1974, with the wards of Backworth, Earsdon and Shiremoor going to the borough of North Tyneside in Tyne and Wear, and the rest going to Blyth Valley in Northumberland. After the abolition of Blyth Valley district in 2008, a Seaton Valley parish was created. The boundaries of this parish are not identical to the old urban district - excluding Cramlington but including the part of the former borough of Whitley Bay to be included in Blyth Valley in 1974 (Hartley and Seaton Sluice).

Camperdown is a village in the metropolitan borough of North Tyneside, Tyne and Wear in North East England. Camperdown is just south of Burradon, and the two villages are closely linked. Both villages had coal mines.

Killingworth Village is a small village in the borough of North Tyneside in the United Kingdom. It lies between Forest Hall to the south and the modern Killingworth, which derives its name from the village, to the north. The West Lane runs through the village from Forest Hall and on to Backworth. For local government, it is located within Killingworth ward.

Seaton Delaval railway station served the village of Seaton Delaval in Northumberland, North East England, from 1841 to 1965 on what became part of the Blyth and Tyne Railway. The construction of a new station has been proposed nearby as part of the Northumberland Line project.

Killingworth, formerly Killingworth Township, is a town in North Tyneside, England. Killingworth was built as a planned town in the 1960s, next to Killingworth Village, which existed for centuries before the Township. Other nearby towns and villages include Forest Hall, West Moor and Backworth. Most of Killingworth's residents commute to Newcastle, or its surrounding area. However, Killingworth developed a sizeable commercial centre, with bus links to the rest of Tyne and Wear. Killingworth is served by Palmersville Metro station. The town of Killingworth in Australia is named after the British original because of its extensive coal mines; it lies west of Newcastle, New South Wales, so-named for the same reason.
