Broughton and Milton Keynes Parish Council is a joint parish council for Milton Keynes and Broughton civil parishes in the City of Milton Keynes unitary authority, Buckinghamshire, England. The combined parish is one of a number within Milton Keynes, the overall settlement that takes its name from the village at the heart of its parish. The parish council serves the combined area of Broughton civil parish (which covers Atterbury, Brooklands, Brook Furlong, Broughton and Northfield) and Milton Keynes civil parish (which covers Fox Milne, Middleton (including Milton Keynes Village), Oakgrove and Pineham). At the 2011 census, the two parishes had a combined population of 8,117.

Oakgrove School is a coeducational, nursery, primary school, secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Middleton (Oakgrove Secondary) and Oakgrove (Oakgrove Primary & Nursery) districts of south-east Milton Keynes, England. It is the flagship school of the Kingsbridge Educational Trust.The school originally opened on 1 September 2005, intaking roughly 60 students of both Year 7 and Year 8. In September 2016 the school expanded further to include a primary and nursery school section, for children aged 4 to 11.

The Milton Keynes Hoard is a hoard of Bronze Age gold found in September 2000 in a field at Monkston Park in Milton Keynes, England. The hoard consisted of two torcs, three bracelets, and a fragment of bronze rod contained in a pottery vessel. The inclusion of pottery in the find enabled it to be dated to around 1150–800 BC.Weighing in at 2.020 kg (4.45 lb), the hoard was described by the British Museum as "one of the biggest concentrations of Bronze Age gold known from Great Britain" and "important for providing a social and economic picture for the period". The hoard was valued at £290,000 and is now in the British Museum.Several other antiquities, including Romano-British hoards, have been found within a 10–12 miles (16–19 km) radius of the centre of Milton Keynes.

St Lawrence's Church is a redundant Anglican church in Broughton, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands on the eastern periphery of Milton Keynes, between the A4146 and (former) A5130 roads. It is listed at Grade I because of its "remarkable series" of medieval wall paintings.

Broughton (, BRAW-tən) is a historic village, modern district and civil parish in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, situated approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Central Milton Keynes. As of 2020, it is governed by Broughton and Milton Keynes Joint Parish Council, which it shares with the neighboring Milton Keynes parish. Today, Broughton is a large district of (greater) Milton Keynes that has been developed around the original village and that grew substantially during the 2000s and 2010s.

The Milton Keynes Coachway (also Milton Keynes coach station) is a Coachway interchange close to junction 14 of the M1 motorway on the eastern edge of Milton Keynes, north Buckinghamshire, England. It supports National Express intercity coach services to cities, towns and airports on the M1 (and the roads that it connects to), and on into Scotland, to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton Airports, as well as Stagecoach East's route X5 between Oxford and Bedford, and interchange between these services. There are also local bus services and nearby, a park and ride site. It is the second busiest coach station in the United Kingdom. Dating from 1989, it was the first of the UK's Coachway interchanges.

Oakgrove is a district of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, England, in the civil parish of Milton Keynes. The district includes a small retail centre consisting of a Waitrose Supermarket, a Metro Bank branch, and other small services units. A large portion of the district is reserved as linear park to accommodate the flood plain of the river Ouzel, a tributary of the river Great Ouse.

Kents Hill, Monkston and Brinklow is a civil parish that covers the Kents Hill, Brinklow, Monkston, Monkston Park and Kingston districts of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, England. As the first tier of Local Government, the Parish Council is responsible for the people, living and working in this area of Milton Keynes. The Parish was formed in 2001 as part of a general parishing of the Borough. It is bounded by Chaffron Way, the Broughton Brook, Newport Road, Groveway, Brickhill Street, Standing Way, and the River Ouzel.

Walton Hall is a district in Milton Keynes, in the English county of Buckinghamshire, and is the location of the campus and offices of The Open University. The university campus covers 45 hectares (110 acres) and the first buildings were designed by Maxwell Fry and Jane Drew in 1969.It is in the ancient ecclesiastic and modern civil parish of Walton. In the university campus grounds are the manor house (Walton Hall), which gives the district its name, and the ancient parish church of St Michael, now deconsecrated. The village farm-lands are divided between Walton Hall, the modern Walton, Kents Hill and Walnut Tree. The manor house itself, built in 1830 in the Regency style for the Pinfold family, is home to the vice-chancellor's offices of the Open University.Walton Hall is on the banks of the Ouzel, a tributary of the Great Ouse where Walton Lake, a disused balancing lake, has become naturalised and is home to reeds, bulrushes, reed warbler, reed bunting, water rail, sparrowhawk, kestrel, green woodpecker, grass snake and many varieties of odonata. Surrounding the reedbed are ponds and open water, ancient hedgerows and hay meadow.

Kingston is a district in the east side of Milton Keynes, in the civil parish of Kents Hill, Monkston and Brinklow. Kingston District Centre is a large retail development that serves this side of the Milton Keynes urban area (its home parish and the parishes of Broughton, Milton Keynes (civil parish), Walton, Woburn Sands and Wavendon). The District Centre houses a Tesco hypermarket and other UK high street names, such as Aldi, Boots, Wilko, and other retail outlets. The centre also has a small local library, a meeting place and a separate restaurant building on the Southern ring road. Its Marks and Spencer closed in February 2020According to Milton Keynes City Council, Kingston, Wolverton, Bletchley and Westcroft form the second tier in the retail hierarchy of the city, below Central Milton Keynes.Bounded by Chaffron Way (H7) to the north, Tongwell St (A4146/V11) to the east, Standing Way (A421/H8) to the south and Newport Rd (formerly the A5130) to the east, the rest of the district consists of motor dealers, light industry factories and warehouses, including a Costco wholesale.

Willen Lake is a visitor attraction and public park in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire The site is owned by The Parks Trust, an independent, self-funded charity that cares for and maintains over 6,000 acres of green space across MK.Willen Lake is Milton Keynes's most popular park, attracting in excess of 750,000 visitors a year. It comprises 180 acres of landscaped parkland which surround around 100 acres of water across two lakes. Both lakes are balancing lakes, designed to mitigate flooding from the River Ouzel. The southern lake offers a wide range of activities on and off the water, whilst the northern lake offers a more natural and tranquil setting, ideal for quiet walks and spotting wildlife.
