The Art Institute of Jacksonville was a for-profit institution of higher education in Jacksonville, Florida, and one of The Art Institutes, a corporate system of over 40 educational institutions throughout North America, providing education in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts. The school opened in 2007 as a branch of the Miami International University of Art & Design.The Art Institute of Jacksonville is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school started offering culinary programs in July 2007.The Art Institutes system is a subsidiary of Education Management Corporation a for-profit college organization. Beginning in August 2011, Education Management Corporation was one of several for-profit college companies to be investigated and sued by federal and state agencies for illegal recruitment practices and fraudulent receipt of federal financial aid money.In 2015, the Art Institute of Jacksonville announced it would close along with 14 other Art Institutes branches in the aftermath of the federal investigations. The school ceased admitting new students and closed when its enrolled students had graduated.

Logos University, formerly Logos Christian College and Graduate School, is an unaccredited interdenominational private university in Jacksonville, Florida. The university offers academic degree programs designed for professional service in Christian ministry using distance learning. Although it is accredited by the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities, that organization's accreditation is not recognized by the US or UK government.

Deerwood was the first gated community in Florida, US. After it was established in the mid-1960s, it was the most exclusive residential area on Jacksonville's Southside. The golf course hosted the Greater Jacksonville Open in the late 1960s and early 1970s, forerunner of The Players Championship, and was once the site of talks between President Gerald Ford and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat in November 1975.

Congregation Ahavath Chesed is a Reform Jewish synagogue in Jacksonville, Florida. It is the oldest Jewish congregation in Florida and one of the first formally incorporated.

Community Hospice & Palliative Care, also known simply as Community Hospice, is a not-for-profit hospice, which has served the Greater Jacksonville Metropolitan Area since its inception in 1979. The organization was the first hospice program in Northeast Florida and one of a few operating programs in the state when Florida began granting hospice licenses in 1981; Community Hospice received their license in 1983 and in 2008, assisted nearly 1,000 patients daily and more than 6,000 patients a year.

Samuel W. Wolfson High School (or simply Wolfson) is a magnet high school located in the Duval County Public School district. As an academic magnet and college preparatory school, Wolfson specializes in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses. In addition to its academic focus, Samuel Wolfson School for Advanced Studies has a athletics program, a program for visual and performing arts, and a JROTC program. Its name is derived from Samuel W. Wolfson, a local businessman whose family was prominent in Jacksonville, Wolfson houses the Finance, Law, and Business magnet program. A VyStar Credit Union branch is located inside the school, and is available for students and faculty to use. Wolfson is a member of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The school's main rival is the Englewood Rams.

WKBJ-LD, virtual and UHF digital channel 20, is a low-powered Buzzr-affiliated television station licensed to Live Oak, Florida, United States. While Live Oak and Suwannee County is within the Tallahassee media market, the station instead serves the Jacksonville, Florida market, from its transmitter and tower located near the corner of Hogan and Newton Roads in the Brackridge neighborhood of Jacksonville, just off Florida State Road 115. The station is owned by the DTV America Corporation.

San Jose Episcopal Church is an historic Episcopal church located at 7423 San Jose Boulevard, in the San Jose section of Jacksonville, Florida in the United States. It was built in 1925 as the San Jose Estates Administration Building. On April 10, 1985. it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as the San Jose Administration Building.

WJXT (channel 4) is an independent television station in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. It is owned by Graham Media Group alongside CW affiliate WCWJ (channel 17). Both stations share studios at 4 Broadcast Place on the south bank of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, while WJXT's transmitter is located on Anders Boulevard in the city's Killarney Shores section.

Both stations share studios on East Adams Street (near TIAA Bank Field) in downtown Jacksonville, while WTLV's transmitter is located on Anders Boulevard in the city's Killarney Shores section.
