The Oaks (Kents Store, Virginia)

Laughton is a historic home located near Kents Store, Fluvanna County, Virginia. The original section was begun about 1785. It was enlarged near the end of the 18th century, and in 1836, 1842, and 1976. The main section consists of a 1+1/2-story, two bay portion with a two-story, three bay addition. The house features a chimney laid in Flemish bond with double paved weatherings. The house was restored in 1976. Also on the property are the contributing boxwood alley nearly 20 feet tall leading to the front door, the remains of the foundation of an outdoor kitchen incorporated in an herb garden and the Shepherd family cemetery.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Belvidere is a historic farm property at 4024 Pace Road in rural Goochland County, Virginia, south of the hamlet of Hadensville. The property consists of 127 acres (51 ha) that are now mainly woodland, with a cleared area near its center with some fields and the farm complex. The centerpiece of the farm complex is a two-story wood-frame house, whose oldest portion probably dates to the late 18th century. It was enlarged by a two-story addition in 1821–22, and underwent further alterations in the 19th century before undergoing restoration beginning in 1979. It is a rare surviving example of 18th-century architecture in the county.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

It was built about 1802, and is a two-story, vernacular Federal period building. It has a center passage plan, and features wood-frame construction with weatherboard cladding. A 1+1⁄2-story, rear addition dates to about 1920. The building was used as a drover's tavern until 1836, after which it was occupied as a single family home.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Bloomington is a historic home located at Louisa, Louisa County, Virginia. The dwelling evolved into its present form from an original two-room, split-log dwelling dating to about 1790. The main block was built about 1832, and is a two-story, three-bay structure with steeply-pitched gable roof constructed over a raised brick basement. A one-story, gable-roofed addition was attached to the north wall of the main block about 1900. The house is a rare example of 18th-to-early-19th-century English frame construction which found expression in early Southern Colonial style. Also on the property are a contributing tobacco barn, horse barn, corn crib, and tool shed.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
