The Oaks Golf Course is a public, 18-hole layout located in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, United States. It opened in 2003. It was named one of Golf Digest magazine's "best new courses" in 2004.The course has six par 3s, five par 5s, and nine par 4s for a total par of 71. The Oaks uses bent grass for its tees, fairways, and greens and was designed with the natural landscape in mind, according to course architect Greg Martin.

Cottage Grove is a village in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. Its population was 7,303 at the 2020 census. A suburb of Madison, it shares a school district with Monona. The village is located partially within the Town of Cottage Grove. The village was named from a settler's cottage in a grove near the village site.

Vilas is a town in Langlade County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 233 at the 2010 census.

WJQM (93.1 FM) is a radio station serving Madison, Wisconsin and surrounding areas. The station is owned by Mid-West Family Broadcasting and launched a rhythmic contemporary format as "106.7 Jamz" in January 2007 before the move to 93.1 FM in October 2008. Over the years WJQM has shifted to a more Urban Contemporary focus with some rhythmic contemporary songs remaining in the rotation. WJQM is an affiliate of The Breakfast Club morning show, the Bootleg Kev show and is the only urban focused commercial radio station in Wisconsin outside of the Milwaukee radio market. WJQM features shows such as The Throwback Lunch which features old school and some throwback rhythmic hits, an afternoon mix show hosted by locally based DJ Fusion and features Madison and Wisconsin based hip hop and R&B artists in features dubbed "local love" as well as a show featuring local talent on Sunday nights.

Sun Prairie East High School (SPEHS) is a public high school in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, United States. It is one of two high schools in the Sun Prairie Area School District, the other being Sun Prairie West High School. During the 2022-2023 school year, there were 1,365 students at Sun Prairie East High School. SPEHS is a WIAA Division 1 school and is a member of the Big Eight athletic conference in all sports except for football, in which it is a WIAA Division 2 school and a member of the Badger Conference.In the summer of 2010, Sun Prairie High School moved to a new building in the southeast part of town. The former school became a combined 8th and 9th grade upper middle school and was named Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School. Cardinal Heights later became a 6th-8th grade middle school and was renamed to Central Heights Middle School. In 2022, the school split into 2 high schools, Sun Prairie West High School and Sun Prairie East High School, with SPWHS getting a new campus on Ironwood Drive and SPEHS keeping the Grove Street Campus.

Door Creek (also Buckeye, Deer Creek) is an unincorporated community located in the town of Cottage Grove, Dane County, Wisconsin, United States.

The National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame is an American Hall of Fame and museum for midget cars. The Hall of Fame is located at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and can be accessed during weekly Sunday races during the summer. Inductees are often honored with their award in January at the Chili Bowl at Tulsa.

Angell Park Speedway has a 1/3 mile (0.54 km) dirt racetrack located in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The track has been run by the city's fire department since 1903. Racing occurs every Sunday approximately Memorial Day until Labor Day. Special racing events and the weather may alter the schedule. The races were sanctioned by the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association (BMARA), the oldest midget organization in the world. Some events are co-sanctioned by the United States Automobile Club (USAC). BMARA sanctions several midget car events at other nearby tracks. The World of Outlaws held their first sprint car races at the track in August 2016. In addition to the racetrack, the facility features the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame, a pavilion, and the Sun Prairie Firemans Park in the Prairie. The park was built by the Sun Prairie community on September 18, 2007, and was dedicated on October 7, 2007. The project was led by Sun Prairie residents Rebecca Ketelson and Anita Holcomb. Leather's and Associates was the project architect.

The Chase Grain Elevator is a grain elevator located in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. It was built in 1922 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. It is the last known tile elevator remaining in Wisconsin.

The Fuhremann Canning Company Factory is a historic factory building at 151 Market Street in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The Fuhremann Canning Company built the original version of the current building in 1912, replacing an earlier factory built by the Sun Prairie Canning Company in 1912. The Oconomowoc Canning Company bought the factory in 1929 and extensively rebuilt it in 1943–44. All of the factory's owners used the building to produce canned vegetables and particularly canned peas, one of Wisconsin's major crops. During World War II, German prisoners of war at Camp McCoy were brought to work at the factory, as the war had caused an agricultural labor shortage despite large pea and corn harvests. The factory continued to produce canned vegetables until 2000; the building is now used for retail and apartments.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 15, 2004.

Hope was an unincorporated community, now a neighborhood, located in the former town of Blooming Grove and Cottage Grove in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. Hope, as of 2020, now lies partially within the city of Madison making it a neighborhood rather than an unincorporated community. Hope does still extend into the unincorporated town of Cottage Grove.

The Dr. Charles G. Crosse House is a historic home built circa 1865 and located at 133 W. Main Street in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.Charles G. Crosse moved to Sun Prairie in 1860 and was instrumental in its development. He was the city's doctor and operated a drugstore. Dr. Crosse and his son Charles S. Crosse published a newspaper called The Countryman, which documented the daily activity of the area. He served as village president, on the school board, and as a state legislator.Shortly after returning from his service as a physician in the Civil War, Crosse built the house that is the subject of this article. The house is 1.5 stories, with a T-shaped floor plan. The style is Carpenter Gothic, clearly marked by the ornate scroll-sawn vergeboards on the gable end, and the decorations on the posts that support the broad front porch. The front door contains a round-topped window, and the tall multi-paned window in the dormer above has a similar round top. On each side of the front door is a French door which opens onto the porch. From the center of the house rises a chimney topped with a brick arch.Crosse lived in the house until he died in 1908. His family owned the house until 1919. Later it was made into rental units, and was losing its integrity by 1976. In that year a group of preservation-minded citizens got together and began restoring it.
