Kirkby Underwood is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish was 200 at the 2001 census, increasing to 220 at the 2011 census. It is situated 4 miles (6 km) north from Bourne and 1 mile (1.6 km) west from the main A15 trunk road. To the east is Rippingale and the Fens. Directly to the south is the hamlet of Stainfield, and to the west, Hawthorpe. Kirkby Underwood Grade I listed Anglican church is dedicated to St. Mary and All Saints. In 1885 Kelly's Directory described the church as in Perpendicular style, with chancel, nave and south aisle, and a tower containing three bells. It was in a "very ruinous state". The parish register dated from 1569.The ecclesiastical parish is part of The Ringstone in Aveland Group of the Deanery of Beltisloe, Diosece of Lincoln. The vicar was the Revd Dr Lynda Pugh between 2012 and 2018. The incumbent is the Revd Neil Bullen. Between the village and Hawthorpe is Callan's Lane Wood, run by the Forestry Commission. Near the wood are two radio masts and a BT microwave transmitter.

A railway station on a line between Bourne and Sleaford opened in 1871 for goods and closed in 1964; regular passenger services lasted from 1872 to 1930.Rippingale falls within the drainage area of the Black Sluice Internal Drainage Board.South of the village is the site of Ringstone, a lost village, which dates from before the Norman conquest and which survived into the 19th century as Ringstone Hall.TF094270 Rippingale has a village design statement produced by a Village Design Statement Committee. Bulby is a hamlet in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, and in the civil parish of Irnham, Bulby and Hawthorpe. The village is situated west of the A15, east of the A1, and approximately 4 miles (6 km) north-west from the town of Bourne. In 1872 the two hamlets of Bulby and Hawthorpe were grouped as Bulby-cum-Hawthorpe forming the eastern side of Irnham parish, being a joint township with a population of 180 in 1,767 acres (7.2 km2) "of fertile land". About 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) of Bulby-cum-Hawthorpe land was purchased by Rev. William Watson Smith in about 1840, who built on it the Elizabethan-style Bulby House and grounds. By 1872, Bulby House and 1,100 acres (4.5 km2) of township land was owned by Gilbert Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby, 1st Earl of Ancaster (Lord Aveland), who was lord of the manor. A moated area evident at the time was said to be the site of Bulby Hall which is "supposed to have been burnt down in the Barons' wars".Bulby has close associations with farming, has a number of surrounding farms, and a plant nursery. The River East Glen passes close to the west of the hamlet.There is evidence of a previous Bulby Hall, and two Medieval settlements: Little Bulby and East Bulby.

Morton Road railway station was a station serving the village of Morton, Lincolnshire on the Great Northern Railway Bourne and Sleaford railway. It opened in 1872 and closed to passengers in 1930. The section from Bourne through Morton to Billingborough remained open for goods until 1965.Following closure the station buildings and yard were used for a local crawler tractor distributor. The main building is now a private residence and a housing development Old Station Yard now occupies the rest of the site.

Scottlethorpe is a village in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) north-west from Bourne, and on the A151 road. The village is within the civil parish of Edenham; the local area is part of the Grimsthorpe Castle estate. The modern settlement is a series of cottages and a small terrace of houses extending along Scottlethorpe Lane between the modern village of Edenham and the site of the medieval chapel. Scottlethorpe is mentioned in the Domesday Book as "Scachertorp" within the Beltisloe wapentake, and consisting of 3 households and 1.3 ploughlands. In 1086 the Lord of the Manor and Tenant-in-chief became Robert of Tosny.There were medieval chapels in the area, one at Scottlethorpe, and others wider afield. The remains of the 12th-century chapel at Scottlethorpe survived as part of a barn at Manor Farm. However, the barn doorway might have come not from the chapel, but from Vaudey Abbey, The doorway was moved into Edenham church in 1967.

Edenham railway station was a station in Edenham, Lincolnshire. It was the terminus of a four-mile branch line from the Great Northern Railway at Little Bytham. The line was built and operated by the Edenham & Little Bytham Railway (E&LBR). It was opened on 8 December 1857. The station closed to passengers on 17 October 1871. Freight traffic continued until about 1884, when the line closed.
