Tomblaine (French pronunciation: [tɔ̃blɛn]) is a commune in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in north-eastern France. Stage 7 of the Tour de France on 7 July 2012 started in Tomblaine. The Stade Marcel Picot, football stadium to Ligue 1 side AS Nancy, is located within the area.

The canton of Tomblaine (French: Canton de Tomblaine) is a former French canton located in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle in the Lorraine region (now part of Grand Est). It was created on January 26, 1982, from 11 communes of the canton of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port. It is now part of the canton of Saint-Max. The last general councillor from this canton was Jean-Pierre Laurency (PS), elected in 2011.

École nationale supérieure en génie des systèmes et de l'innovation (ENSGSI) a French engineering College created in 1993. The school trains engineers with in organizational engineering, design engineering, innovation, management of complex projects. Located in Nancy, the ENSGSI is a public higher education institution. The school is a member of the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine.

The École Européenne d'Ingénieurs en Génie des Matériaux (EEIGM) is a French engineering College created in 1991. The EEIGM trains 90 materials engineers every year. All students study the main groups of materials, which are metals and alloys, polymers, ceramics and composites. Located in Nancy, the EEIGM is a public higher education institution. The school is a member of the University of Lorraine and the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine. It also is a member of a consortium of European universities in which students get to travel through Erasmus programs.

Created in 1969, the school depends on the French ministry for the Culture and the Communication since 1996.

Dommartemont (French pronunciation: [dɔmaʁtəmɔ̃]) is a commune in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in north-eastern France.

The Arboretum de l'Abiétinée (1.5 hectares) is an arboretum located between Rue Pasteur and the Grand Allée in Malzéville, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Lorraine, France. The garden is strongly linked to the history of French Art Nouveau but currently unmaintained. The private arboretum was created in 1902 by Eugène Schott, mayor of Malzéville and also vice president of the Société centrale d'horticulture de Nancy. Emile Gallé, a major force in the French Art Nouveau movement, concurrently served as the society's president, and the nearby Cure d'Air Trianon was, like the arboretum, designed in the Art Nouveau style. Horticulturist and conifer specialist Victor Didier designed and led planting of the garden, whose name reflects the society's interest in fir trees (Abies). According to a document by Didier, published in 1910, the garden contained 25 genera and 277 taxa of conifers, as well as a number of other woody plants. It received honors for its conifer collection in the years 1904-1913, but the property changed hands several times subsequently as the arboretum fell into disuse. As of 2006 it was in danger of loss to development, and efforts were underway to save and restore it.

The Jardin Dominique Alexandre Godron is a historic botanical garden located at 3 rue Sainte-Catherine, Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Lorraine, France. It is open daily without charge. The garden was founded in 1758 by Stanisław Leszczyński, the last Duke of Lorraine, as an adjunct to the Royal College of Medicine. It occupies 27 hectares (67 acres). It is the city's oldest botanical garden, and remained active as such until 1993 when its collections were transferred to the larger Jardin botanique du Montet outside the central city. It was named in honor of celebrated local botanist Dominique Alexandre Godron (1807-1880), who redesigned and reinvigorated the garden during his tenure as director, and now displays horticultural collections in its long, narrow beds.
