Hyde Street Studios

The Black Hawk was a San Francisco nightclub that featured live jazz performances during its period of operation from 1949 to 1963. It was located on the corner of Turk Street and Hyde Street in San Francisco's Tenderloin District. Guido Caccienti owned the club along with Johnny and Helen Noga.

The Tenderloin is a neighborhood in downtown San Francisco, in the flatlands on the southern slope of Nob Hill, situated between the Union Square shopping district to the northeast and the Civic Center office district to the southwest. It encompasses about 50 square blocks, and is a large wedge/triangle in shape (point faces East). It is historically bounded on the north by Geary Street, on the east by Mason Street, on the south by Market Street and on the west by Van Ness Avenue. The northern boundary with Lower Nob Hill historically has been set at Geary Street. The area has among the highest levels of homelessness and crime in the city. The terms "Tenderloin Heights" and "The Tendernob" refer to the area around the indefinite boundary between the Upper Tenderloin and Lower Nob Hill. The eastern extent, near Union Square, overlaps with the Theater District. Part of the western extent of the Tenderloin, Larkin and Hyde Streets between Turk and O'Farrell, was officially named "Little Saigon" by the City of San Francisco.

The Cadillac Hotel is a historic building from c. 1907 – c. 1908 in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, California, U.S.. It was the first non-profit single-residence occupancy (SRO) hotel in the Western United States. Since 2015, the first two floors of the building is the home to the Tenderloin Museum, a cultural history museum dedicated to the neighborhood. It was called the A.A. Louderback Building, and nicknamed "The House of Welcome" during the early 20th-century.The Cadillac Hotel has been listed as a San Francisco Designated Landmark since 1985; and is part of the NRHP-listed Uptown Tenderloin Historic District since 2009. The building also has a historical marker, erected by Uptown Tenderloin, Inc..

Hospitality House (aka Central City Hospitality House) is a house of hospitality-type center that serves the homeless and poor of San Francisco, specifically those of the Tenderloin district of the city, where it is located. At a drop-in day center it provides counseling, instruction, computer access, medical triage, and other forms of assistance. It also runs a 30-bed shelter, two Employment Resource Centers, and a fine arts studio. Its main office is located at 290 Turk Street. It has been in operation since 1967. Hospitality House is known for encouraging the homeless and poor to take part in art and creative writing. It has published the work of many artists and writers, and holds periodic exhibitions where the artists can sell their work. Hospitality House operates the Community Art Studio, a storefront art gallery and studio, which has been offering free working space and art supplies to all comers since 1969.Hospitality House is a beneficiary of numerous fund raising events such as the Up Your Alley Fest. In 2014 the facility attracted international news coverage when a 53-year-old homeless man competed in the San Francisco Marathon to raise funds for Hospitality House. He also raffled off one of his paintings to benefit the charity. He wound up running a half-marathon and raised nearly $10,000 for Hospitality House.Outsider artist Jane Winkelman was originally introduced to painting at Hospitality House.

The YMCA Hotel is a historic building in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco, California, United States.

The Hibernia Bank, headquartered in San Francisco, California, was founded in April 1859 as the Hibernia Savings and Loan Society. In 1892, the company built a Beaux-Arts headquarters at 1 Jones Street at the corner of McAllister and Market Streets, designed by Albert Pissis. Slightly damaged in the 1906 earthquake and fire, it re-opened again just five weeks after the calamity; Pissis designed an addition to the building in 1908. The bank left the building in 1985, and, after a brief period in which it was used by the San Francisco Police Department, the building was vacant for decades, until it was restored and renovated in 2016. As of 2017, the building, re-branded as "The Hibernia", is being subdivided for leasing to tenants who need less than the building's overall 42,000 square feet (3,900 m2) of space. The Hibernia Bank Building is a designated San Francisco landmark.

The Phillip Burton Federal Building & United States Courthouse is a massive 21 floor, 312 feet (95 m) federal office building located at 450 Golden Gate Avenue near San Francisco's Civic Center and the San Francisco City Hall. The building occupies an entire city block, bounded by Golden Gate Avenue at the south, Turk Street at the north, Polk Street at the west, and Larkin Street at the east. Designed by the local architectural firm of John Carl Warnecke and Associates in the International Style, construction was completed in 1964. It serves as one of four courthouses for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The building was finished in 1964, one of the earliest office towers for San Francisco. It is named for former U.S. Representative Phillip Burton.

The University of California, Hastings College of the Law (UC Hastings) is a public law school in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1878 by Serranus Clinton Hastings, UC Hastings was the first law school of the University of California as well as one of the first law schools established in California and the Western United States. Although part of the University of California, UC Hastings is not directly governed by the Regents of the University of California. UC Hastings is also one of the few prominent university-affiliated law schools in the United States that does not share a campus with the university's undergraduates or other postgraduate programs. The law school has an extensive alumni network in California, particularly the San Francisco Bay Area, that includes general counsels, law firm partners, politicians, judges and corporate executives. Notable alumni include Kamala D. Harris, the 49th Vice President of the United States; George R. Roberts, a founding member of the private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts; Alexander Francis Morrison, the founding member of the international law firm Morrison & Foerster; William H. In November 2021, the Board of Directors of UC Hastings voted to change the name of the institution because of namesake S. C. Hastings' involvement in the killing and dispossessing of Yuki people in the 1850s.

The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco – Chong-Moon Lee Center for Asian Art and Culture is a museum in San Francisco, California that specializes in Asian art. It was founded by Olympian Avery Brundage in the 1960s and has more than 18,000 works of art in its permanent collection, some as much as 6,000 years old. It's logo is an upside down letter A, which also looks like a letter V with a line through it.
