Devil's Dyke is a 100m deep V-shaped dry valley on the South Downs in Sussex in southern England, 5 miles (8.0 km) north-west of Brighton. It is managed by the National Trust, and is also part of the Beeding Hill to Newtimber Hill Site of Special Scientific Interest. Devil's Dyke was a major local tourist attraction in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is now a popular viewpoint and site for walking, model aircraft flying and hang gliding. The South Downs Way passes the site.

Newtimber Place is a Grade I listed building in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England. The house sits on a D-shaped island in a moat. The oldest part of the house dates from the 16th century.The north wing is apparently the oldest part of the building, dating from the 16th century. It was considerably extended in the 17th century by the addition of the east wing. The house is built from flint and red brick with stone quoins.The grounds are in the northern part of the civil parish of Newtimber, which gets its name from the building.

The Dyke railway station was a railway station near Devil's Dyke in West Sussex, England which opened in 1887 and closed in 1939.

Newtimber is a small village and civil parish in the Mid Sussex District of West Sussex, England. It is located north-west of Brighton. The parish also includes the hamlet of Saddlescombe. The parish lies almost wholly with the South Downs National Park, with the exception of a small section of the parish north of the B2117 road. The planning authority for Newtimber is therefore the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA), the statutory planning authority for the National Park area. The downland scarp, which includes Newtimber Hill, Newtimber Holt, Saddlescombe chalk quarry and Summer Down, is mostly part of the Beeding Hill to Newtimber Hill, designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. The parish covers an area of 695 hectares (1,720 acres). At the 2011 Census the population was included in the civil parish of Poynings.

Beeding Hill to Newtimber Hill is a 321-hectare (790-acre) biological and geological Downland Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) north of Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade 2, and it includes Devil's Dyke Geological Conservation Review site.There are thirteen distinct areas within this SSSI. Most of it is on the north-facing slope of the South Downs on unimproved chalk grassland. Grazed chalk downland, such as this, has a diverse flora with around 40 flowering plants per square metre. There are areas of scrub and in places this scrub has developed into woodland, and there are also some areas of mature beech woodland. The richest areas are dominated by upright brome and fine-leaved grasses such as sheep’s fescue and crested hair-grass. The site supports rare orchid species including frog orchid and in the woodlands, yellow bird’s nest and bird’s nest orchid. The site supports a nationally important assemblage of the Opilionid group of Arachnids (harvestmen), a locality of the nationally uncommon scarce forester moth and the adonis blue butterfly.

Fulking is a village and civil parish in the Mid Sussex District of West Sussex, England. The parish lies wholly with the South Downs National Park. The parish is located on the north slopes of the South Downs, five miles (8 km) to the north-west of Brighton, sandwiched between the Upper Beeding and Poynings parish. The civil parish covers an area of 628.31 hectares (1,552.6 acres). The downland scarp, which includes the Fulking and Perching bostals (paths), is part of the Beeding Hill to Newtimber Hill designated Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Golf Club Halt railway station, was a railway station in Hove, in East Sussex, England which opened in 1891 and closed in 1939. The station served the Brighton & Hove Golf Club, established in 1887. As of 2018, the platform is still in situ, buried in undergrowth on private farmland.

Wolstonbury Hill is a 58.9-hectare (146-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-west of in West Sussex. It is owned by the National Trust and part of it is a Scheduled Monument.

Danny is a Grade I listed Elizabethan red brick mansion near Hurstpierpoint in West Sussex, England. It lies at the northern foot of Wolstonbury Hill and may be regarded as one of the finest stately houses in Sussex, with 56 bedrooms and 28 apartments. The present house was built 1593–95 by George Goring, on the site of an older house. It is set in eight acres (32,000 m2) of gardens at the foot of the South Downs within an historic parkland of some 400 acres, which was granted by royal charter in 1333.

Edburton Castle Ring (or Castle Rings) is an archaeological site in West Sussex, England, on the peak of Edburton Hill on the South Downs, near the villages of Edburton and Fulking. It is a Scheduled Monument.

The Church of the Transfiguration is the Church of England parish church of the village of Pyecombe, in the Mid Sussex District of West Sussex, England. The mostly 12th- and 13th-century building, in an isolated setting facing the South Downs, has been designated a Grade I Listed building.
