Westmount Summit

Raimbault Creek was a watercourse on the Island of Montreal in present-day Côte-des-Neiges and Saint-Laurent which drained into the Rivière des Prairies.Côte-des-Neiges Road follows the path of the former creek between the two summits of Mount Royal. In the 1950s or early 1960s, the city of Montreal covered over the creek, making it into an underground collector sewer. It was possibly named after Pierre Raimbault (1671–1740), landowner and notary.

Roslyn Elementary School, located in Westmount, Quebec, Canada, is a coeducational public school for children between kindergarten and grade six. The school opened in September 1908 and is currently operated by the English Montreal School Board (EMSB). Roslyn offers bilingual education in English and French; the school introduced its French Immersion Program in 1968, the first on the island of Montreal. Classrooms are equipped with a SMARTboard. In September 2014, the school opened its new technology lab with seed funding from a 2013-14 Future Shop Future Generation Tech Lab Grant and partly funded by the Roslyn Home and School Association.

Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal (French: Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal) is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine located at 3800 Queen Mary Road in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood on Mount Royal's Westmount Summit in Montreal, Quebec. It is a National Historic Site of Canada and is Canada's largest church, with one of the largest church domes in the world. Founded in 1904 by Saint André Bessette in his patron saint, Saint Joseph's honour, the Oratory was brought alive through the work and ingenuity of numerous architects and thousands of workers in a process spanning six decades. With its monumental scale, Renaissance Revival facade and contrasting Art Deco interior, the Oratory is recognizable not just in Montreal but around the world, attracting more than 2 million visitors and pilgrims to its steps each year.The Oratory is the highest building in Montreal, rising more than 30 meters above Mount Royal's summit, allowing it to be seen from many kilometers away. It is one of the few buildings that violates the height restriction under the municipal building code of Montreal, which limits the height of any building, including skyscrapers, from surpassing the height of Mount Royal.Since 2018, the dome and lantern atop the Oratory have undergone a series of renovations expected to be completed in 2024 by architecture firms Atelier TAG and Architecture49. The C$80 million project will create safe access to the lantern which will allow for an unprecedented 360-degree view over the mountain of the city.

Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery (French: Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges) is a 343-acre (139 ha) rural cemetery located in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montreal, Quebec, Canada which was founded in 1854. The entrance and the grounds run along a part of Côte-des-Neiges Road and up the slopes of Mount Royal. Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Canada and the third-largest in North America.

It is situated near other QAIS schools, including Selwyn House School and The Study. The school teaches students from Kindergarten up to Grade 11. The annual tuition fees for attending the school range from $19,050 to $22,160. The school also receives subsidies from the provincial government for middle and senior school, which means all students in those sections must have a certificate of eligibility allowing them to attend government-funded English schools in Quebec in accordance with Bill 101. Students without the certificate can attend the non-subsidized junior school section and qualify for the certificate after three years as long as they and any of their siblings have never previously attended a French school.

St. George's School of Montreal is an independent school in Montreal, Quebec, Canada founded in 1930. It consists of two campuses: the elementary school campus in Westmount, Quebec, and the high school campus in Montreal just 15 minutes' walk from Beaver Lake and Mount Royal Park. The school is a co-educational, non-denominational day school, where students do not wear school uniforms, except during physical education class. St. George's School of Montreal is a member of The Quebec Association of Independent Schools (QAIS), The Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS), and The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). St. George's was founded by a small group of parents who, inspired by the movement for progressive education, rejected the authoritarian ways associated with conventional education. They believed that learning should be a natural and enjoyable activity related to the developmental stages and needs of the child. During most of the 20th century it was notable for being one of the most avant garde, liberal and innovative schools in the province of Quebec, largely due to its child-centered philosophy (which was quite exceptional in the 1930s, and unique in Montreal). The school's pedagogy is guided by its Founding Principles: (1) The child should have abundant opportunity for creative expression; (2) Adapt education to the differences of the individual child; (3) Health must come first; (4) Group-consciousness and social-mindedness should be developed; (5) Learning comes from doing; (6) The classroom should be freed from unnatural restraints.St. George's is a day school, however there is a family boarding program for international students. The annual tuition fees for attending St. George's range from $18,568 to $22,889 for non-international students and up to $52,037 for new international boarding students. As the school receives subsidies from the Quebec government from Grades 7 to 11, all students attending the high school section are required to have a certificate of eligibility allowing them to attend government-funded English schools in accordance with Bill 101.

Westmount–Saint-Georges was a former provincial electoral district in the Montreal region of Quebec, Canada. It elected members to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec. It was created for the 1939 election from Westmount electoral district. Its final election was in 1962. It disappeared in the 1966 election and its successor electoral district was the re-created Westmount.

Westmount is an affluent municipality on the Island of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is an enclave of the city of Montreal, with a population of 19,658 as of the 2021 Canadian census.Westmount is home to schools, an arena, a pool, a public library and a number of parks, including Westmount Park, King George Park (also known as Murray Hill Park) and Westmount Summit. Westmount was a former provincial electoral district located in the Montreal region of Quebec, Canada. It corresponded to the city of Westmount in Montreal. It was created for the 1912 election from Montréal–Saint-Georges. It disappeared in the 1939 election and its successor election was Westmount–Saint-Georges. However, Westmount–Saint-Georges disappeared in the 1966 election and its successor electoral district was the re-created Westmount. Westmount's final election was in 1989. It disappeared for good in the 1994 election.
