St. George's School of Montreal

The Îlot-Trafalgar-Gleneagles is a historic block in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, located on Côte-des-Neiges Road, on the west slope of Mount Royal. Recognized in 2002 as an historic site by the Quebec government's Répertoire du patrimoine culturel du Québec, the area features four buildings: The Gleneagles, a Scottish Baronial building completed by architects Ross and Macdonald in 1929; the Château Style Trafalgar Building, built in 1931, with seven to twelve stories; and the Thompson (1907) and Sparrow (1910) houses.At the time of their 2002 historic designation, the Thompson and Sparrow residences had been facing demolition. A plan by Canderel Corporation to build a 10-story tower on the site of the homes was blocked by the Quebec government just days before then-mayor Pierre Bourque had been set to approve the plan. In addition to the historic classification of the Îlot-Trafalgar-Gleneagles, the provincial government's Commission des biens culturels du Québec also worked with the city to extend the perimeter of Mount Royal's protected area to include the site.

Côte-des-Neiges Road (officially in French: chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges) is a street in Montreal, home to Plaza Côte-des-Neiges. It is served by Métro Côte-des-Neiges and two bus lanes. BIXI bike rental is also available. It extends from the intersection of Sherbrooke Street and Guy Street in the south to the intersection of Jean-Talon Street and Laird Boulevard in the north. Part of it follows the path of the former Raimbault Creek (now an underground collector sewer) between the two peaks of Mount Royal.It is the economic and cultural heart of the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood. Côte-des-Neiges Road features a variety of culturally diverse cuisine in its many restaurants; Québécois/Canadian, British, French Chinese, Lebanese, Vietnamese and Italian alongside many of the popular fast food franchises. Supermarkets and a farmer market also offer victuals to the local residents. Libraries and a school are also present. The proximity of the Université de Montréal generates a large student population in the neighborhood alongside the ethnically diverse population. Notable addresses as it passes over Mount Royal include the Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery and Îlot-Trafalgar-Gleneagles historic block.

Miss Edgar's and Miss Cramp's School (ECS) is an independent school for girls that is located in Westmount, Quebec. It is situated near other QAIS schools, including Selwyn House School and The Study. The school teaches students from Kindergarten up to Grade 11. The annual tuition fees for attending the school range from $19,050 to $22,160. The school also receives subsidies from the provincial government for middle and senior school, which means all students in those sections must have a certificate of eligibility allowing them to attend government-funded English schools in Quebec in accordance with Bill 101. Students without the certificate can attend the non-subsidized junior school section and qualify for the certificate after three years as long as they and any of their siblings have never previously attended a French school.

The Beaver Lake (French: Lac aux Castors) is an artificial basin fitted in 1938 on a former swamp located on the Mount Royal, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was designed by architect Frederick Todd. It takes its name from an old beaver dam discovered during the work.

Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, Westmount (French: Synagogue Emanu-El-Beth Sholom de Westmount) is a Reform synagogue in Westmount, Quebec. The syngagoue is the oldest Liberal or Reform synagogue in Canada, incorporated on March 30, 1883 (the Bill of the incorporation was granted under the Act of Incorporation (46 Victoria 1883) by the Quebec Provincial Legislature), and is the only Reform congregation in Quebec.

The Thomas More Institute (TMI) for Adult Education is a secular academic institution located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It offers a program of university level studies in the liberal arts. Affiliated with Université de Montréal at its beginning, it is now affiliated with Bishop's University to jointly deliver Bachelor of Arts degrees.

Westmount City Hall is the seat of local government in Westmount, Quebec, Canada. It is located at 4333 Sherbrooke Street West below Côte Saint Antoine Road. It was designed by architects Francis R. Findlay and Robert Findlay in the Neo-Tudor style. Its style is reminiscent of Scottish castles, with its central tower and crenelations and turrets. It was completed in 1922, with its cornerstone containing various historical documents being laid on October 14, 1922 by Mayor P.W. McLagan. It underwent a major interior renovation that was completed in 1965.

CKDG-FM is a radio station located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Owned and operated by Groupe CHCR Inc., it broadcasts on 105.1 MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 524 watts (class A). Like most FM stations, it broadcasts in stereo. CKDG's studios are located at 4865 Jean Talon Street West - Suite 224, in Montreal. It also identifies itself as MIKE FM. CKDG-FM broadcasts mainstream multicultural programming. Per its license, CKDG-FM is allowed to air up to 35% of its programming in the English and/or French languages; since May 2006, MIKE FM has broadcast an English-language Morning Drive show program (The Morning Drive) and a mainstream English Drive Home show with classic 80's hits.

The Montreal General Hospital (MGH) (French: Hôpital Général de Montréal) is a hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada was established in the years 1818-1820. The hospital received its charter in 1823. It is currently part of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and is located on Mount Royal, at the intersection of Pine Avenue (Avenue des Pins) and Côte-des-Neiges Road. It has six pavilions: A, B, C, D, E and Livingston (L); plus a research centre in a separate building next to the L pavilion. The first MGH was built at the corner of Craig Street (today St. Antoine) and St. Lawrence Boulevard and only had 24 beds. Having outgrown this space, it moved to a new 72-bed building on Dorchester Boulevard (now René-Lévesque) at St. Dominique Street; today this facility is a long-term care centre. In 1924, the hospital merged with the Western General Hospital (currently the D & E wings of the former Montreal Children's Hospital) building at the corner of Tupper Street and Atwater Avenue. It moved to its current location in 1955. The MGH has been designated by the Quebec government as one of three Level I trauma centres in the province, (the others being the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal and Hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus in Quebec City).The MGH has been affiliated with McGill since 1832 and was one of the first teaching hospitals. In 2019, Newsweek ranked the hospital 6th in Canada and 2nd in Quebec

CKIN-FM, branded on-air as Radio CINA, is an FM commercial (multilingual) radio station which operates at 106.3 MHz (FM) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Its headquarters are at 1955 Côte-de-Liesse, Saint Laurent although initially CKIN broadcast through temporary studios located on Avenue du Parc in Montreal being the facilities of CKDG, with its transmitter located atop Mount Royal. The station's multiethnic programming is primarily in Arabic, with evening blocks in Spanish, and hour-long blocks with other third languages including Assyrian, Berber, Cantonese, Italian, Hindi and Urdu.

CKLX-FM (91.9 MHz) is a French language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. Owned and operated by RNC Media, it airs a sports talk format. It is the French-language flagship station of CF Montreal of Major League Soccer. CKLX-FM's studios are located on West Laurier Avenue in the Le Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood of Montreal. Its transmitter, located atop Mount Royal, uses a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 1,780 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 4,675 watts (Class B1). It also is heard nationally on Channel 978 on the Bell Satellite TV radio station lineup.
