Tullamarine, Victoria

Electoral district of Tullamarine was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. The district centred on the suburb of Tullamarine, about 17 km north-west of Melbourne.

The Tullamarine Freeway (commonly referred to as The Tulla), is a major urban freeway in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, linking Melbourne Airport to the Melbourne City Centre. It carries up to 210,000 vehicles per day and is one of Australia's busiest freeways. The entire stretch of the Tullamarine Freeway bears the designation M2 (previously Metro Route 43 from 1989 to early 2018).

The Hangar, also known for commercial reasons as The NEC Hangar, is the training facility and headquarters of Australian rules football club the Essendon Bombers. It is located in the north-west Melbourne suburb of Melbourne Airport and was opened in 2013.

Keilor Botanic Gardens, located in Melbourne's north-west in the suburb of Keilor Park, is entirely devoted to Australian native flora. Created in 1982, it covers 10 hectares. It is managed by the City of Brimbank as part of Keilor Park Reserve and Botanic Gardens.

Gowanbrae is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 13 km (8.1 mi) north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Merri-bek local government area. Gowanbrae recorded a population of 2,971 at the 2021 census.Gowanbrae is bounded by the Western Ring Road in the north and west, the Tullamarine Freeway in the west, the Albion-Jacana railway line in the south and Moonee Ponds Creek in the east. It is the City of Merri-bek's newest suburb, with residential development started in the 1990s and continuing.

Airport West is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 12 km (7.5 mi) north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Moonee Valley local government area. Airport West recorded a population of 8,173 at the 2021 census.Bounded by the Calder Freeway to the south, the Tullamarine Freeway to the east, and the Western Ring Road to the north west, Airport West is so named for its position to the west of Essendon Airport, Melbourne's first general airport now used for light planes, charter and freight since the opening in 1970 of Melbourne Airport, located to the north of the suburb. It has the distinction of being the only locality in Australia which does not itself contain an airport to contain the word "Airport."

Strathmore Heights is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 12 km (7.5 mi) north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Moonee Valley local government area. Strathmore Heights recorded a population of 1,047 at the 2021 census.Strathmore Heights is located between Essendon Airport, the Albion–Jacana freight railway line, Moonee Ponds Creek and the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail.

Westmeadows is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 16 km (9.9 mi) north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Hume local government area. Westmeadows recorded a population of 6,502 at the 2021 census.Mainly a residential suburb, Westmeadows includes the areas east and west of Mickleham Road. It borders include Yuroke Creek between Johnstone Street and Barry Road (the eastern limit), the border with Attwood (the water pipes path parallel to Toora Drive and Linga and Kenny Streets) as well as the Moonee Ponds Creek east of Mickleham Road (the northern limits) and just before the Cleanaway Landfill (the western limit). The area north of residential Westmeadows (still part of Westmeadows) contains the east–west flight path for the Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine. The land under the flight path has been kept undeveloped and is the Broadmeadows Valley Park. It contains two streams which flow into the Moonee Ponds Creek.

Keilor Stadium is an Australian indoor arena that caters to both basketball and netball. It is located in Keilor Park, a north-western suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. From 1987 until 1990, the stadium was the home of National Basketball League team the Westside Melbourne Saints. In 2015, a AU$6.5 million refurbishment of the almost 30 year old stadium was completed with 3 extra courts being built. The new courts were officially opened on 7 December.

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (abbreviated as PEGS) is a multi-campus independent Uniting Church comprehensive co-educational early learning, primary and secondary day school, with three campuses located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school is the product of an amalgamation of two schools, Penleigh Presbyterian Ladies' College and Essendon Grammar School, which was completed in 1977. Uniforms were different for boys and girls until Term 3 2020 when a new combined school uniform was launched. The school's campuses are located in Essendon, Moonee Ponds and Keilor East. The school is a member of the Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria and competes against the other member schools in a range of sports.
