The Denver Eagle is a gay bar in Denver, Colorado, United States. It is one of many unaffiliated gay bars in dozens of different cities using the "Eagle" name. It caters primarily to the leather and bear subcultures. The original Denver Eagle was located at 1475 36th St. in the RiNo Arts district of Denver. It was known for its large gold penis shaped door handles. In April 2016 The Denver Eagle closed due to the property being bought by a developer and The Eagle losing their lease. In March 2018, a new location opened at 1246 E. 31st Ave. It closed a few months later. In 2022, new owners purchased a building at 5110 W Colfax Ave. The building was home to "The Den" a now defunct gay bar. The grand opening was held March 19-22 with the theme "The Eagle Has Landed." The Denver Eagle is one of a few black-owned gay bars in the United States.

The Bliss House in the West Colfax neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, is a Queen Anne-style house built in 1890. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as Building at 1389 Stuart Street.It is a two-and-a-half-story house designed by architects Lang & Pugh with exterior mostly covered by fishscale shingles. It has been described as "basically Queen Anne in style but with great originality of detail.... The design is complex with a combination of bays, unusual windows and a dramatic multi-planed roofline."It was home of Dr. Gerald Bliss and his second wife "for all of their married life, both dying in 1945. Dr. Bliss was a Civil War veteran and had been a member of the honor guard over Lincoln's casket. He had gone to South Dakota where he practiced medicine for many years before retiring and moving to Colorado. He lived nearly fifty years after his retirement and was 99 years old when he died."The house is a Denver Landmark. It is one of a cluster of six houses designed by Lang, five of which are surviving, that illustrate his architectural creativity.

Yeshiva Toras Chaim (YTC) is an all-male, Lithuanian (Litvish)-style Talmudic academy in the West Colfax neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. YTC was founded in Denver in 1967. It is headed by the Roshei Yeshiva, Rav Yisroel Meir Kagan, and Rav Yitzchok Wasserman, both students of Rabbi Aharon Kotler, founder and Rosh Yeshiva of Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, New Jersey. The student body is multi-state, including pupils from the East Coast.

Lamar is an at-grade light rail station on the W Line of the RTD Rail system. It is located near the intersection of West 13th Avenue and Lamar Street, after which the station is named, in Lakewood, Colorado. The station is located within Lakewood's 40 West Arts District, not far from the businesses on West Colfax Avenue and about 0.7 miles (1.1 km) from the campus of the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. The station opened on April 26, 2013, on the West Corridor, built as part of the Regional Transportation District (RTD) FasTracks public transportation expansion plan and voter-approved sales tax increase for the Denver metropolitan area.The area around Lamar station has seen transit-oriented development, including three joint housing and retail buildings.

Perry is an at-grade light rail station on the W Line of the RTD Rail system. It is located alongside the banks of the Lakewood Gulch at its intersection with Perry Street, after which the station is named, in Denver, Colorado.The station opened on April 26, 2013, on the West Corridor, built as part of the Regional Transportation District (RTD) FasTracks public transportation expansion plan and voter-approved sales tax increase for the Denver metropolitan area.Perry station is located in a residential neighborhood and has no bus connections or park and ride lot.

The lake is the central feature of Sloan's Lake Park, which is managed by the Parks and Recreation division of the City and County of Denver.

West Colfax is a neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The neighborhood is located in the West Denver area. In 2015 the population of the neighborhood was 9,120, and there were 4,055 housing units.

The City of Edgewater is a home rule municipality located in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 5,005 at the 2020 United States Census. Edgewater is surrounded by Denver to the east, Lakewood to the south and west, and Wheat Ridge to the north. The city is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor.

When the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS) opened its doors in September 1904, it had only seven patients housed in white wooden "Tucker" tents. Over the next fifty years, however, the JCRS served over 10,000 patients, more than half of those patients were from New York City. While National Jewish Health was founded earlier to also treat tuberculosis, and both were nondenominational, JCRS was established to serve the West Colfax Jewish community with an Orthodox kitchen as opposed to the more secular National Jewish Health. The campus was also home to the first synagogue in Jefferson County, Colorado. Completed in 1926, the Isaac Solomon Synagogue was the third synagogue on the JCRS campus and was actively used from 1926 until the 1950s. Since 1980, the campus has been on the National Register of Historic Places, though the original application does have several factual errors, such as confusing the 1926 synagogue with its 1911 predecessor.Among the founders of JCRS was Dr. Charles David Spivak, who led the organization from 1904, until his death in 1927. Spivak was a political refugee from Russia (modern-day Ukrain) who attended medical school in Philadelphia before moving to Denver, Colorado. He was the first editor of the Denver Jewish News (now known as the Intermountain Jewish News and the father of H. David Spivak, the first Jewish artist of note in Colorado.

The Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) is a private for-profit art school in Lakewood, Colorado. The college was founded in 1963 by Philip J. Steele, an artist and teacher.

Casa Bonita (Spanish for "pretty house") is a former chain of Mexican-themed "eatertainment" restaurants which originated in Oklahoma City. The last restaurant in the former chain is located in Lakewood, Colorado, at the JCRS (Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society)) Shopping Center, now known as the Lamar Station Plaza. The building is currently open for tours only, as the State of Colorado ordered all restaurants in the state to close, begining March 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
