St. Michael the Archangel is a Roman Catholic church located at 3114 Scranton Road in the Tremont neighborhood on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. The church is named in honor of St. Michael the Archangel and was completed in 1892. The congregation was founded in 1881 as a mission of Ohio City, Cleveland's St. Mary's on-the-Flats to serve a growing German immigrant population on Cleveland's west side. The original church and school building were constructed in 1883 but burned on June 29, 1891, while the new building was under construction. The current church, which had its cornerstone laid in 1889, was completed five years ahead of schedule in 1892. The church building is considered a good example of High Victorian Gothic architecture with its two towers of unequal height, the taller of which rises 232 feet (71 m), and three archways. An architecturally notable school adjacent to the church began construction in 1906 and was completed in 1907. For many years the church was one of the most costly and artistically notable churches in the Cleveland Diocese. The church congregation reached its peak size in the 1950, when only 25% of the parishioners were of German descent. The first Spanish Mass was said in 1971 for the growing number of Hispanic parishioners. The congregation now is mostly Latin American. The church now offers Masses in both English and Spanish. An annual Good Friday Procession begins or ends at St. Michael's. St Michael's and La Sagrada Familia church alternate every year to begin or end at one of the two churches. There is a stop at St Patrick's on Bridge Avenue to hear the first part of Mass before continuing on the journey to either St Michael's or La Sagrada Familia. The parish has become a center of Hispanic culture in Cleveland.

Lincoln-West High School (L-W) is a high school located in Cleveland, in the U.S. state of Ohio and part of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The school's name is a by-product of the merger between Cleveland's Lincoln High School and West High School. The current school building was built in 1970. Lincoln-West has a large multicultural and multilingual population including over 41 nationalities and 25 languages. First generation Americans and immigrants represented at the academy include: Puerto Rican, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Mexican, Dominican, Chinese, Albanian, Nepali, Arabic, Urdu, Vietnamese, Laotian/Thai, African, Polish and Croatian. Originally, the school district was divided into the East and West Senate Conferences with L-W sports teams playing in the West. In the late 1970s, the CMSD reorganized the conferences into the North and South Senate Conferences with L-W in the North Senate. The Lincoln-West mascot and nickname is the Wolverines and the school colors are red, white and blue.

Pilgrim Congregational Church is a historic congregation of the United Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Constructed in the 1890s for a congregation founded in the 1850s, it was named a historic site in the 1970s. Congregationalists began operating a Sunday school in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood in 1854, and their efforts resulted in the creation of a church five years later. The members began construction of their first church building in 1865, although it was not completed until 1870. It was suitable for the congregation's needs for only a short time, as construction on the present building was started just 23 years after the first building was finished. The name "Pilgrim Congregational Church" was adopted in 1894 upon the completion of the present building; they had been styled "Heights Congregational Church" into the 1870s and used the name "Jennings Avenue Congregational Church" in the 1880s. The building was a community landmark from its earliest years — electric wiring was included in the original construction at a time when no other Cleveland buildings west of the Cuyahoga River had electricity.Designed by prominent Cleveland architect Sidney Badgley, Pilgrim Congregational cost approximately $150,000 to complete. It is a generally square building typical of the Richardsonian Romanesque style, distinguished by exterior elements such as prominent rose windows on the northern and eastern sides. At the time of construction, the church was deeply involved in social programs in the community; rooms such as recreation space for young men, a library, and a gymnasium take up two-thirds of the building. The tallest section of the church is a square corner tower with a pointed roof; tall arched windows occupy much of its height, with circular windows and a belfry between the arched windows and the top of the tower. The main entrance also is through an arch, placed at the top of a wide flight of stairs.In 1976, Pilgrim Congregational Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying both because of its place in local history and because of its historically significant architecture, which when completed was called an "epoch-making church building"; just four years after the building was erected, the plans had been used as an example of the latest ecclesiastical architecture at the Paris Exhibition at the turn of the century. It was one of twenty Cuyahoga County locations added to the Register in 1976.

The Monroe Street Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at 3207 Monroe Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. It was designated a historic landmark by the City of Cleveland Landmarks Commission in 1973.

Tremont is a neighborhood on the West Side of Cleveland, Ohio. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the district sits just south of the Ohio City neighborhood. It is bounded by the Cuyahoga Valley to the north and east, MetroHealth medical center to the south, and West 25th Street and Columbus Road to the west.Tremont is one of Cleveland's oldest neighborhoods, and was historically home to many immigrant groups, including Germans, Greeks, and East Slavs. It has numerous historic churches including Pilgrim Congregational UCC (founded in 1859), St. Augustine (1893), St. John Cantius (1898), and St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Cathedral (1912). The neighborhood has seen significant growth in recent decades and is today home to many restaurants and art galleries.

The Ukrainian Museum-Archives (UMA), founded in 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, is a museum dedicated to collecting literature, recordings, artifacts and other items that represent Ukrainian culture, Ukrainian immigration to America, and the history of Ukrainians in Cleveland. It is located at 1202 Kenilworth Avenue. With over 20,000 books, 1,000 different newspapers and magazines, 2,000 78 rpms and LP records and tens of thousands of posters, postcards, stamps, etc., Cleveland's Ukrainian archives are one of the largest archives in North America. The UMA holds frequent art exhibitions and also has online exhibitions, which can be viewed on their website.

A Christmas Story House is an attraction and museum in Cleveland, Ohio's Tremont neighborhood. The 19th-century Victorian, which was used in the exterior and some interior scenes of Ralphie Parker's house in the 1983 film A Christmas Story, was purchased by a private developer in 2004 and has been restored and renovated to appear as it did both inside and outside in the film. The museum is part of a complex of four buildings devoted to the film, and is open to the public year-round.

Founded in 1837 as City Hospital, The MetroHealth System serves the residents of the city of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. It is one of the three major health care systems in Cleveland, Ohio, along with Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals of Cleveland. The system provides care at four hospitals, more than 20 health centers and 40 additional sites throughout Cuyahoga County. As of December 2018, it had more than 7,700 employees. The system is the 10th largest employer in Northeast Ohio.MetroHealth is a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. It offers the only adult and pediatric burn center in the state of Ohio.In 1982, MetroHealth established its Metro Life Flight air ambulance service. Metro Life Flight has completed more than 90,000 medical missions, all safely. This air ambulance service is internationally known and has trained crews from Poland to Japan. It uses a fleet of three EC-145 helicopters for its air ambulance service.

West 25th–Ohio City is a station on the RTA Red Line in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. It is located at the intersection of West 24th Street, Abbey Avenue and Lorain Avenue (Ohio State Route 10), diagonally across Lorain Avenue from the West Side Market.

Trinity Lutheran Church was founded in 1853 when a few members of Zion Lutheran Church in Cleveland, Ohio, decided to start a new congregation. Reverend J. C. Lindemann was the first pastor at Trinity. The current building used for worship was built in 1873 at the corner of Lorain Avenue and West 30th Street.In 1956, the church became well known because of the Beckerath organ installed in that year. The organ was built in Hamburg, Germany, by Rudolf von Beckerath, a famous organ builder. It was the first "modern, encased mechanical-action instrument with traditional classical voicing" to be installed in America.Trinity is a member of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.

The West Side Market is the oldest operating indoor/outdoor market space in Cleveland, Ohio. It is located at the corner of West 25th Street and Lorain Avenue in the Ohio City neighborhood. On December 18, 1973, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Great Lakes Brewing Company is a brewery and brewpub in Cleveland, Ohio. The first brewpub and microbrewery in the state, Great Lakes Brewing has been noted as important to Cleveland's local identity and as one of the initial forces behind the revival of the Ohio City neighborhood on the near West Side. In 2015, it was the 21st-largest craft brewery by volume and the 28th-largest overall brewery in the United States. The company was established in 1988 by brothers Patrick and Daniel Conway, both St. Edward High School graduates, in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood, located near St. Ignatius High School and the West Side Market. The brewpub and restaurant remain in their original locations, while production has expanded to adjacent properties. The present site allows visitors to enjoy a glass of beer in the original brewpub which features a Tiger Mahogany bar from the 1860s, a Beer Cellar and the Rockefeller Room, named after Standard Oil founder and Clevelander John D. Rockefeller, who was thought to have worked in the building. There is a gift shop selling beer, along with apparel and barware. Tours are available on the weekends. Since its inception, Great Lakes has also served as an incubator for Northeast Ohio brewers, with brewmasters at nearby Market Garden and Goldhorn Brewery in the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood both being alumni of Great Lakes.On September 10, 2021, GLBC announced the forthcoming launch of a line of hard seltzer under the brand Agave Twist Ranch Water, released in northern Ohio in October 2021 and scheduled for release throughout the rest of GLBC's distribution footprint in 2022.
