Duquesne Baseball Field is a baseball field located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, in the borough of Green Tree. The field was home to the Duquesne Dukes baseball team, which used to compete in the Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. However, the baseball program was discontinued due to budget cuts after the 2010 season. The facility was opened for the 1996 season after construction was completed in fall 1995. Along with the field, the facility features batting cages and permanent seating behind home plate.

The Old Stone Tavern (also called Elliott's, Coates Tavern, and the Old Stone Inn) is a historic building located at 434 Greentree Road, block and number 19-S-156, in the West End Village neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Tavern dates back to at least 1782, and more likely 1777.

Lowen-Shaffer House located at 311 Lowenhill Street in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built circa 1850. John Lowen was the builder and original owner of this Carpenter Gothic style house. It was added to the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on February 10, 1992.

Canton Avenue is a street in Pittsburgh's Beechview neighborhood which is the steepest officially recorded public street in the United States.Canton Avenue is 630 ft (190 m) long (the hill is about 213 feet long) and is claimed to include a 37% grade 21 feet (6.4 m) long. The Guinness Book of World Records says Baldwin Street, in Dunedin, New Zealand, is the world's steepest street with a gradient of 34.8%. This record is disputed; Pittsburgh news and international media have claimed Canton Avenue is the steepest street in the world. The United States record is also disputed, as Bradford Street in San Francisco includes a 39% grade nine meters long and Waipio Valley Road has sections as steep as a 45% grade. The National Map says the steep 213 feet of Canton Avenue averages less than 30%. The map's elevations can be off by a foot or two; probably Pennsylvania's LIDAR surveys done in the last few years can do better. Google Earth says the street averages 29% for 212 feet. In March 2016 Canton Avenue was the subject of a commercial, featuring freeskier Bene Mayr, snowboarder Heikki Sorsa, downhill mountain biker Aaron Gwin, and racing driver Mattias Ekström for the Audi Quattro A4 automobile.

Green Tree is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, and a suburb of Pittsburgh. The population was 4,432 at the 2010 census.The town is the hometown of U.S. Congressman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul and Star Trek/Heroes star Zachary Quinto, both of whom were born in nearby Pittsburgh. Green Tree is connected to Pittsburgh via the Fort Pitt Tunnel.

The T travels along former streetcar tracks on Broadway Avenue through the area. The inbound stop is located on a small island platform in the middle of the road, while the outbound stop is just a sign, with no platform. The station serves a densely populated residential area and also the neighborhood's small but crowded business district. It is located in an area where bus service is limited because of the hilly terrain.

The West End Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, located at 47 Wabash Street in the West End neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, opened on January 31, 1899. It was originally commissioned as part of Andrew Carnegie's first grant to Pittsburgh and was the third library in the Pittsburgh city system to open, following the Main Branch and the Lawrenceville Branch. It was the eighth Carnegie funded library to open in America and only the second to have the new revolutionary policy of open or self-service shelves. The first with open shelves was Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville Branch, the sixth Carnegie library to open in America. The first five libraries to open in America, as well as the seventh, Carnegie Library of Homestead, were originally closed stack libraries where a clerk was used to fetch books for the patrons. The West End Branch was added to the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on July 28, 2004.

Fallowfield is a station on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network, located in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The high level stop is located at the end of Broadway Avenue, built where the tracks transition from a street to a private right-of-way. The station serves a densely populated residential area through which bus service is limited because of the hilly terrain. Although a high level stop there is no fare booth, as such passengers must board or alight from the first car of a two car train.

The Beechwood Elementary School is a midsized, urban, public school located in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The building was built in 1908. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The school provides taxpayer funded preschool through 5th grade. Enrollment was 333 in 2018. The school is part of the Pittsburgh School District.

Bigham House located at 655 Pennridge Road in Chatham Village, in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1849. This was the former house of abolitionist lawyer Thomas James Bigham (1810-1884), and was "purportedly a station on the Underground Railroad." These days, this Classical Revival house is part of Chatham Village and is used as a community clubhouse known as Chatham Hall. Chatham Village is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Landmark District, and this house was individually added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1990.Bigham, known as "the Sage of Mt. Washington," served for many years as representative and senator in the Pennsylvania legislature. Also a newspaperman, he headed for a time the Commercial Journal and helped found the Pittsburgh Commercial.

Coast was a station on the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network, located in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The street level stop was located on a small island platform in the middle of Broadway Avenue, through which The T traveled along former streetcar tracks. The station served a densely populated residential area through which bus service was limited because of the hilly terrain. Coast was one of eleven stops closed on June 25, 2012 as part of a system-wide consolidation effort.
