Rümlang railway station

Rümlang is a municipality in the district of Dielsdorf in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland, and belongs to the Glatt Valley (German: Glattal). Zurich Airport is partially located in Rümlang.

Zürich Airport (IATA: ZRH, ICAO: LSZH) is the largest international airport of Switzerland and the principal hub of Swiss International Air Lines. The Zurich Airport Skymetro is an underground airport people mover at Zurich Airport in Switzerland. The 1.1 km (0.68 mi) long system connects the airport's main Airside Center, Gates A, B and D with its mid-field Gates E, passing underneath Runway 10/28. The line opened on 1st September 2003, and was constructed by the Otis Elevator Company.As of 2010, Skymetro was carrying 6.73 million passengers per year, and is claimed to be the most used cable way in Switzerland. With a cost of 176 million Swiss francs it is also the most expensive cable car system and one of the most complex with high safety standards.The tunnels of the Skymetro were equipped with Zoetrope-like films displayed on the sides which ran from 2006 to 2019, with each film consisting of a series of still frames in rapid succession, accompanied by matching sound effects played over the vehicles' public address system. Various films have been shown, including ones based around the fictional character Heidi and the Matterhorn mountain. However, these films are no longer displayed since 2013. Instead, two new films have been made for the system. The first of the two new films has shown a mid-aged woman (holding a crossbow), and her younger son (holding an apple) appeared from late 2013 to 2019, while the other replacement film shows a man waving the flag of Switzerland. However, for the first time since 2005, as of July 2019, the Zoetrope-like films have been removed.On the 30th of January 2020 they implemented a new voice and film which is shown on 432 vertical pixel rows outside the skymetro. The technology was made by Adtrackmedia.

District 11 is the most northern and the most populous district in the Swiss city of Zürich. The district comprises the quarters Affoltern, Oerlikon and Seebach. All three were formerly municipalities in their own right, but were incorporated into Zürich in 1934.

Glattbrugg railway station (German: Bahnhof Glattbrugg) is a railway station in Switzerland, in the Glattbrugg area of the municipality of Opfikon. The station is located on the main line of the Oerlikon–Bülach line and is an interchange point between the Zürich S-Bahn and the Stadtbahn Glattal light rail system.The station is served by S-Bahn lines S3, S9 and S15, and by Zürich tram routes 10 and 12, operating on behalf of the Stadtbahn Glattal. Glattbrugg station is some 250 metres (820 ft) walk from Opfikon station on S-Bahn line S7.A large rail-served fuel depot is located to the west of the station, which is used to handle aviation fuel supplies to the nearby Zurich International Airport.

Zürich Seebach (German: Zürich Seebach) is a railway station in the Seebach quarter of the Swiss city of Zürich. It is located on the Wettingen–Effretikon railway line (Furttal line).

Opfikon is a railway station in Switzerland, in the municipality of Opfikon. The station is served by Zürich S-Bahn line S7. Opfikon station is some 250 metres (820 ft) walk from Glattbrugg station on S-Bahn line S5 and the Stadtbahn Glattal.The Opfikon station has a single central platform, which is flanked by two tracks. The two through tracks of the Zürich Airport station branch of the Zürich to Winterthur line run parallel to the platform, but are not connected to the platform tracks in the vicinity of the station.The station is situated on the Wettingen–Effretikon line, originally opened by the Swiss National Railway (Schweizerische Nationalbahn; SNB) in 1877 and bypassing Zürich. However the passenger trains that stop at the station all operate from Zürich, using a connection from Zürich Oerlikon station opened in 1881. The station area was heavily modified in 1978, when the airport branch and its through tracks were added.

The Wahlenpark is a public park in New Oerlikon in the northern part of Zurich. The park covers 139,931 ft². It was created in 2005 as part of the regional development "Zentrum Zürich Nord", as the last of four parks. The architects envisaged a multi-functional space for play and movement to be used by local residents and young people from the nearby school.

Opfikon (German pronunciation: [ˈɔpfikoːn]; in the local Swiss German dialect: [ˈopfikxə]) is the name of a municipality in the Swiss canton of Zürich, located in the district of Bülach.
