Radford College is an independent school, Anglican, coeducational day school, located in Bruce, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Founded in 1984, the college is named after Bishop Lewis Bostock Radford. It has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for over 2,100 students from pre-kindergarten to Year 12.

Aranda () is a suburb in the district of Belconnen, in the Australian capital city of Canberra. Located at the western foot of Black Mountain and bounded on two sides by nature park, the suburb is characterised by its bush setting. During the planning and development of the suburb, a large proportion of large native trees – predominantly eucalypts – were left in place. The suburb derives its name from the Arrernte tribe of Central Australia, previously known as Arunta, which means 'White Cockatoo'. The streets in Aranda are named after Aboriginal tribal groups from around Australia. The suburb comprises an area of 160ha and in 1967 was the first suburb in Belconnen to be settled. A small plaque at the Aranda District playing fields near the suspension bridge over Belconnen Way marks the settlement of the suburb as the first development in the Belconnen district. AIS Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Canberra, Australia. Its capacity is 5,200 and it was built in 1980. The arena was opened by the Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Fraser, on 26 January 1981 and was originally named the National Indoor Sports Centre and was the inaugural home of the Australian Institute of Sport.

Canberra Stadium (also known as GIO Stadium Canberra under naming rights) is a facility primarily used for rugby league and rugby union games, located adjacent to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, the capital of Australia. It is the largest sports venue by capacity in Canberra.

The National Sports Information Centre (NSIC) aims to contribute to the achievement of the Australian Sports Commission's objectives by enabling access to sports and related information and services. More than just a library, it is Australia's premier information resource centre for sport and its related disciplines. The NSIC is funded by the Australian Sports Commission and is housed in the Corporate Services Building of the Australian Sports Commission at the Australian Institute of Sport campus in Canberra. The centre was established in 1982 as the Australian Institute of Sport Information Centre. The centre was renamed the National Sport Information Centre in 1989, reflecting the merging of the AIS with the Australian Sports Commission in 1987, with funds allocated in the 1988/89 Federal budget to expand the centre.The centre supports sport and recreation organisations, with its collection available to the public, teachers, coaches, researchers and athletes. The collection at NSIC includes online and print resources, which is one of the most comprehensive information collections of its type in the world.

The University of Canberra (UC) is a public research university with its main campus located in Bruce, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. The campus is within walking distance of Westfield Belconnen, and 8.7 km (5.4 mi) from Canberra's Civic Centre. UC offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering five faculties: Health, Art and Design, Business, Government and Law, Education, and Science and Technology. Emu Ridge is bounded by Benjamin Way, College Street, Eastern Valley Way and Belconnen Way; Hennessy Street and Condell Street are the two main thoroughfares, with many cul-de-sacs off these.

The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) is a high performance sports training institution in Australia. The institute's 66-hectare (163-acre) headquarters were opened in 1981 and are situated in the northern suburb of Bruce, Canberra. The AIS is a division of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), part of the Australian Government under the Department of Health and Aged Care.

The National Centre for Australian Children's Literature Inc, formerly known as the Lu Rees Archives, is a not-for-profit study and research centre housed at the University of Canberra. The founding donation was by Lu Rees. Its director in 2018 was Dr Belle Alderman who is an Emeritus Professor of Children's Literature.

The University of Canberra Library is the principal Library of the University of Canberra, located in Bruce, Australian Capital Territory. The Library is located in Building 8, University main campus.

87.8 UCFM (ACMA callsign: 1A12) is an independent student radio station transmitting from the campus of the University of Canberra. It broadcasts a professionally consulted College Radio niche music format – 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a mix of news and current affairs. The radio station's studios are located within the lower level of "The Hub" complex on the university's Bruce campus, in Australia's capital city – Canberra. UCFM transmits on FM 87.8 MHz across the District of Belconnen and North Canberra. It also streams its on-air program continuously online through links located on its website, Facebook page and TuneIn. Launched in 1994 as CUE FM by the University of Canberra Union (UCU) – the original broadcast licence holder – all controlling interests (including the licence) have since been passed to the current UCFM Board. As an autonomous, non-academic student service, UCFM is therefore not listed as a university club or society. It receives no funding from either the UCU, nor the University of Canberra and covers operating costs by broadcasting a minimal amount of non-intrusive advertising, permitted under its licence conditions, as well as sponsorship, donations and membership fees. 87.8 UCFM positions itself on-air as "Canberra's Alternative" taking pride in its point of difference programming to its 18 to 40-year-old listeners with a non-stop, blend of Top 40 Pop/ Indie / Alternative music. The station is a registered non-profit association overseen by its board, management team and a dedicated group of student and alumni volunteer members. Past and present UC students may become members of UCFM and can then be involved in all areas of the radio station, including as on-air presenters of its music format. One of its main purposes on campus is as a learning tool for students to assists members to make the important step from study into a professional media career post graduation. In recent years UCFM volunteers, many with considerable radio industry experience have totally rebuilt the station's studios, transmitting equipment and on-air content extending its popularity to include many Canberra listeners outside the university, and online. External listeners, not associated with the university also have the ability to become UCFM 'Supporter' members. On 10 August 2014, UCFM celebrated its 20th year of broadcasting.
