Bonnington is a district of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The area centres upon an original village which grew up around a ford on the Water of Leith on the old boundary between Edinburgh and the port of Leith. Before the creation of Leith Walk the road via the villages of Broughton and Bonnington, or Wester Road as it appears on some old maps, was one of two roads formerly connecting Edinburgh to Leith; the other being Easter Road. The district lies between the districts of Pilrig and Newhaven.

The Leith Community Treatment Centre is a community hospital in Junction Place, Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. It is managed by NHS Lothian.

Leith Hospital was situated on Mill Lane in Leith, Edinburgh, and was a general hospital with adult medical and surgical wards, paediatric medical and surgical wards, a casualty department and a wide range of out-patient services. It closed in 1987.

Junction Road railway station served the district of Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland from 1869 to 1947 on the Edinburgh, Leith and Granton Line of the North British Railway.

Great Junction Street is a street in Leith, on the northern outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland. It runs southeast to northwest following approximately the southwestmost line of the old town walls around Leith.

Leith Library is one of Edinburgh's 28 freely-accessible libraries. It is a category B listed building. located in Leith, in the northern part of the city, at the foot of Ferry Road shortly before it meets Great Junction Street and North Junction Street. The stone marking the first phase of construction was laid by the then Lord Provost, Alexander Stevenson in 1929. It was designed by Bradshaw Gass & Hope and opened in 1932. The building suffered bomb damage in 1941 but was subsequently restored and re-opened in 1955.The library is currently open six days a week and, in addition to the collection of books, offers visitors computer access, a for-hire community room, public exhibition space, a knitting group and a weekly children's crafts class/workshop.Local-area MSP Ben Macpherson also host surgeries within the library, and the local registrar's office adjoins the main library building. To the building's rear is the Leith Theatre.As with all of the City's libraries, Leith public library uses the Library of Congress Classification system for its adult collection. As of 1974, Edinburgh is the only area in the UK where public libraries utilise the US classification scheme. Children's books, and some non-English works, are indexed using the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme.

Dr Bell's School is a building located at 101 Great Junction Street, Leith, Scotland. The building was named after Scottish educationalist Andrew Bell (1753–1832), and is a Category B listed building of historical importance.

Leith School of Art (LSA) is an independent art college in Edinburgh, Scotland, providing tertiary education in art and design. LSA is located in the Leith area of Edinburgh, in the former converted Norwegian Seamen's Church, originally built by Scottish architect James Simpson and Danish architect Johan Schroder in 1868.LSA was founded by Mark and Charlotte Cheverton. It was founded in 1988 or 1989 with the aim: " ... to create a school with a vital artistic life emphasising both tradition and innovation, to produce work of distinctive quality and character." LSA has always been based in the former Norwegian Seamen's Church in Leith. Studios are set out on three levels in the main church building, with additional studio and lecture space in the former church hall at the rear of the main building. In 1999 a modern extension was built around three sides of the former church, adding further studio space, a small library and entrance hall.

Leith Theatre (also known as Leith Town Hall and alternatively, in 1975 and 1976, Citadel Theatre) is a theatre located on Ferry Road in Edinburgh, Scotland. It opened in 1932 and ceased operation in 1988. Following the efforts of Leith Theatre Trust, fundraising and campaigning is currently underway to support Leith Theatre's redevelopment and eventual full reopening as an arts and community venue.

Pilrig is an area of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The name probably derives from the long field (rig) on which a peel tower (pil/peel) stood. There is evidence of a peel tower situated on an area of higher ground above the Water of Leith. Pilrig lies midway between Leith and Edinburgh, west of Leith Walk. It is split by Pilrig Street, which marks the division between the EH6 and EH7 postcode districts (also the old division between Edinburgh and Leith hence the name of the bar opposite being originally the Boundary Bar, then City Limits and now known simply as "the Boundary"). Along the north-east side of Pilrig Street lies Pilrig Park, within which is Pilrig House, the heart of the former estate of the Balfour family. The 19th-century Rosebank Cemetery is located at the west end of Pilrig Street, at the junction of Broughton Road.

Rhubaba Gallery and Studios (established 2009) is an artist-run gallery and studios in Edinburgh, Scotland, co-founded by Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) graduates Frances Stacey, Rachel Adams, Tom Nolan, Catherine Payton and Claire Davies. They provide studio spaces for artists and practitioners alongside an annual changing programme of exhibitions and events. Rhubaba is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, charity number SC043963 and most recently received Open Project funding from Creative Scotland in 2016 and 2015.

Rosebank Cemetery is a 19th-century cemetery in Edinburgh. It is located at the junction of Pilrig Street and Broughton Road in the Pilrig area, close to the historical boundary of Leith. The cemetery is protected as a category C listed building.
