The Redwood Empire Ice Arena (commonly known as Snoopy's Home Ice) is an indoor ice rink in Santa Rosa, California, United States. It was owned and built by Peanuts cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, and it opened on April 28, 1969. It was originally conceived, designed, and operated by his first wife Joyce Schulz.The Arena offers public skating, private ice time, figure skating, junior hockey, and adult hockey. It is also host to the annual Snoopy's Senior World Hockey Tournament, in which 64-70 senior teams from all over the world come to Santa Rosa for a week-long hockey tournament in the summer. The arena has about 500 permanent seats for hockey games, but this can be expanded to 3,000 seats for concerts and other events. The arena is also home to the junior hockey Santa Rosa Flyers, the Cardinal Newman High School hockey team, and the Santa Rosa Figure Skating Club. The Arena, located just down the street from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, features The Warm Puppy Café, which serves cafe drinks and meals. Across the parking lot from the Arena is Snoopy's Gallery and Gift Shop where people can buy Peanuts-related products as well as figure skating and hockey equipment. In the summer of 2019, the ice rink was closed and underwent renovations for the first time since the arena opened a half-century earlier. The rink re-opened in November. The ice arena is also the home of the Santa Rosa Growlers, a new Senior A team in the Mountain West Hockey League.

The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center is a museum dedicated to the works of Charles M. Schulz, creator of the Peanuts comic strip. The museum opened on August 17, 2002, two years after Schulz died, and is in Santa Rosa, California. The museum is home to many of the original Peanuts strips, as well as other artwork by Schulz. Two works by Japanese artist Yoshiteru Otani dominate the Great Hall: a 3.5-ton wood sculpture depicting the evolution of Snoopy and a 22 ft (6.7 m)-high ceramic mural made of 3,588 Peanuts strips which combine to form the image of Lucy van Pelt holding the football for Charlie Brown to kick it. Among the museum's permanent exhibits are a work by Christo which depicts Snoopy's doghouse wrapped, an exhibition of foreign language editions of Peanuts books, Schulz's personal studio and tributes to Schulz from other artists. Inside the museum are three rotating galleries with exhibits that change every year. The museum is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Santa Rosa North station (known as Santa Rosa–Guerneville Road during planning) is a Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit train station in Santa Rosa. It opened to preview service on July 1, 2017; full commuter service commenced on August 25, 2017. The station is located on Guerneville Road 0.3 miles (0.5 km) west of the Coddingtown Mall. The station closed October 28–31, 2019 due to the loss of power at crossings due to shutoffs.

Empire College School of Law, part of Empire College and founded in 1973, is a four-year evening law school program approved by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. As an evening-only law school, the School of Law is not accredited by the American Bar Association. As a result, graduates are generally only eligible to take the bar and practice law in California. Empire Law School's professors are practicing attorneys and judges from the North Bay area who teach in their specialty areas. Empire graduates comprise approximately 25 percent of the Sonoma County Bar and include members of the judiciary in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Merced, Lassen, Lake, and Calaveras counties.Following a year of construction, the college opened its new campus in January 2000 which includes, as tenants, two California superior courts for the County of Sonoma at which civil cases are conducted. Moot Court and Trial Practice classes are held in the courtrooms. In the 2000 Roger J. Traynor California Appellate Moot Court Competition, the Empire College Moot Court Team won first place in both The California Academy of Appellate Lawyers Award for Best Brief and The Bernard E. Witkin Award for Excellence In Appellate Advocacy. In 2018, Empire's team won first place in oral argument at the competition, with both of their team members ranked among the top oralists.In July, 2022, Empire reached an agreement, approved by the State Bar of California Committee of Bar Examiners to become a branch of the Monterey College of Law, pursuant to which it would transition from a for-profit, approved law school, to a non-profit, approved branch of Monterey, while retaining the Empire name.

Empire College is a private for-profit college in Santa Rosa, California. Founded in 1961, The college offers business and law degrees and was formerly accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). However, in 2016 the United States Secretary of Education denied ACICS's accrediting status for failing to meet 21 recognition criteria. It is accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. In February 2020, the school announced that it was closing its School of Business over the next 18 months, citing lower enrollment that was worsened by three years of wildfires.

Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is a public community college in Santa Rosa, California with an additional campus in Petaluma and centers in surrounding Sonoma County. Santa Rosa Junior College was modeled as a feeder school for the University of California system (a "junior" version of nearby University of California, Berkeley, with the Bear Cub mascot modeled after Oski). SRJC is operated by the Sonoma County Community College District.

Santa Rosa High School (SRHS) is a secondary school located in Santa Rosa, California. It is part of the Santa Rosa City High School District, which is itself part of Santa Rosa City Schools. Santa Rosa High School has 1,991 students as of the 2017-2018 school year.

The De Turk Round Barn in Santa Rosa, California, United States, was a round barn that was built in 1891 by Santa Rosa Winery owner De Turk. It was used for his champion trotter horses until his death in 1896. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It was significant as one of very few round or polygonal barns surviving in Northern California.

The Museum of Sonoma County, commonly known as the Sonoma County Museum, is a non-profit organization located in downtown Santa Rosa, California. Its 7th St. campus comprises the historic 1910 Santa Rosa Post Office, a contemporary art gallery, and a sculpture garden. Between the two buildings, the Museum presents 10-12 rotating exhibitions per year and maintains a permanent collection of over 18,000 objects that document the region's rich history and celebrate local artists. The historic post office is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rancho Llano de Santa Rosa was a 13,316-acre (53.89 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Sonoma County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Joaquín Carrillo. The name means "Plains of Santa Rosa". The grant was west of Santa Rosa along the Laguna de Santa Rosa and encompassed present-day Sebastopol, California.

The Moonlight Brewing Company is a brewery founded in 1992 by Brian Hunt in Santa Rosa, California, USA. It is best known for its flagship beers, Death & Taxes Black Beer and Reality Czeck-style Pilsner, which are popular in Sonoma County, California. In 2008, it received the Best Brewery award at the 17th annual Santa Rosa Beerfest.

Santa Rosa Downtown station (known as Santa Rosa–Railroad Square during planning) is a Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit train station in Santa Rosa. It opened to SMART preview service on July 1, 2017; full commuter service commenced on August 25, 2017. It is located west of Wilson Street between 4th and 5th Streets, across the U.S. Route 101 freeway from downtown at the site of the ex-Northwestern Pacific Railroad station building. The station is the focal point of the Railroad Square Historic District, a National Register of Historic Places historic district designated in 1979.
