Gulustan Palace (Azerbaijani: Gülüstan sarayı), known as Gulustan Wedding Palace Complex during the Soviet era, is the main state convention center of the Azerbaijani government. It is located on Baku's highland, on Istiglaliyyat Street overlooking the whole city of Baku and Baku Bay. The palace serves as an official facility for governmental and non-governmental organizations holding various types of formal events. It is notable for having hosted important events such as significant oil and gas contracts, international and state conferences.

Ganjlik (Azerbaijani: Gənclik) is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 6 November 1967. There is also a direct exit from the metro station to the Ganjlik shopping mall.

Inshaatchilar (Azerbaijani: İnşaatçılar, pronounced [inʃɑ.ɑt͡ʃːɯˈɫɑɾ]) is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 31 December 1985. The station is located in Yasamal district under Abbas Mirza Narifzade Street. Its length is 6.4 km.

Memar Ajami (Azerbaijani: Memar Əcəmi) is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 31 December 1985. It was formerly called Mikrorayon and is named after Ajami Nakhchivani. It became a transfer station to the Purple Line on 19 April 2016.

20 Yanvar (English: 20 January) is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 31 December 1985. It was formerly called XI Red Army Square (Azerbaijani: XI Qızıl Ordu Meydanı).

Nasimi (Azerbaijani: Nəsimi) is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 9 October 2008. It is named after Imadaddin Nasimi.

Khojasan (Azerbaijani: Xocəsən) is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 23 December 2022.

Sahil is a village and municipality in the Garadagh raion of Baku, Azerbaijan. It had a population of 8,100 in 1974 and currently has a population of 23,900.

Hazi Aslanov is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 10 December 2002 and named after Hazi Aslanov.

Ahmedli is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 28 April 1989.The length of the station is 3.1 km . For 23 years until 2002, until the Azi Aslanov station was opened, it was the terminus of the red line of the metro. It was built under the supervision of architects L. Kochubey and L. Avramenko. The floor of the station is covered with slabs of gray granite. Two white marble strips are laid out in the middle of it. The columns that support the arches of the structure resemble minarets. The pillars, as well as the floor, are lined with granite and marble slabs. The ceiling of the Akhmetly station is made of concrete beams covered with white enamel.

On 2 March 2018, a fire broke out at the Republican Narcological Dispensary in Baku, Azerbaijan, a drug rehabilitation facility for patients with opiate addiction. Around 200 people including patients and members of the clinic staff had to be evacuated from the area, while 34 had to be rescued from the blazing building. At least 26 people died, and another four were hospitalized. Although the fire was initially blamed on faulty wiring, it later emerged that the fire had actually started when a patient tried to commit suicide by self-immolation. The individual had second thoughts and tossed his burning blanket into the wooden ward, igniting the early morning inferno. Two days after the incident the authorities arrested former patient Mahammad Mammadov and charged him with murder and arson, among other crimes. Civil rights activists blamed government corruption for lax fire safety measures in the facility that may have led to the accident. In the aftermath, President Ilham Aliyev created a commission to investigate the underlying causes of the accident and announced plans to build a fully equipped rehabilitation centre nearby.

Garadagh (Azerbaijani: Qaradağ) is a settlement and raion in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 128 717.
