Birkigt (Freital)

The Wiederitz is a river of Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Weißeritz, which it joins in Freital.

Freital-Potschappel station is a station on the Dresden–Werdau railway in the district of Potschappel of the municipality of Freital in the German state of Saxony. From 1884 to 1972, the station was the starting point of the 750 mm gauge Freital-Potschappel–Nossen railway. Today, Freital-Potschappel serves in particular as an access point to line S3 of the Dresden S-Bahn.

The Döhlen Basin (German: Döhlener Becken) is a landscape unit in the German federal state of Saxony, southwest of Dresden. The Döhlen Basin has a length of 22 km and a width of 6 km and lies within the district of Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge.

Gorbitz is an area in south-west Dresden, Germany. It is part of the Stadtbezirk Cotta, and is subdivided into three Stadtteile: Gorbitz-Nord/Neu-Omsewitz, Gorbitz-Ost and Gorbitz-Sud. Gorbitz is the largest Plattenbau area of Dresden, but still smaller than large Plattenbau-settlements like Grunau quarter in Leipzig and planned city of Halle-Neustadt.

Bannewitz is a municipality in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district, in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It is situated 7 km (4 mi) south of Dresden (centre).

The Hammerbach is a river of Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Wiederitz, which it joins near Freital.

The Zionskirche is the name given to two Evangelical Lutheran church buildings in the Südvorstadt district of Dresden. The first, the Alte Zionskirche, was built by Schilling & Graebner from 1908 to 1912. This building was hit and badly damaged by fire during the bombing in February 1945. A temporary roof was later added and it is now preserved as a ruin, housing a lapidarium with 3000 sculptures. The parish, meanwhile, was housed in a barracks next to the ruins until the first stone of a new building, the Neue Zionskirche, was laid on Bayreuther Straße on 5 June 1981, as a gift from the Church of Sweden. With its construction overseen by Eberhard Burger, the new building was inaugurated on 31 October 1982.
