The Vermont Granite Museum is a museum in the city of Barre, Vermont, devoted to the city's historically important granite quarrying and processing industry. It is located at 7 Jones Brothers Way, in the former Jones Brothers Granite Shed, a former granite processing facility listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Stone Arts School, administered by the museum, is a teaching institution for aspiring sculptors.

The New England Culinary Institute (NECI) was a private for-profit culinary school in Montpelier, Vermont. It was open for 40 years before shutting down as result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Union Meetinghouse, also known as The Old Meeting House and the East Montpelier Center Meeting House, is a historic church on Center Road in East Montpelier, Vermont. Built in 1823–26, it is the oldest church building in the greater Montpelier area, and a well-preserved example of Federal period church architecture. It served as a union church for multiple denominations for many years, and housed the annual town meetings until 1849. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is now home to a non-denominational community congregation.

The Parley Davis House is a historic house on Center Road in East Montpelier, Vermont. Built in stages between 1795 and about 1805, it is one of the oldest buildings in the community, built by one of the first settlers of Montpelier, and served as the site of town government until 1828. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Center Road Culvert is a historic stone culvert on Center Road at Mallory Brook in East Montpelier, Vermont. It was built in 1899 as an early project after the establishment of the Vermont Highway Commission in 1898, and is a well-preserved example of dry-laid stone box culvert. The last major work on the culvert was performed in 1930, after it suffered damage in Vermont's devastating 1927 floods. VTrans recommended the culvert undergo preservation rather than replacement following damage from Hurricane Irene, and Mallory Brook is to be rerouted through a larger modern structure. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.

Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC) is the primary health care provider located in Berlin, Vermont providing care for the people of the central portion of Vermont. The medical staff numbers 121 physicians including nine community-based medical group practices. CVMC provide 24-hour emergency care, with 122 inpatient beds. CVMC is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. CVMC includes Woodridge Nursing Home.

Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA) is a private graduate-level art school in Montpelier, Vermont. It offers Master's degrees in a low-residency format. Its faculty includes Pulitzer Prize finalists, National Book Award winners, Newbery Medal honorees, Guggenheim Fellowship and Fulbright Program fellows, and Ford Foundation grant recipients. The literary magazine Hunger Mountain is operated by VCFA writing faculty and students.

The Joshua Twing Gristmill is a historic industrial facility at 450 North Main Street in the city of Barre, Vermont. Built in 1844, it is a remarkably high-style example of Greek Revival architecture for an essentially utilitarian industrial structure. Joshua Twing, its builder, was engaged for many years in a variety of industrial pursuits, primarily considered with engineering improvements in water wheels and turbines. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

College Hall is the central building of the campus of the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, U.S. state of Vermont. Located prominently on Ridge Street atop Seminary Hill, this 1872 Second Empire building has been a major visual and architectural landmark in the city since its construction. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance in 1975.

Hope Cemetery is a rural cemetery in Barre, Vermont. The city calls itself the "Granite Capital of the World", and the cemetery is known for the superb granite craftsmanship on its memorials and tombstones. Barre is also home to the world's largest "deep hole" granite quarry, the Rock of Ages quarry, also known as the "E. L. Smith Quarry".

Association of Vermont Independent Colleges (AVIC) is a membership industry organization for independent Vermont higher education institutions. It was founded in 1982 and is located in Montpelier, the state capital. AVIC services school administrators and leaders of 12 private institutions, whose cooperative endeavors benefit member institutions as well as students and their families. AVIC is a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. The organizational structure is a not-for-profit with a board, executive, and administrative staff.

The Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital is the State of Vermont's primary hospital for involuntary mental health patients. It is located in the town of Berlin, Vermont, in Washington County. With 25 beds, it was opened in 2014 as a replacement for the Vermont State Hospital, which had been closed due to flooding from Tropical Storm Irene.The hospital was designed and constructed by local firms at a cost of $23 million.
