Ariana (Tunisian city)

Ariana Governorate (Arabic: ولاية أريانة Wilāyat Aryānah pronounced [ærˈjæːnæ]; French: Gouvernorat de l'Ariana) is one of the twenty-four governorates (provinces) of Tunisia. It is in northern Tunisia, approximately triangular, having as one of its sides part of the Gulf of Tunis, it covers an area of 482 km² and has a population of 576,088 (2014 census). The capital is Ariana.

The Pioneer School of Ariana (French: Lycée Pilote de l'Ariana; Arabic: المعهد النّمـــوذجــي بأريـــانـة), commonly known as LPA, is a secondary school located in "l'Avenue de l'Indépendance" in Ariana, Tunisia. It is one of the most prestigious schools in Tunisia, known for its high quality education and its highly competitive environment : it enjoys a success rate of 100% at the Baccalaureate exam. In 2018 it was ranked 1st regionally and 1st nationally .

The National Engineering School of Carthage (Arabic: المدرسة الوطنية للمهندسين بقرطاج) or ENICarthage, is a Tunisian engineering school based in the city of Ariana located in the north of the country. Part of the Carthage University.

The Institut Supérieur des Études Technologiques de Charguia (Higher Institute of Technological Studies of Charguia), commonly abbreviated ISET Charguia or ISETch, was created by virtue of Decree no. 2000-981, dated 11 May 2000. It falls under the General Direction of Technogical Studies of the Ministry of Higher Education.It comprises two departments: information technology and business administration.

Sup'Com (or SUP'COM or Higher School of Communication of Tunis or Engineering School of Communication of Tunis) (Arabic: المدرسة العليا للمواصلات بتونس), founded in 1998, is the main school of educating engineers in telecommunications in Tunisia. It is affiliated to the University of Carthage and occupies the advanced ranks in the competitive examination for the access to the engineering studies. As a school of national elites, Sup’Com evenly benefits from the tutelage of both, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Researchand the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. Member of the Réseau Méditerranéen des Ecoles d'Ingénieurs (Mediterranean engineering schools’ network), Sup’Com was admitted since December 2008 as an associated member in the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE), it is furthermore the first foreign school to be associated internationally with the Institut Mines-Télécom. Sup’Com is an engineering school, which main objectives are: Training engineers with a higher scientific and technical level, capable to conceive, implement and manage services, systems and telecommunication networks. Contributing to the national effort related to the scientific and technological research in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). The in-service or qualifying training, of senior managers in the ICT field.With the admission, of the first 150 candidates over 8500, in the competitive examination for the access to the engineering studies, Sup’Com made the choice of quality and the distinguished pedagogical and scientific supervision. The biannual teaching is organized into modules provided in diverse forms (integrated courses, practical, customized works and mini projects).

Tunis–Carthage International Airport, Arabic: مطار تونس قرطاج الدولي, IATA: TUN, ICAO: DTTA) is the international airport of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. It serves as the home base for Tunisair, Tunisair Express, Nouvelair Tunisia, and Tunisavia. The airport is named for the historic city of Carthage, located just east of the airport.

The Lycée Pierre Mendès France is a French private lycée (high school) in Mutuelleville, Tunis, Tunisia. It was founded in 1956 as an annex of the Lycée Carnot of Tunis, and originally named the "Lycée Francais de Mutuelleville." It was renamed in honor of politician Pierre Mendès-France on the occasion of President François Mitterrand's 1983 visit to Tunisia. President Jacques Chirac visited the school in December, 2003. He caused some controversy when he told the students "Wearing a veil, whether we want it or not, is a sort of aggression that is difficult for us to accept."It is a part of the Établissement Régional de Tunis (ERT) along with two primary schools, the École Georges Brassens and the École Robert Desnos.

Mutuelleville is a district of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. It is located north of the downtown area, and borders Parc du Belvédère to the southwest. The main street through Mutuelleville is Avenue Jugurtha. Mutuelleville is known as a more upper-class area of Tunis, and it is home to many of the city's foreign embassies and other diplomatic offices. Other notable locations are the Lycée Pierre Mendès France, the university dormitories of Harroun Errachid and Fattouma Bourguiba, the Chedli Zouiten stadium, and the Sheraton Tunis hotel.

The Private Higher School of Engineering and Technology (French: École supérieure privée d'ingénierie et de technologie) or ESPRIT, is a private engineering school in Tunisia based in Ariana and accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (approval N°2003-03).
