Sunny Lake

Świerczewo is a municipal neighborhood of the city of Szczecin, Poland situated on the left bank of Oder river, west of the Szczecin Old Town and Middle Town, in Zachód (West) District. As of January 2011 it had a population of 16,860.Before 1945 when Stettin was a part of Germany, the German name of this suburb was Stettin-Schwarzow.

Multinational Corps Northeast was formed on 18 September 1999 at Szczecin, Poland, which became its headquarters. It evolved from what was for many years the only multinational corps in NATO, Allied Land Forces Schleswig-Holstein and Jutland (LANDJUT) (in its turn, a part of Allied Forces Northern Europe). From 1962 LANDJUT had been responsible for the defence of the Baltic Approaches from a headquarters at Rendsburg, Germany. It comprised the 6th Panzergrenadier Division and the Danish Jutland Division.

Jakub Wujek Square (Polish: Plac Jakuba Wujka) is a circular garden square and a roundabout in Szczecin, Poland. It is placed on the axis of Przerwy-Tetmajera Street in the municipal neighbourhood of Pogodno, within the district of Zachód. It is surrounded by historical villas dating to the early 20th century. The square was developed in the 1890s.

The statue of Wojtek the Bear (Polish: Pomnik misia Wojtka) is a bronze sculpture in Szczecin, Poland, within the Krzekowo-Bezrzecze neighbourhood. It is placed at the Wojtek the Bear Square, at the corner of Misia Wojtka and Żyzna Streets. It is dedicated to Wojtek (1942–1963), a Syrian brown bear which accompanied the 2nd Polish Corps during World War II. The monument was designed by Bogdan Ronin-Walknowski, and unveiled on 23 May 2019
