State Youth Remand Centre - Rangeview was an Australian juvenile remand prison facility for between 10 and 18 years, located in Murdoch, Western Australia.The prison was primarily used for the detention of juveniles held in custody awaiting trial. The detainees had access to a variety of activities and educational programs. Detainees aged 17 and under were required to attend school.In 2012, the detainees were moved to Banksia Hill Juvenile Detention Centre and the facility closed. In November 2012, Wandoo Reintegration Facility opened on the site.

Wandoo Rehabilitation Prison, formerly Wandoo Reintegration Facility, is an Australian minimum and medium security prison for women located in Murdoch, Western Australia. The prison commenced operation in August 2018 as a dedicated Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) rehabilitation facility for women to help them break the cycle of addiction.Wandoo has a campus-style layout with low-rise accommodation, communal kitchens, laundries and sports facilities set in gardens.

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is a 511-bed private non-profit hospital located in the southern suburbs of Perth in Western Australia, immediately adjacent to the public Fiona Stanley Hospital campus. The distance between the entrances to the emergency departments of these two hospitals is approximately 390 m (427 yd). Established in 1994, the hospital services the southern suburbs of Perth. It provides comprehensive hospital services for more than 50,000 patients each year, with the emergency department. St John of God Murdoch Hospital is a division of St John of God Health Care.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a state government hospital and teaching facility in Murdoch, Western Australia. Completed in December 2013, the hospital is the largest building project ever undertaken for the Government of Western Australia. It is immediately adjacent to the private non-profit St John of God Murdoch Hospital, with the distance between the entrances to the emergency departments of these two hospitals being approximately 390 metres (430 yd).

Kardinya is a suburb 13 kilometres (8 mi) south-southwest of the central business district of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It is in the City of Melville local government area. It is predominantly a low-density residential suburb consisting of single-family detached homes. There is a commercial area in the centre of the suburb, with a shopping centre and several other shops. In the northwest is a small light industrial area. Kardinya has a population of 8,730 people. Before European settlement, the area was inhabited by the Beeliar group of the Whadjuk Noongar people. Kardinya did not attract any interest from Europeans when the Swan River Colony was founded in 1829, as it was far away from any river and was not fertile. European use of Kardinya began in 1870 when fourteen lots were allocated to Pensioner Guards. These lots were used for piggeries, poultry farms and vineyards. In 1904, a large amount of land in the area was set aside as endowment land for the University of Western Australia. In the 1920s, this land started to be used as a pine plantation, known as the Applecross Pine Plantation, and, after 1947, the Somerville Pine Plantation. The suburb was formally gazetted on 16 June 1961. From 1967 to the early 1980s, suburban development occurred in Kardinya. Current amenities in Kardinya include Kardinya Primary School, North Lake Senior Campus, Kardinya Park Shopping Centre, and Morris Buzacott Reserve, which is home to several sports clubs. The suburb is quadrisected by South Street and North Lake Road. Transperth bus services operate, most feeding into Murdoch railway station on the Mandurah railway line.

Murdoch Park 'n' Ride was a Transperth bus station located in Murdoch, Western Australia. It opened on 14 December 1994 with parking for 583 cars.On 31 January 2007 it closed to facilitate the construction of Murdoch railway station, which incorporated a bus facility on a bridge structure extending over the Kwinana Freeway carriageways and train station. The Park & Ride no longer exists as a bus station, but now operates as a fully integrated bus/train interchange. The buses now leave from the purpose-built bus way bridge that runs parallel to the South Street overpass.

Corpus Christi College is a private, co-educational, Catholic, College, located in Bateman, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Established in 1983, the College has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 1,755 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The majority of students attending the college are drawn from the local parishes of Bateman, Willetton, Applecross, Winthrop, Riverton and Canning Vale.
